There are a few points I wanted to make here that many have commented.
First, Ari is her pet bird that does exactly like the Pokédex entry states. Which is why it was very easy for her to pick that name for Taillow.
Next, she streams her runs. So not every capture is shown here. When she gets a rare encounter, it doesn't necessarily mean that it was the first one, just the other encounters were caught already. I think her dupes clause is for the exact same Pokémon instead of in the same evolution line (which is why she got a Whooper and Quagsire).
In the Platinum ending, it showed her Pokémon getting beat by the Rhyperior. This was due to her bad luck at getting a bunch of crits and the remaining Pokémon would have been wiped out by the next elite member. When she was streaming the game, it was her birthday. As such, the chat decided that she could do a retry of the elite four run, which ended up with her doing an AU ending and talking about the guilt of winning it the second time.
For animation purpose she also has to prioritize was she shows, these videos take 2 weeks to a month to make so she can’t show everything. So highlights and fun moments are what she focuses on. For the sanity of her team and her.
Dupe clause works only if you contain the pokemon that you previously capture so she didnt use opps until quag sire died because of the dupes clause it wasnt an evolution thing in the clause it was the fact she accidently caught two probably in a double battle
@@ariaglobesolutions I feel like she was trying to run from the wooper in the great marsh, but since the options are "BALL-BAIT-ROCK-RUN" instead of the usual "FIGHT-BAG-PKMN-RUN in the great marsh, she might have subconciously thought of fighting the wooper for exp without knowing that she won't have her pkmn out in the GM.
This caused her to click the "BALL" option instead of the "FIGHT" option and the safari ball actually captures the wooper.
And since she didn't consider catching another mon from the same area since it would technically be cheating, she chose to keep that wooper.
If it was me, I would have released that wooper and re-rolled for another encounter in the GM.
Some Jaiden lore:
-Ari is one of her real birds, so that bird being sassy like hers, easy naming and very silly.
-Jaiden doesn’t cheat. Ever. She is a rule appreciator. She has to prioritize what she shows in her animation because these videos take a long time to make. She her sanity and the sanity of her team she has to make choices as to what makes the Final Cut.
-The animation in the distortion realm where she was split in two was to represent that she actually did not win the Nuzlocke on her first run through. She live streamed in and in the elite four for super unlucky with multiple crits in a row killing the team members that had any chance against fire leaving her defenseless for Flint. Because of the super lucky RNG and her loss being no fault of her own chat convinced her to restart the elite four to see if she could win. And she did. It was also her birthday so people were feeling like this was just super unfair. She did not do so lightly. So it was a tough win to accept. But she and us in the community wanted to see if she could do it.

I don’t know why you immediately jumped to the idea of cheating.
Mawile has a 10% spawn chance in Granite Cave in Ruby Version. It’s unlikely because of all the other Pokémon that are in caves but it’s not impossible.

Before they got the fairy typing they were pretty much useless. Not that they're far beyond that without being Mega
Not to mention she clearly didn't even LIKE Mawile or want it. Why would you chat for a pokemon you don't even want?
Bulbapedia says 20% with a level range of 10-12 (Correction: This is on B2F, while B1F is 10%, so, you're right.). Aron has a 40% with a range of 10-12 as well.
So it's very possible she just used repels and had a Lv. (11?)12 in first slot, I think.
I think if it was an Lv. 11 she would have also had to deal with the 30% zubat encounters though, so who knows.
Small fact that most people neglect in Pokémon: every Pokémon has an Effort Value (EV) yield. Marill gives 2 HP EVs, so Jaiden unintentionally EV trained ZipZipZop for HP.

During one of my Nuzlocks, I had a shiny Absol as a first encounter on a route where Absol has the lowest encounter rate. It was actually the first shiny Pokémon I can remember catching since I started playing Pokémon with Yellow (Red Garados aside). I never ended up using it though since my party was already well-balanced at that point...
I played Ultra Moon a few months ago and got the 5% Pichu... Which was Not Great, because it dupes-clause'd me out of the Surfing Pikachu, AND Static didn't even get me a Magnemite.
She sniffed Squidward because it's literally a refrence to early Spongebob. He sniffs a letter and knows its from Squidward
As Jaiden goes to fight the Platinum E4: I wonder if Sidur thinks Togekiss is fairy in this game…

Jaiden/Jacob’s final fight against Jan: Okay, he also has no idea how counter works, as it literally counters the enemies attack; like it literally takes the damage done to it by a physical move and hits back (I think) somewhere close to twice as much damage, type effectiveness isn’t even a factor.
Chad was not killed by poison, Blizzard is what was said.
Jaiden gets more crap for that Shinx than for resetting her wipe. 🤣
counter does double the damage that the other mon took and hitmontop got damaged into red hp so thats a garanteed death edit: metal burst has the same effect as counter does double damage it takes and bastiodon's defenses is insane so yea
Counter is a reduced priority move that deals double the damage taken if the user is hit with a physical attack the turn it is used, metal burst is similar at 1.5x any damage taken (physical or special) with no reduced priority.
I really hope you did your research and found out what the Ari reference was and also what was going on with the split timeline thing. It adds a lot to the videos to know the Jaiden lore behind them.
Yeah i also think he dont really do research, and just judge with all his bias , like all his reaction video, thats pretty sad because i love his persona and energy.
There isn't *actually* a rule about not using Legendaries in Nuzlockes, that's just a very common self imposed rule. Literally the ONLY two rules that came from the original comic that created Nuzlockes was 'catch the first pokemon on every route' and 'if it faints it's dead' (I literally just checked). That's it. So technically there's nothing stopping someone from using a Legendary, aside from trying to make the game harder.
I don't think it's that she doesn't like Shinx, it's that she failed the early one, THEN got one instead of the Shellos she wanted later. So she was just, annoyed and frustrated with it. If she HAD gotten Shinx in her first encounter she could have gotten Shellos at the Windworks. Which is what seems to have annoyed her.
Hidden Abilities didn't exist in gen 4 sir lol the Gyarados couldn't have had Moxie (and even if HAs DID exist in gen 4, Moxie did not), both were introduced in gen 5. Likewise, Fairy wasn't a thing till gen 6.
So, they couldn't get Kyogre on the team b/c of the 'no overlapping types. Empoleon's primary type is water, so if they're wanted the Kyogre pair they would have had to box the Empoleon pair, which they evidently did not want to do.
Metal Burst and Counter killed for the same reason, reflecting damage back at you. Counter deal 2x the damage they took from a physical attack (and that Hitmontop was nearly dead) and Metal Burst deals 1.5 the damage it took. So they dealt the opponent massive damage, and then took that plus some in return.
8:54 Fun Fact: Norman (the Fifth gym leader) has only 1 slaking in Pokemon Emerald compared to his 2 slakings in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire and in Emerald he replaces one of his slakings for a vigiroth (prevolution of slaking) and honestly i am glad they only gave him 1 slaking in Pokemon Emerald to make his battle less painful.
Trade evolutions are pretty hard to do in a nuzlocke, y'know, which both Machamp and Steelix are.
Ari is jaiden's real life bird. When ZipZapZop Survived in the 6th gym The reason is because marills give ev's for HP.

There are a few variations of Nuzlockes.
The core Nuzlocke, which Jaden is doing, is pretty easy. I personally ended my first Nuzlocke (Pokémon Shield) with only three deaths (all against Leon's Charizard) and a lot of spare Pokémon in the boxes (which, from what I've heard, is a pretty good first result).
Then, there are the second most common type of Nuzlockes, the Hardcore Nuzlockes. There, you can't use items in battle, you have to change the battle style to "set" and you can't level your Pokémon past the highest level of the next big battle (Gym leader, villain (boss and admin) or Champ though some add Rival fights and Elite 4 members to the mix). This type of Nuzlocke is usually done by Pro Nuzlockers as well as Pokémon RUclipsrs who do "Can you beat ... only using ..." like Chaotic Meatball.
And then there are other extra rules you can add to both normal and Hardcore Nuzlockes. Those include the Namelocke where you choose a franchise e.g. "DC" and can only catch Pokémon that fit to characters for that series (in the case of "DC" it would be Bat-Pokémon for Batman, Bird-Pokémon for his Robins or Water-Pokémon for Aquaman etc.), the Giftlocke where you can only use Pokémon given to you by an NPC in-game for free or the Typelocke where you can only use Pokémon of a certain type, just to name a few.
Personally, I'm quite fond of the Namelocke and the Giftlocke which I've been doing for every game since Scarlet and Violet (where btw, you can only get three Gift Pokémon, with only your starter being available until you finish all classes at the Academy).
Lastly, there are of course also the Soul Links which you can do with as many people as you have friends. Though of course, more people means a higher chance of death. You can do them on your own, too, by linking every two Pokémon you catch, but then you have to keep track of who is linked to whom.

Legendaries are optional, but they do make the challenges much easier. Also, the no item rules are part of the "hardcore" rule set.
Yeah, a lot of them you wouldn't be able to get without repels due to them being in caves or places with other wild encounters. But it is possible for a legendary to be your first encounter in an area, and provided you can catch it, it's fair game if you wanna use it.

Technically another rule is the duplicate rule if you catch a Pokémon that’s the same evolution line as a Pokémon you already got you are aloud to catch another pokemon

obviously she was upset with getting a Shinx because she wanted one of her favourite Pokémon and that is the only route u can catch them on so she was disappointed, although she could of used the dupes clause to reroll that encounter since she had already failed to catch a Shinx but then u would also risk running into another Pokémon that isn't Shellos that u couldn't do that for that would be inferior to Shinx so yea.
Edit: i forgot u can get them on 2 routes but that doesn't change much.
Dupes wouldn't have counted b/c dupes is only for pokemon you've CAUGHT, and she didn't catch a Shinx earlier, she knocked it out. So no, she couldn't reroll it.
that depends, dupes can be for encountered Pokémon or caught depending on who is using the rule, it's not a fixed rule like the nicknaming and only 1 Pokémon encounter per route rule.@@SpiderRiderKya

45/45 Fairy types don’t exist until Gen 6 so Togekiss would be Fairy in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl but this is Platinum back in Gen 4 we’re it is just Flying/Normal type.

tbh i think the whole "dont use levendaries" isnt a required rule for nuzlockes. most people just dont like using legendaries if able because of how strong they are.
