Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic was the English name of the Belorussian modern state in Soviet times.
Changed in 1991 to the Modern writing and name after the collapse of the USSR.
Pronounced yeee less like yiii when you speak it.
Not bilorussion but Bjelorussian I guess in pronounciation. At least thats how we pronounced it in germany and how I heard it from eastern europeans (who still often confuse it with the modern writtting in english).

Yeah ended up looking it up towards the end of the video. Do you know if it was pronounced as bye-lo? Or was it belo still?

I think a Russian speaker would read the Cyrillic letter [е] as "ye", not sure about Belarusian though. In Ukrainian it would be read as a plain "e". Belarusian pronunciation might be "ie" but I'm not sure @@BandannersRTS

Huge fan of 2.3 I really think PACT needs some love. Honestly would not have cared if they added the PACT divs from 2.2 and 2.3

I'm obviously biased due to also being british, but I've kinda been supprised at how excited I've been becoming for the 35th Infantry Division that's going to be coming to the EA pack. The vehicles being added and the various weird and wacky things dragged out of storage for them feels really exciting and has me genuinely hyped.
So with this context in mind, 2.3. is REALLY exciting to me. A lot of people are acting like the only exciting things in this division are the Ghurkas, which as many will cry, "We're getting anyway", but they're honestly the least interesting part of the cool stuff to me. Instead, the centurian, older chieften models, the TIGERHAWK, ELETRIC LIGHTNING, and the god damn CENTURIAN all have me insanely hyped. I love these old, obselesent 50's, 60's, and 70's era designs making their way into WARNO, it's so much fun, and they can be a legit blast to play. The UK doesn't have ANY divisions that feel "normal" at the moment, much like the french. Both 1st Uk and 2nd UK feel very distinct from everything else, in a similar manner to 5E and 11E. (berlin CMD pretty much isn't a british division it just happens to have a brit flag on it). This feels like it'll really round out the british playstyle options whilst still being distinct, being a "reserve" division that still has a higher quality of troops then say territorial commando SUD or the forthcoming 35th. It'll make for a really good counterpoint to the 34-ya Tankovaya Diviziya, as noted in the blogpost, the soviets don't really have any proper oddball reserve divisions. The closest is the 6-YA OG Motorstrelki brig. which is awsome, but outside of it's cheap "flying circus" L-39ZO jets is actually full of fairly pricy and elite units.
I'm not sure I expect to see 2.3 win - there's a supprising number of people who are obsessed with 2.1, and 2.2 has a lot of folks gunning for it because of it being so "out there" (which to be clear I do also like I just feel like it's slightly retreading ground more then I'd like as we've already recently had a VDV air assault brigade added on top of the existing on, and having thought about it I do worry that the 152e Division d’Infanterie will end up being quite similar to 11e, with it's similar focus on excellent infantry (including resolute), mediocre artillery, useage of the AML-90 as it's tank offerings (extremely similar to the existing ERC-90 used in the same role for 11e), and excellent airpower. I think a lot of people just aren't that familiar with the French divisions, but they really do feel quite similar to me.

Thank you for taking the time to make such a detailed comment :)
I tend to agree, I like that there is "new" interesting stuff for the British, I know I might big up the Gurkhas but its nice to see some older unusual gear being put in like the Centurion, extra variety is good.
I suspect a lot of people will want this one for the PACT division because it does sound quite strong.
But you are right for others 2.1 and 2.2 are proffered for the NATO option.

so a sub par British division (as always) and a surprisingly C-tier (but actually A) with hilariously op units.
"this division had nothing to work with, so comrades have commandeered absolutely everything and then some"

All 3 options are well picked in my eye's. I'd love to see all 6 div. ingame but only one will make it. I think 2.3 has the highest chance, because all PACT players will take this. NATO will devide between 2.1 and 2.2. Personally I'm still undecided and I'm really eager to see which one will make it.

Remember, it’s entirely possible we could get whatever divisions don’t win and they just get developed later.

2.3 for the win although I agree the 34th… probably needs to be weak in some category… cause right now that’s basically good in everything.

So a british division calling on it's WW2 equipment with poor recon who's main advantage is fat logis (at 2 per card) and a soviet division that has everything. Sounds about right.

I mean a lot of british infatery does not sound that bad. Sec. Units will double as recon.
It will all come down on what aviability and prices will new british units get.
