Shit crazy how underrated of a ball handler he is. He has that sixth sense of knowing when to speed it up or slow it down perfected. I knew I wasn’t tripping watching the game . He has a lot of IQ
your channel is one of the best basketball channels on the market. You guys are slept on so much keep on working Guys I love it, im going D1 because of y'all.
He really deserves his contact. His skillset is jusy complete. Also by playing with Jokic he's no stranger to off ball movement with cuts and reading defenses. Usually when you have a guy with pick and roll tendency their off ball game are a bit lacking. But he can just do that as well
Great video. Jamal really went from leaking a pic early covid, to coming back from 3-1 twice. Legendary stuff. Let’s see how it goes against the Lakers.
PLEASE DO A FULL BREAK DOWN OF THOSE EXPLOSIVE MOVES SET TOWARDS THE END OF THE VIDEO (4min past) i really would to understand how to use my footwork to help with my option of driving to the bastket
Same way I got shitted on for calling him my favorite player before the 2018 playoffs started and he made noise and now I'm just apparently just a bandwagon as well even though Jamal has been my favorite player since I started following and became a fan of the Nuggets in February of 2019.
The high efficiency shots (open 3s and layups) mostly disappear against focused playoff defense. Practicing the "inefficient" shots until you can make them at a high enough % is key to scoring in the playoffs. Of course, you still need to be good enough at the "efficient" shots to give something the defenders to bite on, otherwise, they can shut down your limited shot palette fairly easily. See DeMar DeRozan and his limited playoff success due to his bad 3 point shot, despite having one of the best mid-range games. Being able to turn over either shoulder to shoot and using your off-hand to shoot also helps. The more ways you can fake your defenders into biting one way, the more you can score in another way.
I agree. In the martial arts, for comparison, sometimes you can focus on doing one or two things really well. But, in basketball you've got to have 5 players on the floor who can contribute in some way to the scoring and shooting in several different ways. Limit your offensive range and they can shut it down.
@@markhathaway9456 Indeed. Your point about the "5 man game" is my preferred method of maximizing offensive and defensive efficiency. Having an amazing isolation scorer who can attract double/triple teams is definitely important for playoff basketball, but the preferred method to maximize each possession is to use your entire 5-man team to generate good shots. That way, you generate different scoring opportunities, and can force the defense to consider multiple options if the options generate points fairly efficiently. Of the teams still around, Miami probably best represents this ideal. Iso scoring efficiency is needed when the team offense gets stopped, and when you need a good shot attempt as the shot clock winds down. But over the course of a whole game and playoff series, you need to maximize the scoring opportunities for each possession, and the best way is to keep the defense guessing and falling for fakes.
can you do tutorials on some of the freeze/explosive moves set that get defenders stuck in between decisions - his moves also dont involve too much energy which can be translated into better openings for shots
Please do attention to detail Alex Caruso: Air Caruso He fr is actually so good of a player. A really solid player whose stock should be really valued in any team.
Murray is 6 4 and avg NBA vert, and he is scoring over big men with very tough shots. If an avg dude is to do a suden stop and fade away at 7 ft from ring, he wont score even if there is no defender.
@Hoop Club One out of Three does not a superstar make. We'll see how he does with the adjustments they make in Game 4. He's gonna be a really good one if he stays healthy
Passing? Double-teams? He seems to be about as short as one can be to go inside the way he does. Most of his finishes in the video are underhand scoops, not dunks. Is he consistently good? There's a lot these videos don't show, though they show a lot.
He really has modeled his game after kyrie irving. He is like a poor mans kyrie. His entire offensive game is predicated off his handle and a quick compact shooting motion and being able to finish over bigger defenders. Even their jumpers look veeery similar. Only difference is he is more durable than kyrie and looks for contact where as kyrie avoids contact
He's just the right size for a PG, but when you're up against a guy with that height and wingspan like Gobert its just incredible. But I think his best trait is his midrange game, how he feel the defender's body position to get good timing to shoot those fade aways and hang floaters
Idc what anybody says but if you have this type of content on the internet and have dedication, there is no reason why you could not become a great bball player
21DAKOTA HARRISON ik lmao im not talking about strength and all that im taking about actual basketball like Iq finishing etc🤦🏾♂️ obv u just need a ball for handles
Cabra Ninja When you feel like they’re about to cut you off while you’re driving to the lane, that’s the best time to snatch back. Don’t worry, I reckon Coleman will make a video on that soon. Just practice and imagine there’s a defender getting in your way while you drive to the basket, then change speeds with the snatch back.
Cabra Ninja you literally just answered your own question. You DON’T have the reaction time. That’s it. So work on your reaction time. You’re over-complicating shit and being lazy when u ask someone to give you the answers when they’re right in your face you just not paying attention.

Hes the reason im watch Kentucky basketball , i been following him since he started there , i know he will be a great bballer
Him and Jokic reminds me so much of Timmy D and Parker. Yes, Timmy and Tony are better but Murray-Jokic pick n roll and chemistry is something else 🔥

Who's harder to guide one on one? Harden or Murary?
right now its harden no doubt

yo, can you make a breakdown for Snatch backs? I'd love to see a way to send defenders to the ground
All I know is that you gotta make a defender turn his hips AND THEN snatch back. This change of speed causes ankles to be broken (most of the time).
@@KingDawg72 the problem is, I dont have the reaction time to see their hips (I know its instinctive, but it just doesn't work out for me)
