    What wonderful advice! I have had ocd for years and have seen numerous therapists and never have they been able to break ocd down in this way. I've watched this video many times and every time I make a small step forward.

    As a Christian with OCD, I can wholeheartedly say that I am uncertain because I am not God. As a human, I will be uncertain of almost everything. I try to embrace that reality.

    This was an awesome presentation!! Surely life-changing!!! Therapists say to not do ur rituals but nobody explains as u have explained as to what to do to that thought or obsession that pops up....this was great... M certainly going to stick by what u've explained...I can't thank u enough !!!!!!

    This video was amazing. Thank you so much, Dr., for putting this in a Mental game form. I could so relate to the "Game" that OCD/anxiety plays on us. So easy to understand this way. These videos make such a difference.

    I love the way the therapist talks about it, it is the same ERP that I was so afraid of, but from a different perspective. It is easy though to talk about it, when you are not in that field game(((

    when i feel anxious i watch these videos and it makes me feel better and less anxious .so should i watch them or let myself remain in uncertainty??

    • @elenalockett7226
      @elenalockett7226 4 года назад +25

      Only watch them for educational purposes. Dont watch them as a way to relieve your anxiety because then at that point its serving as a compulsion. I used to watch videos to feel relief but that just perpetuates the cycle.

    • @chloe.9009
      @chloe.9009 3 года назад +2

      Yeh ur right. You know it's a compulsion when you keep doing that .In the moment it may help alleviate anxiety but after a while the anxiety comes back again and it becomes increasingly harder to recover from OCD.

    Guys, do u have any idea how to treat hocd? To be more precise, I'm not uncertain about whether I'm gay, but just "mostly straight". My problem is that it's virtually impossible to differentiate whether I have hocd or I am 99% straight and 1% homosexual. But if that's the case, how could I know for certain?

    • @MsMeAndMyCat
      @MsMeAndMyCat 9 месяцев назад

      The problem resides in the need of absolute certainty. How would your life change if you knew?

  • @darzphonegraves3705

    I don't trust you and therapy. I don't think you would have my best interest at heart.
