I'll be honest Adam, I'm glad InDex's was the last thing we saw on NXT 2.0 debut instead of Ciampa winning the NXT Championship for a third time. InDex is the most interesting thing in WWE right now since The Fiend & Alexa Bliss vs Randy Orton. As far as the NXT Championship, I was hoping for a tournament that would be won by Pete Dunne or Dexter Lumis. I like Ciampa, I really do, but right now Pete Dunne & Dexter Lumis are much more deserving to be NXT Champion than Ciampa. I'm also glad Kyle O'Reilly was never in the match because I think he is overrated. But that's WWE fault for having him win against Adam Cole in their first match and continuing their rivalry which wasn't necessary after he won.
This is one where I'd accept an "I wouldn't" as the entire video.
I'd rather Adam fantasy book AEW instead, there are a lot of missed opportunities in AEW.

Probably really good. That’s if he kept the same booking sensibilities as he did with NXT (straightforward story telling, long term stories, playing off previous history, playing to performers’ strengths rather than force them to be a square peg in around hole, bullet point promos instead of scripts, etc., etc.)

@@samuelmorrison258 Inclined to agree. AEW grew from the need for a North American major league alternative to WWE becoming intolerable. If Vince had stepped down years ago and Triple H had been given the reins of the main roster, Cody Rhodes might not even have left WWE for the indies and NJPW. He might have convinced the Young Bucks to sign with WWE, or maybe even Omega. He proved that he can respect champions from other promotions and treat them as they deserve based on their credentials. But nobody with any savvy in the industry trusts Vince to handle their careers any more.

I never even heard about NXT until the special when Zayn took the strap from Neville that was the first one i watched and i was hooked. Also introduced me to Kevin Owens who is one of my favorites of all time.
The Adam Rant (tm) at the start of these videos has become the part I look forward to most. This one was truly exceptional.
Because he likes booking tournaments so much, I’d love to see an Old School Re-Booking of the World Championship tournament from WrestleMania 4.

How Adam Would Book: Hangman wins the title from Omega
An idea i would personally use in Hangman's return is the fact that Hangman is now a father
Before he left, Hangman was always struggling with self worth and doubts, even on his best days it was always a shadow hanging (get it?) over his character.
But now that he's a dad, you could play up the idea that knowing he has brought a child into this world, that he has become this person of responsibility for the life of another, has given him a new found mind set of "I cannot afford to doubt myself, not anymore!"
I think he's gonna do his own version when it does happen.

Zyshawn Moore hell no. By 2017 the indie movement was starting to get out of hand.

but WWE did hire a lot of indie wrestler's instead of making stars

I'd go with "NXT Armageddon," cause that is essentially what this 'last stand' show is suppose to amount as- the total end of the old NXT.
I like the idea of the 5 wins because of what it means for tag teams, factions, and champions. Would champion's issue more challengers to try and rake up wins. What happens with tag teams as they gain the same amount of points at the same time as they inevitably head toward a match against each other? Does a faction work to make sure only their leader gets the wins or do they spread it around or is there jealousy? So much good stuff

It's funny to look at the division of LU's talent after the show ended:
The Lucha Bros (Fenix & Pentagon Dark), Jake Hager (Jake Strong), Sammy Guevara, Brian Cage (They Call Him Cage), TH2 (Angelico & Jack Evans), Sonny Kiss (XO Lishus), Thunder Rosa (Kobra Moon), Luchasaurus (Vibora), Ivelisse and Chavo Guerrero Jr. all ended up in AEW (although Rosa went to NWA first and Ivelisse ended up released), with Martin Casaus (Marty "the Moth" Martinez) and Jeff Cobb (Matanza) making cameos. Most of them have done pretty decently, particularly Sammy, the Lucha Bros, Rosa and Luchasaurus.
Ricochet (Prince Puma), John Morrison (Johnny Mundo), Frankie Monet (Taya Valkyrie/Mundo), Isiah "Swerve" Scott (Killshot), Santos Escobar/El Hijo del Fantasma (King Cuerno), Karrion Kross (The White Rabbit) and technically Kairi Sane (Doku) and Io Shirai (Hitokiri) ended up in WWE, some of them after stints in Impact first, and Kairi and Io only appeared in LU for a cup of tea anyway. They're either still in NXT, or ended up on the main roster _and are seriously regretting it._ Seriously, Prince Puma and Johnny Mundo MADE Lucha Underground in Season 1, but Ricochet is literally a jobber and John Morrison has spent his entire time as a flunky to _The Miz_ (and now their breakup feud has apparently been cancelled because Miz needs to go shoot another TV show, he's just a jobber too). And the less said about Kross the better.
A couple of the other big names ended up elsewhere, like Willie Mack (The Mack) in Impact and Mil Muertes in MLW. But it's mainly been a split between WWE and AEW (which makes sense, as they're the 2 biggest promotions in NA). But I wonder what happened to Famous B?

My only qualm is: when Shawn Michaels “avengers assembles” the five former NXT champions…what reason do they have to fight each other? What motivation is there for them to fight anyone but Kross? Like, any of them in a 1v1 match makes total sense, but in a 6-pack challenge, where Kross doesn’t even have to be remotely involved in the finish for it to conclude? I just don’t get that. Would someone please explain?
I imagine Adam wants to make Kross look like a billion bucks by having him fight a ton of former champions. Though I'd probably do it in gauntlet style match. Really have Karrion get put through the wringer as he fights it out though half a dozen eras worth of NXT talent.
You're still gonna want to be the champion/winner even if your partner is in there too, and we see it all the time. For example, Royal Rumble 2007 with Rated-RKO in the final 4. And what's a better way to strip away someone from a title that having him away from the pin? You take their treasure away and couldn't be there in time to prevent it.
Hopefully this helps to explain it somehow.
Kross is babyshit green. They'll need to fight eachother.
For Kross to look incredibly dominant even against the overwhelming heroes, a true Thanos type deal, they would eventually try to take each other out because everyone should want to be the champ. They are allies against Kross, but not friends who will just let the win escape them. It's deliberately set up against Kross, but he at this point in this booking literally needs a whole army to stop him.
Personally, I would've kept Joe because of his affiliation with Regal, kept KO and Nakamura because they're not doing a great deal on the main roster and were arguably two of NXTs most popular champions; but I'd replace Seth and Drew with Sami Zayn and Bobby Roode.
For similar reasons to KO and Nakamura, they were two beloved NXT stars who had memorable Reigns (Zayn's maybe not but the win was iconic), but also Drew and Seth are main roster stars who would almost certainly have story lines and need to be featured on Raw and SD. While I don't think putting top guys on NXT is bad, it does run the risk of overexposure for them and also would just feel jarring running alongside their main roster stories.
I'd just use guys who were super popular and synonymous with NXT but also guys who aren't being used so they can get some much deserved TV time.
Plus hearing Glorious again would be awesome.

Well someone from WWE clearly watches Adam. As of yesterday, they just changed the nxt logo, keeping the font but changing the splatoon color from sure enough, white, black, and gold
There's only a few things I'd change.
#1 Triple H appoints Wade Barrett as acting general manager once William Regal gets taken out. Wade Barrett acts as a heel authority figure who let the destruction of NXT commence because Triple H had the power to make him NXT Champion and never did. When Drake Maverick wins the NXT North American Championship, Wade Barrett comes out, says Roll Ups are illegal, Maverick gets DQ'd and Isaiah "Swerve" Scott retains the title because Hit Row paid the GM off.
#2 If HBK at Crown Jewels doesn't happen then neither does The Ascension getting released. Instead they return and join forces with Karrion Kross, win the NXT Tag Team Championships, and stop anyone from challenge Kross for the NXT Championship. The 6-Pack Falls Count Anywhere Brawl becomes a 8-Pack Falls Count Anywhere Elimination Match that includes Sami Zayn & Demon Finn Balor. Sami Zayn pins Owens after a Helluva Kick, and gets pinned by Samoa Joe after a Muscle Buster. McIntyre & Nakamura eliminate Seth Rollins following a Future Shock & Kinshasa combo. Karrion Kross puts the Demon to sleep after he pins Nakamura following a 1619, Coup De Grace combo. Samoa Joe gets eliminated after a Claymore from McIntyre, and Karrion Kross makes Drew McIntyre pass out while in the Kross Jacket.
#3 Instead of Ciampa vs Kross, it's Ciampa vs. Barrett for the NXT Championship which Barrett loses. Then Ciampa vs Brekker II where Brekker wins before retaining in their final match of their trilogy.
No NXT Endgame.... NXT: Curtain Call
I looked at the NXT 2.0 logo and it hit me that there is a reason for the wild new look. The white represents a new NXT like a blank white canvas. And the wild paint colors represent the ways it can be molded. Much like the colors make a blank canvas into art.
Samoa Joe vs Seth Rollins vs Drew McIntyre vs Kevin Owens vs Shinsuke Nakamura vs Karrion Kross sounds absolutely amazing...not really a Karrion or Shinsuke fan, but I know they're good, and the other four are amazing imo
Adam Blampied is the best at these things. If I'm running a wrestling company I'm wanting him as part of my booking team.

Welp, it’s May 2022. And although NXT 2.0 isn’t WWE’s worst show by any means (that would be Smackdown) some of the things we were worried about, did come true.
(Still) No one cares about Von Wagner.
So many new characters with new names and some old ones with new names.

Dolph Ziggler was at one point NXT Champion, main evented a (clears throat) NXT Premium Live event and actually won the match, only to lose it on Raw two days later.
It’s probably the horniest wrestling show on right now.
And a few days ago some of few actually established stars that were on the show got released.
Hasn’t been a year yet, and again NXT could be a lot worse (look at Smackdown) but, still a lot of warning signs.
NXT was fine as it was. It was developmental with the caveat that the wrestlers were Indie and already knew how to wrestle. And they got over on the main roster. Owens, Asuka, Keith Lee and a few others. As it stands RIGHT NOW, 2.0 is boring.
Nxt post aew was getting pretty boring. I’m not an aew fanboy but I can point out bad tv. It just wasn’t as good as it used to be. This revamp isn’t what it needed tho and it’s still bad
The old NXT doesn’t create stars for the main roster those indy guys can wrestle but that’s about it people blame the writers but you can only do so many stories with boring indy guys

The only thing I would change in this is to have Karrion comes back in time to defend the title(have Shawn announces that too) and it should be a multi-men elimination match for the title(or just fatal 4 ways). That way Karrion would look like a monster(because he recovers in time and probably is eliminated by couple finishers simultaneously) and have him loses clean to Ciampa 1 on 1 in a rematch.
Or just have Kross returns a week before the title match unannounced and inserts himself as a rightful champion.

it was just him giving background to NXT since a lot of people don’t watch it? i don’t see a problem with that and why you’d shift your attention more towards AEW. it’s like him doing a fantasy booking about AEW but before hand giving background to it. you wouldn’t go ahead and say “this is why i’m shifting my attention more and more to WWE”, like no, it’s simply background info, nothing wrong with it.

This is the right way to start something new, we remember the first smack down because the super stars of wwe were there to promote, damm it, that show started with triple h and the rock, but NXT isn't a raw, NXT was a pure wresling show, the gimmiks were more like personalities instead of cartoons, and the best way to start a new era is with the champioships in play, a really loooong tourtament that presents the new people to the audience, and a former star as the main man, this fantasy booking is the absolute best and it always made me think that fans have way more fantastic ideas of booking than the businessman of wwe.
PD: Also this nxt 0.2 is simple stupid and really dumb, old fans want wresling and godd characters, and new wresling fans just want to see Raw or SD, this new change hate the older fans and it isn't appealing to new ones, so nxt is now really dead
I feel like making a Rumble instead of a tourney would shock everyone and showcase the abilities pretty well. Just make the whole episode The Rumble

You also get the most eyes on as much talent as possible at once. Plan out the spots well enough and everyone in it will shine and you can build feuds off of it.
