The WNBA refs continue to make bad calls, nothing has changed, it’s no wonder the coaches get frustrated!!
They have too. If they don't they'll be blowing those whistles all game. For some reason it has been this way for years with the wnba. The women just refuse to follow the rules of basketball and make illegal actions on the court majority of the game.

Sorry everyone; but this is a totally LEGAL dribble. She got the ball; went into the air and did nothing but put the ball into the air....which landed on the floor (i.e. a dribble); picked it up (legal; as the dribble has now ended) and shot the ball. Looks totally strange and everyone goes crazy (especially the coach)....but, again, this is LEGAL. After forty years as an official; I see this about once a year; and if the referee calls it a travel; then they blew the call! Sorry; but this is the RULE.
It’s not legal because she came off of both feet while in a shooting motion that’s definitely illegal
@@allisoneverhart9269 Hi, I know it looks to be a travel (what the announcers said was "up and down"....but it really was "legal" in that the player while either jumping into the air and releasing the ball to the floor....OR in this case jumping with both feet into the air in an apparent shot....and dropping the ball (before landing) to the floor. In reality it is just a dribble!
It looks strange; and it is. However; it is NOT an illegal move....just a ball being thrown down to complete a dribble. If I have a ball and just jump into the air and come down with the ball onto the floor.........it is a travel. Thanks!

Looks like Sabrina's right toe stayed on the floor. Either way it's an easy thing for a ref to miss.
A closer look showed it lifting. Still it's an easy call to miss. and the game was basically over.

@@kashhh2 - My monitor isn't large enough to tell for sure. Still. refs cant watch everything. They miss infractions every game. So do Coaches and players and they complain only when it's done by the opposition, never when it's them.
