@Mackenzie Bauroth an for the GAR... Alot of bored Clones who feel like they fighting the war on easy mode.. While the CIS would feel like even the planet hated them an the war difficulty was set to Insanity
I think droid technology during the clone wars was a perfect middle ground where droids were stupid enough to be surpassed by organics but not so stupid that it made them outright obsolete.
To me they are equal- both made to fight another mans war with himself. Given sentience but denied personhood and the existence of both is used to condemn the other side and condone the others
I don't see why droids haven't taken over the galaxy yet when a single infrastructure planning droid was able to take over the entire galactic criminal underworld.
Simple. most droids are programmed in such a way that until their personalities have sufficiently grown, need to be told what to do. hell, even that single infrastructure planning droid you mentioned did so only because in a way, it was told to do so.

As someone who has loved robots since she was small because of *Star Wars*, the movie Short Circut (1986), Isaac Asimov's writings, *Astro Boy*, and various mech anim, I say, "Droids and robots have rights, too! Roger! Roger!"
Imagine if there was at least one planet in Star Wars where Droids were granted the same rights as organics. Something like a highly advanced race of cyborgs who were in touch with technology almost akin to a religion perhaps? Feels like an interesting concept to explore. The closest we ever came to that was M4-78 from Legends.
I'm a bit disappointed in the Clone Wars we never got to representatives in the senate from a backwater world yelling about how the droids came in and "took er jerbz!!!"
Roger Roger. I wanted to do a story about a planet that was barren of life and droids were just tossed their. Some would still be active and they would start a to actually colonize it and make it into a completely droid based world. Probably where they would remain unchecked by the empire. It would be covered in buildings made of scrap and destroyed ships. It would be policed by battle droids and governed by super tactical droids. They would work, race, and trade. In the beginning it'd probably start out with a GNK droid, a pit-droid, a busted up protocol droid, and a few astromechs. The GNK being the only thing that kept the race from dying out until some construction droids and stuff started working to build places to charge them en mass.
I mean.. the fact that Gungan warriors evolved to the point where they had the balls to take on General Grievous and actually win.. just proves how badass they’ve become since the Battle of Naboo.
You know when you think about you make a good point that clones and droids aren’t really that different from each other...There both expendable pawns in the war. I’m on the side of droid and clone troopers rights. They both deserve better.
Showing my huge nerd side here. I play Yugioh and I recently finished a deck, this deck is based on a mix of star wars and the wizard of oz. Look up the cards, kozmo is the deck name. I only bring this up because it shows how far and how much influence star wars has(had) within the world, even outside companies that have nothing to do with it
Okay, first, where is the image from 6:10-6:23? It looks good, like an actual scene from The Clone Wars. Second, It's surprising to hear the Trandosians have issues with Droids, given they joined the Separatists and even used Droids during the Battle of Kashyyyk, as seen in Republic Commandos.
I’m a Pragmatic version of the two extremes. I lean towards organics dominating everything. However, whatever & wherever organics can’t function properly, especially in hazardous zones full of toxins & radiation, droids would fill in. Same principles applies to combat, organics, those who lead the charge & push for war, should be the ones leading the offensive while Droids are best used more defensively than offensively…
It gets more messed up when you remember that (at least A New Hope) droids were stand ins for black people. So for example the scene where C3PO and R2 aren’t allowed in the cantina, is an example of how some bars wouldn’t serve black people. Feel like Lucas dropped that concept later because it would have been to much to really tackle properly with where he was taking the IP of Star Wars.
It long bothered me that the issue of Droid slavery is basically ignored as a storyline in SW Movies. even the Rebel Alliance and NR had no problem using droids as disposable forces and labour. The only Movie that came close to using this as a story WAS Solo and PREDICTABLY made a mockery of the concept.

Well I can understand anti-droid sentiments from anyone who has faced a Basilisk Ear-droid, that or spoken to a droid owned by a certain widow encountered by Revan...
Ah, that droid who was forced into being like the widow's husband. I felt AWFUL for him, since the only options I was given was to either destroy the droid or send him back into slavery, when in reality the correct option was to let the droid be free.
Imagine if the droid army won the clone wars and ruled the galaxy up till the yuuzhan vong invasion, many would see them as liberators you know until they start terraforming and mutating everything.
Roger roger! 😊 Whereas there is a large debate as to whether an artificial being can be truly sentient (at least, without having once been organic and for-sure sentient), this being further complicated by the view of what sentience truly is and whether or not it involves a soul or heart (not the blood-pumping organ, to be clear), I personally lean toward them not being able to have true sentience-with that being said, however, I firmly believe that, just incase, it would be best to treat them similarly to people: it is better to be safe than sorry, and it is best to be compassionate (even if only for its own sake and for the sake of good habit, much more so if they did turn out to be truly-sentient), rather than being cruel and spiteful when it seems it can be gotten away with (even if they are not sentient and would not Truly suffer from it [rather, giving the appearance of it], it would still be a bad habit and a shady thing). Even if just out of habit and carefulness, they should be treated As If sentiment, even if this is an uncertain matter. 😊
9:18: Roger Roger. If clones like the Jango Fett clones and Webbigail Vanderquack-McDuck have rights, so do robots and droids like Artoo, Threepio, HK-47 (yes, even him), Chopper, the geth, EDI, and many others.
ROGER ROGER I would say that so long as the droid is programmed to enjoy their purpose I would say it’s fine. Even though battle droids often ran from odds that were exponentially stacked against them they still maintained a sense of patriotism for the CIS and even have concern for each other. If a droid is content with their programming and is treated well, I would say they are fine where they are at.
