Smithaji, u look so beautiful,🎉🎉 priest women. aap ka dishes and presentation explanation...next level. I loved your traditional vessels too. Great collection, connects to the roots
Interesting recipe - will try. I like Maharashtrian, Uttarakhandi and Punjabi flavours a lot. You know something? Pitla in Tamil is a thick tamarind based dish made in Tamil Nadu with karela which has some coconut and jaggery too. Now, I am a Tamilian who grew up in north India and I thought pitla was a Tamil word because I didn't know much about cooking. Recently, during Covid, I discovered that the Marathas invaded Tanjore hundereds of years ago and married Tamilians. Some dishes were exchanged. Pitla was one. I realised it is a Marathi word! See how culture influences each other's communities!
पिठलं Pithala is a marathi word. But what is shown is not pithla. It can be said as a kadhi (कढी)... Actually not even a kadhi (कढी) , coz kadhi has butter milk as a base. It seems that she has added water profusely. Marathi Pithla is very thick. You can serve it in a plate without using any bowl or vaati (वाटी). This can be their way of making pithla.
Maharashtriyan gharagharat banala janar pithala. When you explain the recipe it looks so yummy . It looks like the mother is teaching her daughter or son how to make simple recipes first. Thank you so much ❤
Smitatai...we have a great respect for you and your family....love the way you let us into your life.Amchya kadhe asach banavtaat....this recipe has a distinct Karnataki touch😊....dhanyawaad
It look amazing, as a Rajasthani this recipe quite resamble with our dish which we call "Khadi".... Thanks for upload and intrducing us to maharastrian cusuine
Good to see u back will surely try it surely looks delicious ❤ although I prefer a little more thicker and would like like to have with Jawar or rice ka roti
I was literally drooling 😋😋😋 thats my favorite and my kind of comfort food especially when i travel and am back home i just crave for garma garam pithla bhat😋😋👌🏻👌🏻
Hi always like your video s and the way you explain Ma'am kindly teach more food items involving jowar or ragi or rice. We are from Bombay now settled here in Bangalore. The climate here doesn't support wheat. So making tiffin box for kids become a difficult. Wheat is heavy to digest . Can you please come up with some other ideas. Thanks
How interesting! I’ve never come across this before… where can i find a link to a written recipe in English please, really want to try this awesome dish
Scrumptious recipe, humble request i think you've forgotten about raw jackfruit biryani recipe i had request pls make video of that for vegetarians, it shouldn't be a pulao kind and many call it biryani. 🙏😍🌹
Mam, since now the Ganapati festival is over & we had a lot of sweets. Now its time to spice up our tongue 😋😋 Can you make a video on famous Goan Ros Omelette? 😋😋 This is a Goans most famous dish for breakfast or lunch or dinner. Thank you. 🙏🙏
No.... Pithala tastes different.... Here she used more of curd than besan... In authentic pithala recipe you use more of besan than curd so not to overpower the earthy flavour of besan over curd....there are many varieties of pithala (or we say besan in vidarbha) like onion besan, tomato onion besan, methi besan, palak besan, kakadiche besan and offcourese dahi besan.....with a tadaka of asefoeitida is must.... My personal favourite is onion tomato besan with fulaka or tuar daal khichadi..... As she said it is really a comfort food making you full but not heavy
Its maharashtrian takatla Pithla kadhi in maharashtra especially brahmin kadhi is made without garlic and in ghee and ginger has main place and hing moreover brahmin never use hing if garlic and onion used as hing smell is not preserved
Something similar to this is called More ( chaaj ) Kuzhambu in Tamil Cuisine, we use coconut instead of besan, Cashews to be ground with green chilly and coconut.. Red chilly, mustard only for thadka. Coconut & cashews would impart a much better taste than besan.
Please do keep the camera a bit zoomed out. It’s nice to the see the kitchen in the background when she is explaining. And while on stove, to be able to see the whole vessel instead of zoom in
Any masala beyond limit will never taste good,, what you do. Is took 1cup besan and 1cup garlick to make1ltr of pitla .do you think this ratio is perfect, no good mam
Absolutely agree. Authentic pithla is fodni of oil, mohri, hinga, halad; asel tar kanda partoon, pani, tikhat or green mirchi and salt and then besan. That’s it.
You are such an elegant lady. So well dressed and well spoken. As much as I enjoy your recipes, I also enjoy seeing your outfits and how you pair them with the most exquisite jewelry ❤️

Nice recipe sister New subscribe ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Do I have to keep stiring for 15 mins when the besan is cooking on low flame?
Can this be stored and eaten next day?
Our kadhi is somewhat similar.
The first "authentic" (?) Pithal receipe withOUT a tadka of mustard seeds and asafoetida
Which kind of red chiilies?
You can add bari and curry leaves 🍃 too
I like pitla very much because I am from Bombay and in my house we also make pitla and after that I never get chance to eat pitla.
Is garlic compulsory?

I m from chef Hassan muraad New chennal from Pakistan gilgit baltistani
Madam ur recipe is good but u forgot to add curry patta
Is it kadhi or pithla 😜
According to Ayurveda lemon should not be used in hot temperatures.
Sorry its kadhi
simple indeed but a kadhi ... no ?
Pls.check..its not a typical maharashtrian Piital..its a kadhi as u used Curd in it.
Maam we can understand n also talk in English...par aap agar Hindi mein recipe share karein tho Jo bhi apka vedio dekhnge wo sab comfortable rahenge

अमच्या कडे जरा वेगळी पद्धतीने बनवतात. सोबत हिरव्या मिर्ची चा ठेचा गरम गरम गावरान भात किंवा ज्वारीची जाड भाकरी.

This is NOT authentic pithla. Period!
Absolutely agree. Authentic pithla is fodni of oil, mohri, hinga, halad; asel tar kanda partoon, pani, tikhat or green mirchi and salt and then besan. That’s it.
@@simik4981 Absolutely. She didn't bother to put a tadka of Mohari and Hing. Stupid. and silly.
Why so much oil? Not necessary at all. Try less to make it a healthier version.
Ye to curry ke tarah bab rahi he bus vo thori patli hoti he ye gari he
This is entirely a different pithla cum kadhi but definitely not the authentic one !!
