I have a 2020hybrid LE in ruby flare with tinted windows, sunroof, blind spot monitoring visor lights, weather tech rubber front, rear, and trunk protection and wireless charging capability that I bought with 46k miles certified Toyota pre owned with a perfect service record for 30k and I absolutely love it. You end up spending about same on both cars if you own both cars for like 6 years each. Seems neither is cost saving if you own for like 6 years. They cost same.
Hybrid is more expensive to buy. Non Hybrid is cheaper.
Hybrid saves money on gas in 6 years. Non Hybrid spends more on gas in 6 years.
Hybrid cost more to insure than non Hybrid.
So, conclusion is you end up spending about same on both in 6 years of ownership.
