Hi, What was the start issue like? Mine has some issues too, sometimes the starter motor clicks but won't turn over, like it's stuck. I put the bike in gear, roll it forward and reverse a few times to turn the engine, then put it in neutral and it starts. Strange.
Helló Marci, Since my bike had 1.5 year rest I have put some WD40 to the pistons through the spark plug holes, turned the main shaft by hand beforehand. Despite of this there was the problem and it sounded like a "kereplő". (To the ones who don't know what the heck is that: ruclips.net/video/ZWwXYtVoh74/видео.html). It was not clear if the starter motor or the starter relay gave it. Now I can confirm that after cleaning the whole problem disappeared! On the forum one of the guys had similar issue but for him there was only a loud click and the motor didn't turn. He performed the cleaning and after his problem disappeared too.
Good morning from Greece I have a 1997 transalp double disc brake front and I have a problem with my idle going up and down not too much and when I leave in long street it makes explosions but on the road it goes well so you can tell me what you can do video for this motorcycle if you can show us how to get the bearings off the steering wheel and the wheels
Hello, I am afraid I don't really understand you clearly still let's give it a try..... As I have stated more times I am not a bike or car mechanic. I am just a Transalp owner who tries to maintain his bike so most probably not the best person to ask. Also I haven't got this issue so far but if I were in your shoes I would check the followings in order: - check if there is some "leakage" in the air line so the bike can suck extra air where it is not supposed to (like JC022, JC030 etc.). I would use brake cleaner (since I have that one on hand) - check carb sync and adjust if necessary (JC020) - make sure air-fuel mixture is ok (JC034 - but I couldn't get finalize that step yet) - make sure the carburetor diaphragms are ok (JC027) Well pretty much that's all from me maybe somebody else can come up with other ideas. Errr...do you need info on bearing removal of wheels and steering head? If so I have done this way: JC012, JC014, JC021 Good luck, hope it helps!
Tanks for you videos. From italia 🇮🇹

Hello, frankly it was ages ago and I don't really remember how I did it. But Haynes says that it shall be removed.
