That swarm of ATGs every time you hit mithrix was so satisfying
When I played RoR2 for the first few days, Radar secured my first ever (I think) victory.
It was the difference between looting maybe half of the stage without the radar and looting absolutely everything on every stage with the radar.
Ehhh, radar sucks once you get better game knowledge and memorize all possible chest spots in all maps, then radar is just useful for finding camouflaged chests which you can also see using the tp soo it's a complete waste of a utility

@@onenbking9486 It actually takes a lot less than you think, im 100+ hours in and i've memorized most of them (still have some problems finding some in Sky Meadows and Abbysal plains tho)
@@Iranofideaswhilewritingthis334 Not in a bad way to invalidate you ate all but the fact that you still are having issues with it and youre WAYYY further in than i am just kinda proves what i was saying. Personally ive remembered sky meadows and rally point delta almost to a T but i cant remember any of the rest
@@Iranofideaswhilewritingthis334there aren’t dedicated chest locations tho. everything is randomly placed in the stage. hence why sometimes you can find a chest that will drop the item off the map and such.

yeah, in regards to multiplayer, i’m much more of a veteran than basically all my friends, so i just change my character depending on who they choose. if they play an on-hit character, i’ll play a big burst character. etc etc

Hey Race I had a question about Ignition tank. What is the scope of its buff? Does it buff anything with a fire effect, like bands or molotov?
Do you have tips fighting mithrix as merc? I spent 25 minutes just shooting slicing winds with the occasional dash because I didn’t know how else to get damage in
That's basically how you do it. Slicing winds and dash on cooldown until he dies.

I wonder if leach seed would be viable if it scaled with player level. Maybe 1 (+ 0.5 per stack) × player level health. I don't think I've seen my level go much over 40 and that was on a 6+ hour run. I'll often be around the early 20s when I fight Mythrix on a normal, no-loop run. You were level 25 in this vid. Say you had 3 of them, that'd be (2.5 × 25 =) 62.5 hp modified by your proc%. That's the equivalent of around 7% of your hp at a 1.0 proc% which is maybe a little high, considering the other green healing items and their conditions (like scythe). I'd love to see items that scale off player level, as a directly input number (as opposed to scaling off a base-stat, although they're level dependant anyway). Hell, some items that scale off enemy level but which aren't an ally summon item would be cool, too, though they'd need some heft drawbacks to be balanced.

Please play Bog's Deputy mod. He made the pathfinder mod you played before. Her R scales with attack speed like merc, or you can take the dash bonk to proc bands

14:30 I never really used lunars, so I don't know how they're run-savers (except transcendence ofc, nullifying 3 eclipse levels, making healing irrelevant, allowing for host skip without spaces) but other than that, what makes them so powerful?

i understand why race doesn't use lunars but for a good bit of the player base who aren't the best at the game (me included) they aren't free win items and a lot of the time the negatives outweigh the benefits( shaped glass for example)

Is there anything in the director that spawns a minimum amount of chests? It feels like stage one when I try and full loot there's only 3 items on the stage and the rest are like printers and combat shrines and it always feels bad when your run has a shaky start

Any tips on getting good/decent with railgunner on monsoon? I always seem to die on stage 4-5 (i usually run all alternate loadout except for concussion mines)
probably stop using the alt m2, it requires better understanding of building damage. I would say focusing on positioning is probably your highest priority, stop staying scoped in often, and keep your circling up

hmm, why do folks prefer focused assault to blinding assault? I find the extra mobility nice but TBF i havent used focused a lot since im only on E4 for Merc rn

Sheer curiosity: have you ever considered modding out Safer Spaces? I do believe you've said multiple times how strong of an item it is. (Question also applies for any other similar items)
personally i dont like messing with item mods for balance that much. that might change in the future who knows

Double rebar might not be the strongest, but its the easiest to play
If you use double nailgun power mode, you can boost yourself by releasing both nailguns at the same time while in power mode which can help a lot with mobility without needing to leave power mode
