What black do you recommend for tongues/sockliners? I've used Angelus with 2soft and it comes out pretty dull and almost grey, best results I've gotten are with Jacquard textiles black but even that still isn't very dark.
I’ve had good experiences with the angelus black.. one thing that could have happened is mixing in too much of the fabric medium and really diluting the potency, but even with multiple coats it should have gotten pretty dark for you
How would I get black mesh to a slightly lighter color like laker purple? Would I need to lay down a couple coats of white along with some too thin to serve as a primer or base?
Black mesh or fabric is a nightmare to work with if you’re trying to go lighter but yeah you would absolutely need some base coats (light grey/mist) never white first

I had an issue last time i painted the sockliner, I used 50/50 of black and 2 soft, used paint brush, and I applied maybe 4 or 5 layers, let it dry for 24h but when I wear them black stained on my socks, have you ever had this problem before? Do you have some ideas why it happened? I'm afraid to paint the sock liners now especially if it's for someone else...
Totally depend on the design and then certain colors are harder to paint than others, I estimate if you were to just paint the upper one solid color it would take about 1.5 oz

Hey bud we appreciate you. I never recommend paint pens as theyre not meant to hold up on shoes in my opinion, I only recommend Angelus paint for true durability!
Do you need to use 2 thin along with 2 soft when airbrushing sock liner? I found that 2 soft already seems to thin out the paint a little bit but not sure if it does enough, Thoughts? Big fan keep it up ! 🔥
Any tips on what to do about when I’m heat setting in between coats of paint, the heat makes the tape start to come off, curl or peel back and then messes up the next coat of paint cuz the tape is different now! Should I just only heat set at the very end of all the coats? I heard u should heat set each individual coat. Help!

Nope I don’t think that would be fair, you’ve already committed to a price and shouldn’t go back on your word. Best thing to do is learn from it and re evaluate moving forward!
Is postage always so expensive on angelus direct to Europe as it’s $30 postage to England. I really want to do customs but postage is way out of my overall budget and 3rd party sellers charge 3 to 4 times the original price. Any help of where to get paint cheap would be appreciated. Thanks
Hey, I had to buy overseas from angelus too. I’m from England and I had to pay tax also😫 - i’d recommend just getting the angelus paints from ebay, even though they’re expensive you’ll still save a lot more than ordering overseas! Hope this helped.

Nope 2 soft will thin it out enough, and the hair dryer should do the tick

Yeah so sockliners should deifnitly be airbrushed, and you really only want to do about 2 layers

You don’t need any 2thin , the 2soft will do the thinning in this situation
