- I get quite a few questions on controllers, and I figured let me show you how we install one in a sheetrock wall.
Our installs are all about the fit and finish and we like to do 99% of them exactly the same. Surface boxes are all well and good but don't look clean. And if the customer wants to put or push back shelving the external box will be in the way. Like I said in the video sometimes you do need to install one of these boxes.
All Navien NPN unites come with a controller and you will need to buy on if installing an external NPE unit.
The box I use can be purchase at any local big box store or at a local electrical supply house.
The box is called finished work box.
The screws are 6/32 X 1" long.

The wire I use is 18-2 conductor
Blue wire nuts
As you can see its quite simple and very fast to install and will give your job a much cleaner look.

Hi, I have a Rinnai R94LS that sounds like an air compressor running when in use. Very loud rumbling/vibrating/humming. It’s intermittent, shows no error codes, and has worked fine for six years. Removed and cleaned out the fan and did not help. What should I check next? Thanks
There could be something in the Air box, vent pipe or the high low gas settings are off.
I see people installing pex for condensation lines on the Navien . This is a big No .
I use CPVC ONLY WITH A PLASTIC FEMALE ADAPTOR
