How does this not have more views and comments? Mel C is iconic!!
Shes just delightful. My entire childhood was the Spice Girls. They were such a phenomenon here in London, it was a real movement. Memories ill always cherish, feel super lucky to have grown up in such an irreplaceable era.
She is literally an interviewers dream, Mel is always so precise and eloquent and well spoken. No hmmm or ehhhh or babling. She knows what’s up.
I was literally smiling from the start till end of this WHOLE HOUR INTERVIEW, never a dull moment. Such a brilliantly done interview in ages! All the right questions and the right answers. Mel C is such a delight to hear, so eloquent, I love her mind! And kudos to the interviewer as well, so much respect and mad research was done here. Now all I hope is, while the girls are still waiting for that "organic" moment to record SG4, - I wish they would all agree to re-record Never Give Up On The Good Times (a beefed up 2022 disco mix with Biff!) for Spiceworld 25 next year and they all shoot a commemorative glammed up music video! I think NGOTGT's message is so timely right now, and what a way to celebrate Spiceworld's timeless magic next year!

This was such a brilliant interview. You guys really knew all the right stuff about Spice Girls legacy and made lot of really good questions. I am sure she really appreciated the respect you gave to their work and hers as a solo artist. I hope I can meet the girls again. I was lucky to see one of their shows on June 13th, 2019 and was really frustrated this week after Melanie's European tour was cancelled next year for valid reasons. Cheers from Uruguay.

No interviewer asks questions and is as actively engaged with his guests as Zach. Mel C admits to being shy, but she was obviously comfortable throughout this whole thing.
Saw them in '98 at Wembley and again in 2007 at the o2. Still love them today as a 41 year-old dad of 3 🇬🇧
The Spice Girls really did pave the way for Girls Aloud, Atomic Kitten, Sugababes, The Saturdays and Little Mix. They gave me my love for Girlbands and I'll forever be grateful for that.
This woman is fabulous, so thoughtful and seems genuinely kind. Some of my overall favorite songs are hers and her voice is so soothing.
I could listen to her talk for hours! So much insight, wisdom, humility, and kindness.
She is so cool. Such a talented performer and such a sweet heart.

Mel C is my favorite Spice Girl and her solo music SLAPS! She’s sooooooo good and I feel too underrated but it’s ok I recognize her talent.
Her albums after each reunion always improve in quality. It shows that she gets reinvigorated each time.
She’s amazing, I love her, and I will love the spice girls till the end of time! I really hope they ALL get back together, it would make all my dreams come true!

You can't talk about Spice Girls without acknowledging Mel B & Geri as the influencers to other three (Mel C, Emma & Victoria) to leave Heart Management & pursue their dreams to release an album & sell their music the world.
How refreshing to see a flowing interview where they were allowing each other to speak freely - no interruptions and talking over each other. Interviews like that make me annoyed and I want to switch off. I enjoyed this.

This is one of the best interviews of Mel that I've seen.
Great interview. I saw the girls live when they toured the states summer of 98. My first concert at 12 ❤️ Then had the chance to see Melanie play a club in NYC during the Northern Star tour. That show was pivotal seeing her kickass by herself (and her female band - from then on all I wanted to do was go to clubs and hear live bands which later led to me playing bass and guitar in a few bands). Plus that album really got me through a lot.
I ended up getting more into indie rock and punk (“Goin Down” definitely peaked my interest) as I got older but I’ve always kept an eye out for Melanie C’s solo music.
She looks better than ever and it’s so nice to see her in the states. Hope she tours the Northeast again ✌🏼
I usually don’t finish watching an interview this long, i just saw the title and get excited to anything about spice girls getting back together. But then when their conversation started and when mel c speaks, i just couldn’t stop listening. There was never a dull moment. Most of my thoughts in my mind are even tackled here and thats what makes me more hooked to watching this vid til the end. Always loved sporty. Love ALL of them spice girls. Hope to see them all 5 together in shows, in a move, and on stage. 👏🏻🌏❤️
Yes, we need a Spice Girls biopic. Absolutely. But much later because It needs to be done right. They've often spoken about how chaotic and emotional their journey has been and I'm sure there's a ton of behind the scenes drama they haven't mentioned.
Also, as much as I'd love new music from them, I'm all for letting it happen Organically, like she said. They write their own material and you can't rush art.
When most of them are dead maybe, so we can get the truth.
I think Mel C would be like, “GERI IS LYING! And fuck off for whatever bad shit you say about me!”

She's such a professional...I have loved the spice girls since i was 9 yrs old. I have seen almost every interview, documentary, you name it. all of them are just so unapologetically themselves and it's so refreshing to see that and to have them as role models. I love that she comments on the magnitude of their fame in such a modest fashion. Like their song Right Back Atcha, they sing "A new generation of spice we created." They truly have! I don't know that they give themselves enough credit for everything they've achieved and the influence they had/have on other artists and regular ppl alike. I can't say enough amazing things about them, so i'll stop rambling here. They are so loved and thank you for bringing such a beautiful soul onto your show!!!

I have to say, this interview was such a joy to watch. I've never seen a Melanie C interview, but I thought I would check it out because I really enjoyed her self titled album (so so good, and worth a listen!). I love how natural the entire conversation was. Great questions, great responses. Mel is really cool and quite lovely at the same time.

Mel C has always been my favorite, at 9 years old I would dress up as her and take pictures with all her poses lol, she is so talented and so intelligent. She answers every question with such grace and eloquence.
This by far is probably one of the best interviews I’ve seen, for anyone. I’m glad to Melanie come full circle and embrace everything and be at peace and now enjoy the whole thing. And these dudes are the best hosts too letting her talk and delve into her past. It would be nice to see the other girls on this show. Job well done guys. And Melanie too!!! 🙌🙌🙌
Can’t get enough of Melanie. She’s genuine, engaging, funny, charming, intelligent, and hot as a matchhead. I love her laugh, her voice, her enthusiasm. Probably the most compelling pop star interviewee I’ve ever seen.

Brilliant interview guys! Most interviewers from the US ask the same questions for the girls but you knew your research on their legacy and things most people don’t bother to ask. It felt like a friends chatting. Much respect to you two. I hope you guys get to interview her again and possibly dive into each album of hers and the creative process for them. What I remember the most from them when I was growing up was that they were their own individuals within the group and that they supported each other. Women can work together, we don't need to tear each other down to get somewhere.

@Coffee Addict the only difference between them is the music as it progressed through the years, their nationalities, race and number of girls in the group.
Here's why I see similarities:
- Spice 1996 -> Mel B & T-Boz are both basses of the group
- Geri & Mel B rapped, Left Eye rapped
- They were both loud and charismatic
- both groups had character names
Spice: Baby, Sporty, Ginger, Scary & Posh
TLC: Crazy, Sexy, Cool
- both were feminists in a way
- Both groups have irreplaceable members
- TLC was the 1st girl group to go Diamond and Spice Girls were the first girl group to rise to fame so high so quickly

I was at the Girls last Wembley date in 2019 and I can vouch for that ‘electric’ atmosphere. I’m very much a pop boy so I’ve seen lots of pop acts. But there was something so special about that night.

Melanie C manages to be so insightful (answering interesting questions too) even after countless Spice Girls related interviews, always a new point raised that just proves her self awareness.
I'm a new fan (April 2021 lol, their music helped me recover post-surgery) but I love how much interest there STILL is in the cultural AND musical phenomenon that is the Spice Girls. Wannabe was one of the most punk moments in pop BUT also widely embraced. Such a unique mixture in the perfect time.

@@pisceanbeauty2503 Thank you for the warm welcome, it’s so weird because I grew up on Rihanna, Shakira, Madonna, Britney, so I get to discover the Spice Girls as a new artist, it’s amazing how well their work still holds up and it’s not just a product of their time that faded. Their energy is unmatched.

People still debate whether they stole and capitalized on the idea of ‘Girl Power’, but you can see how genuine they are in interviews and now even after 25 years their message is still as relevant if not more.
