Hey I just applied to join your Content team on your website here is some ways I think this video could be packaged better, firstly Preston is such a large creator that his face is recognizable enough that putting it as your text feels redundant, another example of this is when colin and samir interview Mr.Beast they don't put his name in the thumbnail (some of them it is but not all). When crafting a thumbnail you want something big to stand out and be the first thing they see and then they go to the title so I would use the style of the Jedical interview of putting text behind a dark background and highlighting one word for example in this video would be Preston on the right and to the left and the words Being CEO SUCKS with sucks as the lower text highlighted this then draws attention to the title and I would change it to "How Minecraft Made Him $100,000,000 | Preston Playz Interview" the first part of that is 36 characters and on mobile about 45-50 characters show in the preview. Also from a design perspective I would darken the background a bit and just make the sm7b stand out as well as preston stand out because the orange outer glow on the light background I feel makes it almost look more tacky IMO and in general the background used in the Jedcal thumbnail I feel is better
Even though it is a podcast thumbnails and titles should still supplement one another in the proposed thumbnail there’s curiosity of negative emotion drawn from “Being CEO SUCKS” that is then connected to Preston which is then connected to a Positive title which then creates a interesting contrast and opens up curiosity loops closed in interview. Although he didn’t outright say that line he did talk on the hardships of being CEO and this packaging is all reaffirmed by the hook that teases that struggle and then that expectation is exceeded when he mentioned in the hook his early days of RUclips and why he started.
In terms of my experience I have an MMA Channel called ItskishMMA where I have videos with 100k views and my first channel that I still use is ItsKish an Anime channel I'm by no means an expert and I hope I didn't come across as offensive this is just what I personally would have done and think it could be approved upon. So never applied via RUclips comment but here we are
