But a good example to point to of how this could have turned out differently is the incident that happened a few days ago (in Portland, I think) where two officers are on the ground wrestling with a 19-yo male and he pulled out a gun during the struggle and almost blew one of the cops heads off. Police didn’t see the weapon in the bag, until they took it away from him by using excessive force. They use that as an excuse to try to save their actions. What if the bag had money and not a weapon. Haven’t they been train to use the pinky method 🤦♂️. And bend each finger to retrieve the bag. They need to get locked up

He was no threat, he was on the ground just holding a bag and refusing to give it up. could of easily pull one pinky out and retrieve the bag in a second. I understand if he has pulled out the gun and is trying to aim at you, but he didn’t even do that. If he really wanted to shoot the cops he would have done it right there and then when he came out the car. He ran because of fear and didn’t want to give the bag up because he knew he fucked up. Is a natural instinct to hide stuff that you aren’t supposed to have. I hope these officers get charged and sued.

Maybe not a gun in a bag, but definitely when juveniles had shanks and knifes. We didn’t go in there and start punching them. I took CSM training, so I knew exactly what I had to do, in order to avoid injury to the juvenile with the most safest and precautious way.
