I sold it and bought it back from the buyer. The only 2 cons are that she’s thick and getting extra OEM magazines is impossible. Other than that it is a great gun. Reliable, great shooting and not overpriced.
Canik does make superior handguns. My first one was the TP9 DA, it amazed me the smoothness of the trigger pull and accuracy. Then I moved up to the TP9 SF, and this one was a step above. Impressed with the quality of the SF, my next one was the METE SFT, which blew my mind, this one is of the best handguns to carry. So, very pleased with the SFT, I also got me the METE SFX, a super accurate full-size pistol ("Don't have a rifle? Get a METE SFX" 😉). And my latest acquisition is, the SFX Rival Darkside, the most accurate pistol with the best trigger you can get for less than half the price of the "big names." All of the Canik models are characterized by having the smoothest trigger pulls for a striker-fired handgun, second to none. Evidently, I became a Canik-fanatik 😎
As I recal, Canik or a previous incarnation of them was a licenced Walther OEM. They used to market pistols that were an almost exact P99, inluding the de-cocker and cocked striker indicator - still present on some of their guns. I still have a Walther P99 AS so this is an old story. Canik is known for decnt reliability, construction and a good trigger. Their Elite series has become generally well regarded in the shooting community.
Thank god its just your opinion you gun guys on RUclips are something else yes pistol company's copy functions they all do and remember there are other gun manufacturers trying to get in the us market that's why a lot of these guns are priced low doesn't mean bad quality just a good price
I am just curious about your tone from the beginning (although I shouldnt be shocked after reading the title), but you sounded pedantic and snobby, from the beginning. Some if us cannot buy a Mercedes or a new Hyundai, but we can buy a gun for what it is. This gun is awesome! Shoots very well, recoil is very manageable, reliable, feels great in the hand. Came up with the OP slide before many others. You cannot beat the price and all the accessories are great, even the holster is very acceptable, unless you want something a little more comfortable. The only downside is that it is thick and that is why some of us look for something else, especially for the warmer days.
Have the whiteout! Liked it so much bought another in camouflage so I dont shoot it! I like canik and they are the only 9mm I have! Not my caliber but these are quite nice in my opinion!
The sc is a great gun. I have the tp9sf elite and I really have enjoyed carrying and practicing with it. I was going to purchase the sc but after placing the tp9sf elite next to the sc I found that there's not enough size difference to pay another $400 for it. If I didn't already have the tp9sf elite I would definitely purchase the sc.
You forgot the fact it has a barrel through which a bullet travels. This feature is similar if not the same as some or all pistols out there so this is definitely a copy cat. Also its requires less dollars in order to own one therefore it must be cheap and low quality rendering it nothing else then a pig. This review is the dumbest I have seen in a while.

Huh, it has all the same features as every other polymer, striker fired handgun. Let's criticize them for "copying" the best features of other handguns. LOL The word Tool comes to mind... LOL
I looked at this pistol and id has a lot of things I value in a CCW - 3.6" barrel, 12+1 or 15+1 magazine choices. As a Walther owner there are some features I like. The main downside is that it's a bit thick for a CCW. My Sig P365XL checks the first two boxes except for the flared magwell it's only an inch wide. Granted it cost more, but IMO, CCW's are not where you penny-pinch. That Canik has a decent reputation. Perhaps the problem, if one exists, is there's a lot of inexpensive weapons coming out of Turkey. Thats exactly why we need reviews on them to help separate the wheat from the chaff - as the saying goes. Seems like there's a ton of bargain shotguns coming from Turkey - mainly AR and AK-like autoloaders. There's also an interesting Benelli M4 'ish looking shotgun. That one peaks my inrerest if it works reliably. I love the 'M4 but at nearly 2K it's firmly in the someday - 'maybe' category.

At a minimum, I feel you need to work on your approach. I have the 1st gen tp9sa with no lipstick, no it is far from being a pig! No it is not the only brand pistol I have, or have had. I prefer Toyota over any other foreign made vehicle. The Japanese just know how to build a reliable car or truck. I like firearms made in Turkey and Germany because they also know how to make a quality product.

@Life with Rob Canik is ok, I just think other guns for the same price are better and don't jam. I shoot Caniks accurately. I have a few Walther's and everything about them is excellent. Canik knows how good they are that's why they try to copy them. Caniks ergos aren't even close to Walther's.
Your review is pretty immature. The Canik TP9 Elite SC should be evaluated on its performance and features. Not on whether is costs a lot of money. Incidentally, if the Canik was made in the USA, it would cost double or more. Incidentally, the Mercedes is a "Veblem" good. You pay a high price for exclusivity - not everyone can have one. Apart from some of their earlier diesel models, Mercedes are maintenance items. The Hyundai with all the bells and whistles is a much batter car. It is just that nobody aspires to own one. Bid deal..
They used be good buys $200-300. Their prices have gone up past cz money guns, ain't worth it. And their customer service is beyond Turkish garbage and good luck getting spare mags, more rare than mini 14 mags.

The screws provided in the box with the allen wrench are for the optic attachments like the Shield S2M2 red dot.
