@@MechaGaikotsu Jeez, those hips pop off so easily, I alredy lost mine (along with the the V fin), so I'm just not gonna touch it now...don't want it to fall any more apart than it already is

I really enjoyed build the Astray as one of my second MG after the Dynamos. The only problem I had was, when the joint where the the leg connects to the hip snapped T_T. Looked for a replacement part. I was able to find someone doing metal modes for that specific joint on Ebay. I guess its a common break. If you like to pose you gunpla just be careful with the Astray.
Also to note, the runners include the parts to make the blue frame's tactical arms as well, so you have the choice of the gun barrels and normal handle if you so desire.
There's another feature in the Tactical Arms not mentioned in the instructions. If you pull the big blade parts off (carefully, don't break anything), they have a flip-out peg and handle at the bottom. The peg fits in the back of the forearm, and the handle will fit perfectly in the hand, making big tonfa/katar weapons. The runners also had a pair of leftover knives from the Blue Frame. Because this thing needed more blades, of course.
This was my first MG kit, after watching many of your reviews on other versions of the Red Frame Astrays, so thank you! Happy you got around to a review on it
You can actually attach the Tactical Arms' blades onto the forearms of the ARF, just like how it's done with the ABF Second Revise's Sword Arm mode (minus the pink beam blade effect part, that is).
All the parts to make the blue frames tactical arms come with the red frame kai so you can make it. Also if you detach the two blade sections of the tactical arms there is a flip out peg at the end so you can mount the blades directly onto the red frames arms, this was a feature of the blue frame and it came with beam effect parts for it

what's with new builders and spending ungodly amounts of time on their first mg? I spent a whole day building my Qant as well, to the point of forgetting to eat lunch. Never doing that again though, I felt like shit afterwards.
It actually comes with armor schneiders I think because there are two lil daggers on the feet runners with the feet of the blue frame D aswell as the mini gun section as well as the sword handle for the tactical arms
Did a review of this kit i think a year ago, but yours just blows mine out of the water. You really have a really good style of reviewing, mecha! Love your review :)
I actually got this for my birthday a few days ago and I've finished everything just a few minutes after this comment and I'm happy with out it turned out, with this guy being my first MG it was quite the build. I'm still curious about the extra parts that were left and would love a step by step guide on what to do with them if anyone has it.
I just finished building this kit and I say the true main event of this kit is that tactical arms. Feels like the Gundam itself is the accessory. It just looks so intimidating on its own.
