Wow, this was an impressive tutorial for an impressive result. I can already see the creative possibilities with that effect. Thank you, this has won you a new subscriber.
This was a much better method than one I had seen earlier. One thing I had to do is I found when I brought my rendered alpha back in it was a different resolution. Fixed it in one step with a resize node. Thanks for the great tutorial!
Amazing! First video I find showing how to do it properly. I have a question though. You said it is possible to go into Fusion without rendering the clip first. How do we do that?
A merge node has 3 different inputs, a background arrow (yellow), a foreground (grean), and an effect nide (blue). The fastnoise was connected to the effect input. It only has effect on the foreground, in this case the dancer with the glow.
Great video.... Is it possible to use this same process to make it appear as though the same effect is surrounding the subject? What would be the added step?
Not sure what you mean! I mean… you can apply glow to different objects in resolve, different shapes etc. so you could try to draw a shape on the clip, animate it etc.
What I mean is instead of the effect being applied to the outline of the person, could the same effect be used to make it seem as if the person is glowing as a whole. Making it look like they have an energy field surrounding their entire body.
why did you connect fastnoise to alpha of merge is it because you connect the masked clip to alpha. why we connect to alpha. please answer if you have time
That looks amazing. What would it take to add an electrical effect to this as well? Also, is there any chance of doing the free version of the program? Just too show why it’s worth getting the studio version of the program.
This is very impressive. I love your videos and been learning a lot from you. I hope Black Magic is endorsing you. I have a quick question. Why am I missing my background and seeing a png clip when did all in the video? I did all as shown in your video but my end result is showing the person with the glow but the background is not there. I also didn't see my original clip in the viewer when I opened the fusion page.

Hey! You have to add the alpha output in the node editor! Check out my newest tutorial l, at the end I show the magic mask tool.
absolutly brilliant!!! Very cool effect! Thank you very much!
Many thanks!!
It is interesting effect. Thank you!
Thank you too!
Super
Thank you!
so cool!
Thanks!
Excellent and what a great effect!
Many thanks!
Very nice! Why did FastNoise stick to outline of the dancer. It was handled differently than SoftGlow?

since 18.1 you can do magic mask in the fusion page, so you dont have to do the export import anymore
Amazing! thanks!
Thank you too!
najbardziej podobają mi się pierwsze 4 sekundy tego filmu :)
Lol, that’s fine, I need a decent view count
this is like nen from hxh. The nen aura. If you know you know

You can play with the glow to make it look more electrical or you can use some plugins!

świetny kanał
Thanks so much!
You're such a badass
Thanks Billy! Trying
awesome effect! I usually shoot in front of a green screen, so the magic mask absence isn`t a problem for me🙃
Thanks for the feedback!
Do you do voice work, by the way?
What do you mean?
@@colorgradinginsights like voice acting or narration. That type of thing
No but I wish😂😂😂 just singing a bit - coming soon😉
Cool
Thanks for the visit!
Merci !
You’re welcome!
which graphic card and cpu do u have?/
I use a few different computers actually but this one is a new MacBook Pro with M1
Which specs on m1 pro do u have and how are you satisfied with it???
Dobra robota!
Pozdrawiam :)
Dzięki!
Great work... but it takes a lot of time... You can use the magic mask right on the fusion page
Yes, you are right
You did not have to export your original clip with the alpha channel, all you have to do is render in place.
