Thank you for posting this! This is a fantastic piece of interview action. I really love how positive, optimistic and just open he is in this and he has a smile on his face the whole time. Jeff is just a free spirit, never closed off to anything yet he has such a presence and warmth in his personality! You can just feel his presence when he's performing, the way he becomes one with his music and the way he interacts with the audience. -3

Best interview ever given by a guy wearing a bug cap.

Just a terrific interview. Thanks so much for posting.I agree with everything Liebieck said-- Jeff is so sincere and real, and he seems even more unguarded in this interview than usual.

So insightful. I wish he'd do more interviews - I love hearing his take on things.

I love the thought Jeff puts into interviews. He's intelligent, honest, and disarmingly candid. I agree with him about YHF. I love that album, but I prefer the live versions of most of those songs. Kickling Television is the first album I recommend to people who ask me about Wilco (But all of their albums are excellent and unique IMHO.). Thanks for sharing, lentejalunar!

You can see the pin-point pupils, he was probably on a handful of Vicodin during that interview.

For the offended for no reason bleaters; he wrote a big ole memoir telling us so.
And pinpoint pupils=choke opioids on board.

Wow, really, ya think so? Curious, How well do you know Jeff personally? He really opened up in this interview and always seems to be very willing to talk about his artistic process and share his experiences. Nothing here even remotely comes off as pretentious or selfish. where do you get off saying such a thing, you jealous wretch? If you feel disrespected then you obviously have some sort of complex that will require treatment. Look into it.

Tweedy is such a weasel. Talented guy but he pretends to be clueless about the way he insults and disrespects everyone but himself.

How does he insult and disrespect others?

100%, poor Jay Bennett - coldly fired and couldn't even afford a routine hip operation which ultimately killed him in the end. Tweedy is a slug. It's all about him. He's a little Madam.
