Hey guys! I JUST posted my ranking of the Elden Ring eye alterations from worst to best! Check it out if you're interested in hearing my thoughts! Here's the link! - ruclips.net/video/re94fUEWX5k/видео.html Once again, thank you guys for all of the support on this video! It really means a lot!
Sadly not.. The blood eyes override the dragon eyes, and the frenzy eyes override both blood AND dragon. If you end up with the blood eyes, and want to go back to dragon, your best bet would be to either go to NG+ and get the dragon eyes back, or get the frenzy eyes in the playthrough you're in now, as they are pretty similar.
If you want to keep the dragon eyes, save your character in Fia’s mirror WHILE YOU HAVE THEM! When you decide to complete quests, make two different character saves so you can go back to the one with dragon eyes when you get cursed with blood or frenzy eyes.
Nooo i didn't save my character... and I just did Varre's queatline.. now I have red eyes, can I spend more dragon hearts to replace the red eyes back to dragon eyes? Or do I now need to wait for my NG+ journey?
@@Arminhammer Sadly.. the blood eyes override the dragon eyes, and the frenzy eyes override both blood AND dragon. I absolutely love how some magical forces physically alter your character the more you delve into them. I noticed the dragon eyes when I was playing a dragon and lightning centered character and just got Greyoll's Roar. I fell in love with Elden Ring's magic even more after that realization: I love magical influences having physical effects on those who tap into them.
@@anactualfingbottleofranch747 Indeed... While we do get the nice blue eyes we see with characters like Moongrum with proper customization, we sadly don't have true cosmic/glintstone eyes.
@@anactualfingbottleofranch747I think it's unnecessary because unlike glintstone magic, this 3 types are forbidden and evil... And tbh I think that classic eyes are better). It's mean that you are still you and some kind of cosmic powers hasn't corrupted your being
There’s just something about this video that really incapsulates that old “Minecraft guide” format that I watched when I was younger, and it’s really hitting the nostalgia nail on the head for me. I don’t even really watch these videos all that often, but this indescribable vibe that you’ve managed to create for me again has certainly earned you a subscriber. Excellent video, good sir.
I wore Radahn's helm for my first playthrough and caught a look of the dragon eyes when the camera got forced against the wall, I had no idea how i did it but it looked rad. Thanks for showing.
If you want a significantly faster way of getting the bloodsoaked cloth for the blood eyes, just use the portal at the Four Belfrey's for the Anticipation one (it's the starting area with the Scion fight). There's a dead maiden in the room where you spawn for the very first time. So much faster.
This is true! The way I went DID look a bit difficult, though, since I had very minimal amount of SOGs. This was a speedrun save, so I unfortunately didn't get the chance to have a decent spread of places to teleport closer with.
@@kinja9816 I believe killing Hyetta (the would-be finger maiden who eventually ends up near the Frenzy door) at any of the four points she spawns following the Godrick fight also counts. Same for Irina in the south, either after doing her quest since she always dies or by simply killing her yourself.
If anyone's wondering, you can get the Frenzied eyes at the Golden variant of the Capital too, from the Avenue Balcony grace; head down and jump of to the left, stick to the right and hop down a well
@@JustHANO I sure as hell hope so! Or else the frenzied flame will burn these lands. Also I think it’s possible to favorite your characters current cosmetic look so maybe you can save it for another character and such
God this game is so good. The attention to detail. I never noticed the eyes change for the blood and dragon paths. I thought it was only the frenzy. That's dope, appreciate the video!
I remember being pretty surprised seeing the Blood Eyes for the first time having no idea doing the quest would cause it. Would've been cool to actually lose our finger too since Varre rips it off.
I went around with a mask of some kind on my head for a good portion of the game before deciding to go more fashionable, so I didn't know for ages that my character had bloodshot eyes. Was a little confused about that at first, until I remembered I signed up with Varre's blood god cult to get early access to a really good rune farm, and put two and two together. Considering I'm now all in on Ranni's plans for the Lands Between instead, that's a bit awkward. Would have been cool to get some icy blue eyes or something for committing to the whole Dark Moon business.
Fun Facts! If you want to get in there in another playthrough but don't feel like dealing with Varre, there's a secret teleporter in the Consecrated Snowfield area fairly near the Yelough Anix Ruins that you can use (after defeating a Sanguine Noble invader nearby) to get into a little cave that spits you out at the Palace Approach Ledge Road SoG. If you were wondering why that was the "approach" site when you came from next to the Mausoleum because of Varre, it's actually because you're meant to get in via the teleporter. It's just so hidden you'll find Varre first usually.
Really wish after you unlocked them, they just became a setting in the character creation menu. That way you could just switch back to Dragon Eyes after you decided to do one or the other. I know you can always go back to your normal eyes, but I want my dragon eyes back.
Alternative for Bloody eyes: Left side of Raya Lucaria in Liurnia theres a place called "4 Great Bellfryes", teleporter named "Precipice of Anticipation" takes you to the tutoral area, where a dead maiden is found in the location you started the game in. You have to kill the tutorial boss for this one though.
I love how you're doing an eyes review at the entrance of the burning Erdtree. If there were influencers in the Lands Between, this would be their content
The entire vibe of this video was immaculate. The music especially. I have 1000 hours in the game and didn't realize that there was anything other than frenzy eyes. I honestly don't look at my character ever without a helmet lol so I learned something too. Great vid, subbed
Eye customization as of 1.0.4 has sclera customization. It's not got most of these special effects, but if you wanted different sclera and irises, it's possible to choose any two colors of the rainbow; the draconian starting scheme gives you dragon eyes immediately too.
I remember turning my camera around to look at my characters face, and their eyes were glowing in the dark. I thought this was odd and was wondering if I was just imagining things, so I walked up to a wall to get a closer look at their face. Lo and behold, they had dragon eyes! It scared the hell out of me, almost jumped out of my chair. I looked it up and figured out why, and I decided to keep them as I was using many dragon communion spells. I even altered my characters appearance so it looked more like the dragonkin preset, with the rough, poreless gray skin, gray hair with streaks of white going through it, and a deep crimson colored dragon communion symbol to match the sigil, right on their forehead.
I do have a couple but unfortunately I don't know how to share em on here besides leaving a link, but that won't work (it'll just get auto-deleted) if I get around to uploading a video to show my character off I'll leave another reply I guess lol.
At first I thought my glowing eyes were from having a great rune active, because that's when I first noticed them. Now I know they're from all the dragon hearts I've thrown into the fire! That's pretty cool, even if it does mean that I'm cursed to one day transform into a crawling magma wyrm.

bro i'm letting you know right now that first piano tune in the background goes dummy hard and is 90% the reason i'm liking and subbing. Great content tho :) keep it up!
For anyone wondering, there's actually a few areas you can go to to get the Lord of Blood's Favor, such as in the Church of Anticipation in the beginning of the game
Great video! Unlike most you actually show the path up where people need to go through the map and even had a funny little edit at the end. I always wondered why the heck my eyes turned yellow and now I know. Thanks a lot.
Tip: If you want the dragon eyes but too weak to fight 4 dragons, just kill the Elder Dragon Greyoll that's near Caelid, Fort Faroth, don't hit it in the head or wings. Hit it in the tail, doing that will make the dragon still be in it's slumber. I know it's a slow process killing it through it's tail, but you can use spells on it too, or spawn a jellyfish to poison the dragon too. Blood lost is recommended using when killing the dragon. After killing the dragon you'll be able to get 5 dragon hearts. And then go find the Cathedral of Dragon Communion, buy 4 dragon spells and there, you have the dragon eyes.
Additional notes on blood eyes: Varre won’t move to the Rose Church until after you’ve earned at least one great rune and been to see the two fingers in the round table hold. Also, you only need to do three invasions to continue his quest, not five.
I wish we could change the color of the dragon eyes. Would love to see them as sapphire, sky blue, a deep red, green or forest green. The gold is nice but it would've been awesome to have the option of changing the color of them. That would have made for some great customization. I wonder if there are more eye changes to be found or if this is all they made so far.
Edit 2: I WAS WRONG. ng+ with pretty eyes, they're still pretty unfortunatly after the Fia fiasco, I'd prolly just played around with the eye settings, clouding and such. MY BAD. At least i cleared it up myself.. Original post: I might've just imagined this, but I'm quite sure Fias questline gives dull dead eyes, at least that's seems to be the case on my character. They changed, and i had done the fingerhug before delving down rootcity. Gonna check once I get the possibilty. Edit: Just realized I'm an idiot, could've just edited this comment instead of replying to myself. Somehow that didn't strike me as a possibility. Oh well, updates down below, still don't know for sure other than i misremembered getting madboi eyes first, since it seems they won't be overridden.
Yeah forgot, ng+, changed eyes before going into ng+, and the "hide funky eyes" feature ain't showing at Fias mirror. Well got another character close to sliding down them roots, guess I'll get my confirmation then.
Update: got at least one thing wrong, it seems like lord of frenzy eyes can't be overridden, did Varres questline after aquiring them, and i did not get five in the morning after a rough night out eyes. Likewise, with the Fia questline, I still have them yellow orbs, so there's that. Either I've been wrong or it's the same case as them bloody ones. It'll prolly be some time till i can check this out, in ng+ that is, so if anyone with unsullied eyes would like to check if I'm a moron or not, that would be much appreciated. Edit: a few spelling errors
Warning ⚠️: Only do the Frenzied eyes if you want the second ending where you bring chaos to the world, instead of being The Elden Lord. You can undo the Frenzied eyes by getting Millicents needle (⚠️Do not give the needle back to Millicent after the guy fixes the needle) and going to the Dragon Lord’s battle ground to use the needle in your inventory. You don’t need to fight the Dragon Lord. This will then break the Frenzied eye curse.
The blood eyes override the dragon eyes, and the frenzy eyes override both blood AND dragon. If you end up with the blood eyes, and want to get the dragon ones, your best bet would be to either go to NG+ and get the dragon eyes, or get the frenzy eyes in the playthrough you're in now, as they are pretty similar. I definitely think Frenzy looks the best! The blood eyes just make you look stoned in my opinion, lol.
Should also note there’s another way to get the blood eyes. You can get maidens blood from the location where you fought the first boss. The grafted scion. Just search up how to get back to the grafted scion. There’s a teleporter. Forgot where.
For any one who doesn't know. When interacting with the Three Fingers, you'll get locked into the bad ending of the game. There is only one way to reverse it and it is kind of tedious. So if you want a different ending first, wait until Ng+ to get the "Frenzied eyes"
The amount of hoops they make you jump through to get the blood eyes kept me up so late for so often, that it not only gave my character blood eyes... but me as well!
@@InfectedDurian none at all sadly, at the time I didn’t think there wasn’t anything special about it. Something worth looking into then. From the point I when I put the ring on Ranni’s finger and went to round table hold, I saw that my eyes were gold, I know it couldn’t have been the dragon eyes since I never partook in dragon communion on my first play through.
I know where the cathedral of the dragon communion is, but for giving actually useful directions I'm giving you a like. You're like the first content creator in a while to properly elucidate geographical data.

I somehow ended up with some sort of special blue eye scheme without knowing how or why, and I have yet to kill any shardbearers on the save so I dont know what would have caused it.
Really cool of you to make a video out of this! Just to clarify though, you actually only need to use 3 out of the 5 fingers that Varre gives you to proceed the questline
The thing I love about Elden Ring is that even after I beat the game after 200+ hours, not only are there still areas I have not been to, but they are large AND numerous. My first playthrough I couldn't find the prawn man, nor the subterranean shunning grounds. I never found Lansseax after she dipped on me when I started kicking her ass. I never found SEVERAL bosses that weren't essential to the endgame, including your astutely-named "Mohg the Lame."
and there's another faster way to get the lord of blood's favor, though it involves killing that boss that's supposed to kill you at the start of the game
Thanks you for the guide bro! Really appreciate it. Let me ask you something. If I already have the dragons eyes, and wanted to get the blood ones, if I get those, is there a way to go back to the dragon eyes?
Of course, my friend! Thank you very much for watching! It sucks that we can't switch between all of them after getting them!

Very good and helpful video bro, keep up the good work! (That music tho gave me major headache, especially the first 2 minutes of the vid)
Thank you so much, man!
(And noted)
@@InfectedDurian Much appreciated 🙏
Look at that subtle-off yellow coloring, the tasteful roundness of it. Oh my god! It even glows in the dark!
I had a eye patch that covered both eyes, and in fia’s room, changing cosmetics. I just suddenly had dragons eyes
I bet THAT was surprising, lol.
@@InfectedDurian I was so confused
I gotta say, your choice in background music is why i subscribed AND liked
A person of culture, I see! Thank you so much!
Even though I already discovered all of these eyes effects, I still finished your video without skipping. Because? Awesome choice of music!! Love it.
I agree!
I feel something like this could come in the near future, but I'm gonna try to keep my expectations low for now, lol.
Could be cool if it depended on the last dragon you used or the one you use the most.
I think you get solid gold eyes if you wear full set Goodrich knight armour
@@night1952 That's a super dope idea!
@@0sutherland028 I checked, and I don't think it works. Maybe you just have dragon/frenzy eyes!
Edit 2: I WAS WRONG. ng+ with pretty eyes, they're still pretty unfortunatly after the Fia fiasco, I'd prolly just played around with the eye settings, clouding and such. MY BAD.
At least i cleared it up myself..
Original post:
I might've just imagined this, but I'm quite sure Fias questline gives dull dead eyes, at least that's seems to be the case on my character.
@@RatsAndLiqour Frezy Eyes override all others.
@@ShiningDarknes True that. Found that out aswell, it's in the comment above :).
amazing editing at the end! hilarious!
Thank you so much!
Wow, Ethan. Great moves, keep it up proud of you
Best part of this is the music - would be interesting playing the game with this soundtrack.
So true, lol.
@@InfectedDurian WHATS THE NAME PORRAA
Dude that editing at the end was great, good job
You are too kind.. thank you very much!!
@@InfectedDurian no you are too kind for this amazing stuff, thank you
Warning ⚠️: Only do the Frenzied eyes if you want the second ending where you bring chaos to the world, instead of being The Elden Lord.
Pretty sure I got blood eyes had no idea how. Gotta say I liked the look of the frenzy eyes and didn't even know dragons eyes were a thing
@@InfectedDurian agreed I had the frenzy but got rid of them earlier so I won't get the frenzy ending and went back to the bloody sadly
@@piercebattle9454 Does using the needle reverse the eyes??
@@InfectedDurian the frenzied yes

damn, the ragtime music extended my attention span by miles XD
great vid!
I'm glad, thank you so much!!
Should also note there’s another way to get the blood eyes. You can get maidens blood from the location where you fought the first boss. The grafted scion. Just search up how to get back to the grafted scion. There’s a teleporter. Forgot where.
This is true! Thank you for helping people out with another way!
The four belfries
For any one who doesn't know.
When interacting with the Three Fingers, you'll get locked into the bad ending of the game. There is only one way to reverse it and it is kind of tedious.
So if you want a different ending first, wait until Ng+ to get the "Frenzied eyes"
Why's it a bad ending ?
@@valenwood6299 Because you burn everything to the ground.
@@valenwood6299 You'll burn everything to ash once taking the elden throne.
Nice tips!
@@vaclavsoukup7302 That's not bad, you're incinerating everything that divides and distinguishes. No more pain.
Dragon eyes look like Sheogorath's eyes in Oblivion
Very true!!
The "you haven't skipped this bit" was so rewarding
The amount of hoops they make you jump through to get the blood eyes kept me up so late for so often, that it not only gave my character blood eyes... but me as well!
whats the name of the song that starts playing at 3:18 ?
I'll let you know!
@@InfectedDurian thanks in advance
I guess we’ll never know
I noticed my character went from blind to having eyes lmao
LOL, too funny, Mr. Cube.
Say hi to Lil Skies for me!
Think you’re missing golden eyes, I’m not sure how I got it but I think when I finished Ranni’s quest line, I noticed my eyes were gold.
Do you have any proof??
@@InfectedDurian none at all sadly, at the time I didn’t think there wasn’t anything special about it. Something worth looking into then.
From the point I when I put the ring on Ranni’s finger and went to round table hold, I saw that my eyes were gold, I know it couldn’t have been the dragon eyes since I never partook in dragon communion on my first play through.
@@llthedivinell1705 you sure it's not frenzy eyes then, if not dragon? They are both yellow and glowing.
@@soleo2783 positive, I looked closely. I did not have that dragon like retina when I checked.
I know where the cathedral of the dragon communion is, but for giving actually useful directions I'm giving you a like. You're like the first content creator in a while to properly elucidate geographical data.

frenzy flame is indeed the coolest out of the 3.
It should be noted that this locks you out of certain endings unless you follow Millicent's questline.

@@TheWaluigiman1 nope
for Varre's quest you only actually need to invade 3 times :)
Thank you for the correction!!
I still cant get over just how massive this game truly is
Good thing the Update 1.06 added an NPC to skip invasions for Varre's quest. This was one of the most entertaining guides I've seen in ages.
I somehow ended up with some sort of special blue eye scheme without knowing how or why, and I have yet to kill any shardbearers on the save so I dont know what would have caused it.
Any images?? I'd love to see it!
Blue eyes??
@@InfectedDurian I think it's doing Ranni's quest
Really cool of you to make a video out of this! Just to clarify though, you actually only need to use 3 out of the 5 fingers that Varre gives you to proceed the questline
Thank you for the compliments, as well as the correction!
I was wondering where I got pink eye from. I didn't know Varre gave it to me.
Yup, he sharted on your pillow.
I did not skip through that bit, thank you very much.
No, thank YOU.
I never found SEVERAL bosses that weren't essential to the endgame, including your astutely-named "Mohg the Lame."
for the invasion one, you only NEED to invade THREE times, you do NOT need to use all 5 to progress his quest
and there's another faster way to get the lord of blood's favor, though it involves killing that boss that's supposed to kill you at the start of the game
Thank you for the tips!!
@@InfectedDurian no problem ^~^
Thanks you for the guide bro! Really appreciate it.
Let me ask you something. If I already have the dragons eyes, and wanted to get the blood ones, if I get those, is there a way to go back to the dragon eyes?
Of course, my friend! Thank you very much for watching!
It sucks that we can't switch between all of them after getting them!
@@InfectedDurian Yeah, I would have jus preferred my default eyes... I really put a lot of effort into character creation, only to now have blood eyes, since I did Varres questline (I am not even into PVP, I just want to get as much done on my first playthrough as possible), and now I am stuck with them, since I can probably not even get the Dragon Eyes anymore (I did not bothered with Communing to the Dragon covenant yet, since I actually knew that would change my eyes due to spoilers from a friend, but now it seems I can't even get those) And it seems like that if I want to get everything I can on my first playthrough, I have to get the frenzied Eyes... *Sigh* looks like I have to get a nince helmet that covers my eyes soon =/
@@NeroDeAngelo If you go to the mirror in the Roundtable Hold you can disable eye alterations entirely at any time to have your default eyes again.
@@Alenara12349 THANK YOU! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I haven't noticed this! This makes my day, thank you =D
@@NeroDeAngelo Yup, they were 100% spot on! You can always switch between the current set attached to your character, but once you go to NG+, your eyes will be 100% normal again, and you'll have to get the eyes once again.

I think it's worth noting that you can get a different variant on the frenzy flame eyes by completing Millicent's questline and using Miquella's needle in Crumbling Farum Azula
Is there any proof of this??
No the needle removes the eyes but not the burn marks.
The needle is for pussying out of the frenzy flame ending.
