I swore, all my life, that I would never ever do Watercolour. I also cannot draw to save my life. I've been doing collage and mixed media, and decided to try out zentangles, which led me to various videos, which led me to someone doing doodles with watercolour, and she referenced you... ... and I am so grateful to have found you. It's been 3 days and I've started my Watercolour journey, that's soothing and challenging at the same time, thanks to you.
I consider CeeCee as my art teacher, and inspiration in watercolor painting. Her creations are amazing. She truly has that calming effect because in watercolors it can be fun or torture, and she gives you hope. I love this painting! Gold rocks!! I'm so happy to have become a Patreon member. 😘💖🤎
You’d think I would have learned by now that I need to get my other tasks done on Saturday. Once I watch your Sunday morning video, all I want to do is paint! ❤️
What a wonderful video and a gorgeous piece of art, CeeCee!! I was afraid I would nod off at one point 😨 Obviously not from boredom but the peace you radiate with your music and gentle brush strokes. Oh my! Thanks for sharing the technical stuff. I love the palette. 💛
Enjoy wouldn’t begin to describe my delight and wonder at this exercise. Stunning. Your control is breathtaking. Love, love, love it. Will watch many times. I had to smile when your brush dipped into the gold but it made the painting burst with life. Thank you so much.
I love watercolor but haven’t mastered it by a long shot. I learned so much from this video alone, after watching numerous beginner videos from others. Finally found someone who demonstrates more on tints and shades vs. just adding more water or more pigment. Thank you! I love the outcome, by the way! Beautiful!
CeeCee, I have been following you on RUclips for about 4 years. I must thank you for being so generous by continuing to post your videos. I get so excited when I see a new post from you as I know it will be educational, inspiring, beautiful, calming and fun. You are a sweet person with a kind heart. Thank you so much!😊
I am more of a realistic watercolour painter, not a doodler, but I still love and admire your work. You bring such joy to the medium and teach me to remember how to play. Which is so fun and therapeutic. Your voice is sooo.... calming. Thank you so much ❤️
Wow! This was a beautiful way to play with colours. Loved the colours, the wavy lines and gold circles. Thank you for sharing this process with us. Would love to see a video on how you did the colour wheel too. You are a big inspiration to us. Hugs from South Africa 🤗🧡❤💛🦋💐
Nearly commented on how beautiful your French pronunciation is but then remembered you’re a native speaker! ☺️ I’m going to give this a try. I’m just learning and you are my greatest inspiration! Thank you for all the work you put into sharing with us 💐
The touch of gold just makes the whole piece pop! I love circles and do natural coffee stains with my coffee cup to distress my writing paper. I love snail mail and write letters but I want each experience of receiving one of my notes or cards to be unique and not a cookie-cutter style. I love your work👍💖☕
Wow that color palette is so beautiful! I’m struggling a bit with finding pleasant color combinations. But I will not give up and I what to thank you for all the inspiration you given me. I have grown so much in my artistic endeavors since I found your channel. Thank you again! 💕
You are so very, very inspirational. I just love listening to you talk and your gentle and motivating presence warms my heart and gets my creative juices flowing.
Today is the day I'm going to try to paint this beautiful painting. My colors arrived, finally. I'm now proud owner of: Gooooold ! 😀 Of course by Kremer Pigments. Some other colors that you often use, too, of course. Although I already know my painting won't turn out as beautiful as yours, I will have lots of fun. Thanks for sharing your beautiful art and all those helpful hints. Merci beaucoup 🌸
i'm only halfway through but had to mention how much i love that first blended color of red and green. it's wonderful! somehow both warm and cool, and still red *and* green at the same time. what a brilliant mix it created
I am such a fan. I am taking your advice to play with my paints more. Being a COVID survivor, this is so calming. I have had residual headaches and your videos are very calming. Thank you
This is a perfect project for learning about a color triad - and the best use of a small ceramic palette yet! Thank you for the inspiration - you've gotten me out of a rut SO many times! Cheers!
So relaxing to watch, yet so informative. I am a complete novice trying to get to grips with watercolours and all forms of mediums.. this was wonderful to watch. Thank you. Just love your style.
THIS is a perfect example of why I follow your art and am a patreon. I loved the whole process, the colours used and of course, the gold at the end with your doodles. Must do this myself!! Thank you CeeCee.
I love love love this video. There is something about the simplicity of it that drew me to it. The mixing of just three colors and black that really shows you don’t need a lot of colors to create an amazing watercolor painting. Thank you so much for sharing your talents. Katie
I watch your videos to help relax me after a long stressful day at work, thank you so much I appreciate all of your work and sacrifices to make these videos 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
CeeCee, I have a new addiction that's more satisfying than chocolate. IT'S YOU!! Your calming voice and gentle humor while guiding all of us through your artistic, creative and BEAUTIFUL painting has uplifted me through this difficult year. I feel I've been rescued and am inspired to try my hand at watercolor painting. You and yours stay healthy, blessed and safe.
You know what my darling girl. Feeling a little down, just found some of my belongings, being stored in a different location, have been stolen and what's left is trashed. Yucky. But, guess who I am turning to to bring me up out of the doldrums, no pressure, you. Love your work darling. Thank you for being you. Sherie Rodrigues 😍
I found this very helpful as I am just getting back into painting. I also like to pull forward when I paint….it flows more evenly and is less stress on my arm and shoulder.💕
Very beautiful. The colour wheel study looks interesting too. Would you please consider doing a video on how to choose colours and create a colour study?
I have a watercolor set that I’ve been too afraid to use. This video gives me a starting point. I haven’t tuned in much this year. It thrills me to see how much you’ve grown as an artist from your days of card making. Thank you.
Absolutely love Daniel Smith Cascade Green - it's my number one favourite. I agree that beautiful neutrals (not mud!) can be created mixing complementary colours. Transparent Red Oxide is on my list to purchase.
I love this video, and I love the doodles! You have freed me up in a way no one else has inspired me to do. I am mostly a landscape painter, along with florals, trees and leaves. I try to keep it loose, but never thought to doodle! Oh, the joy! Thank you so much!
I have been obsessing over coolish grays and warmer neutrals, including metallic gold, lately. I know they’re past their moment, in terms of interior decor, etc. but, I relate with you on the calming appeal of those colors together. This has been such an enjoyable exercise! Thanks so much!
Hi Cee Cee! I love it when you play, they turn out beautiful! Paper matters! I first tried doing this on Arches hot press paper and it was so ugly I folded up my paint palette, put it in a drawer, and said I’m done! I suck at this! I went and did something else for a while and came back and tried it on Strathmore 400 series and it was better, then I pulled out my arches cold pressed, 140 pound and tried it on a scrap 1:15 and it was much much better! Will attempt this again tonight After work. Thank you for sharing this color mixing idea, it is playful and inspiring!
This has to be the most on time video ever. I recently created a Pinterest board of palette that only consists of 3 to 4 colors simply to push myself to play with my paints more. I figured it would allow me to play without stress. This video was exactly what I needed!!! Another fabulous video CeeCee. Thank you for always being so open.
that's a great idea! i'm getting near the end of my first set of watercolors, it was the 36 pan MeiLiang set (which is quite nice for student paints) and now trying to hand pick a small selection of artist grade paints. i want to be able to learn more by creating from a limited palette. this video is a perfect reminder that less can open the door to more, creatively speaking. and perhaps in all things :)
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the work that you do and it’s such a great pleasure to watch you create these beautiful pieces of art - thank you for sharing it all with us xx
I will be trying this. So soothing and beautiful. Terrific approach, thank you. Funny, I took a photo yesterday because I have this EXACT color combination in one of my rooms and I wanted to explore it because I love it so much. I mean, spot on same. 😂❤
I loved this so much....like so many others said, it was incredibly peaceful and relaxing. It also made doing a color study fun! So I did my own, although I don’t have the Juane Brilliant. So I tried mixing yellow with white. That in itself was a learning experience.....the first one came out looking like baby poop, lol!! But I did finally come up with something pretty close. And I never noticed that the cascade green dried in the palette with the blue, but sure enough, that’s what it did! I had the Cascade green color but I’m not sure I had even used it before.....now I really want to play around with it. And the green with the Lunar black .....LOVED the granulation! This whole exercise was really enlightening and definitely inspires me to do more color studies! Thank you again for sharing your incredible knowledge and talent!
This is the most relaxing video I have seen in a long time, CeeCee, while at the same time making my fingers itch to get out my watercolours and create something beautiful as you have. Thanks for always inspiring us.
What a beautiful, relaxing exercise. I love this one. Thank you. I also like how you turned it into an artwork with simple shapes. I'll have to give this a go.
Thank you very much!!! for me yours lessons and arts some kind of magic therapy.. your way, your voice, slowly movements... i can not stop watching. and of course to try.. Thank you again for your talent and for sharing it! with love from Ukraine))
This was incredibly educational!! Made so much sense as you put the colours next to each other to show the variations in diluting, mixing etc. Thanks for sharing your incredible wealth of knowledge and skill!
since I see you for the first time I loved the way you paint. Sorry for my bad English-speaking , I only want to say to you what your works means for my works. Thanks from genoa - Italy 💕
Beautifully done as always and something I intend to recreate when I can get my paints out again. I love the colour wheel you made in your notebook and can see that would be a very useful reference guide to colour families or contrasts. I don't get on with the standard colour wheels you can buy online, they are useful but it doesn't help me understand the gradients or variances you can get with watercolour.
Thank you Ceecee. Interesting color combinations. After three years I'm still trying to understand the water and how much is too much and then too much pigment if not enough water.
Good afternoon ceecee 👋😊 I'm endlessly amazed by what you do and what you teach me with each video I watch from you thank you for sharing your time and knowledge of watercolours stay safe and be careful 🙏🖌️🎨✍️💌 and enjoy your week too😊

I feel the same
I didn’t think it would be possible to create a video that would be educational and so calming at the same time. This was blissful!
I totally agree with you
Likewise. Just a joy following this channel. 🖤
CeeCee there are so many tutorials on RUclips, and yours inspire creativity the best. Love your joy of painting and discovery. 💖
I love how you pushed yourself, as you always so, to bring your devoted fans something new. Thank you for sharing.
You’d think I would have learned by now that I need to get my other tasks done on Saturday. Once I watch your Sunday morning video, all I want to do is paint! ❤️
LOL thank you for the smiles!
Relatable!❤️
Sounds like me, Maureen.
So simple but so elegant. I have a very different feeling doing this rather than when I just paint swatches of the mixes.
thanks, Kathy! it's all about having fun while experimenting, right?! wishing you a beautiful sunday, my friend. xx

Agree! She’s awesome!
I couldn't agree more!
Love, love, love this one. Beautiful in it's simplicity. Also love the Canadian/French lilt..very soothing . Thank you again 😊
Such confident strokes! I'm like a tortoise 😆
CeeCee, I have been following you on RUclips for about 4 years. I must thank you for being so generous by continuing to post your videos. I get so excited when I see a new post from you as I know it will be educational, inspiring, beautiful, calming and fun.

This comment is my mind, too. But I m not good at English so I couldn't express enough. Thank you ^^ from Korea ~~♡

I’m going to give this a try. I’m just learning and you are my greatest inspiration! Thank you for all the work you put into sharing with us 💐
WOW, words fail me. This is the most amazing color theory demo in watercolor ever. You inspire. Thank you.
Is there a tutorial on how yow worked in your workbook before you did this piece for us
I would love to see and listen to it.
The touch of gold just makes the whole piece pop! I love circles and do natural coffee stains with my coffee cup to distress my writing paper. I love snail mail and write letters but I want each experience of receiving one of my notes or cards to be unique and not a cookie-cutter style. I love your work👍💖☕
A great exercise to play with paints..endless possibilities with colours
Love your pie chart with the gold!!
Stunning. Such a ‘simple’ painting but wow, the skill. I was soothed watching and delighted with the result
Wow that color palette is so beautiful!
I’m struggling a bit with finding pleasant color combinations. But I will not give up and I what to thank you for all the inspiration you given me. I have grown so much in my artistic endeavors since I found your channel. Thank you again! 💕
A wonderful way to relax is to watch you create
Pleasing, calming, delightful, entrancing, and simple. Thank you, my dear. :)
You are so very, very inspirational. I just love listening to you talk and your gentle and motivating presence warms my heart and gets my creative juices flowing.
I love color mixing, and what a fun way to do it. I must try this with 3 primaries that I like.
This was way more effective than an hours worth of therapy! So glad to have found you whilst looking for 'watercolour pattern making'. Thank you.
Thanks always, CeeCee. I was demotivated until now... now I want to grab my paints and play !🤗 and everything you do looks so beautiful! 🌸
Gracias señor Evans
Thank you telling us how you achieved values, and warmth/coolness.

Thankyou CeeCee. I love the music you chose for this video too. So lovely to watch and listen too.
This is a perfect project for learning about a color triad - and the best use of a small ceramic palette yet! Thank you for the inspiration - you've gotten me out of a rut SO many times! Cheers!
What a fun way to practice making different shades and tints! I will add it to my "to create" list!
So relaxing to watch, yet so informative. I am a complete novice trying to get to grips with watercolours and all forms of mediums.. this was wonderful to watch. Thank you. Just love your style.
What a fun exercise and beautiful painting! Be well. 🌞
Everything is so perfect here, CeeCee.... your lesson, colours, your voice, your choice of music and the outcome. Thankyou so much!

I accidentally discovered a very similar effect by mixing the Daniel Smith Blue Apatite Genuine with Undersea Green. You get a fabulous effect.
What fun! You brave girl...
Very beautiful. The colour wheel study looks interesting too. Would you please consider doing a video on how to choose colours and create a colour study?
Beautiful layout 💕

Beautiful as always. If only I didn't have to go to work. I'll have to wait until Thursday to try this and it feels like a lifetime away.... 💖
Love the pallet of colors.
I love this video, and I love the doodles! You have freed me up in a way no one else has inspired me to do. I am mostly a landscape painter, along with florals, trees and leaves. I try to keep it loose, but never thought to doodle! Oh, the joy! Thank you so much!
This is a great exercise to help my daughter (8y.o.) slow down in her work. Ill try this on, thank you for this inspiration!
This is one my favorites. I can keep watching this over and over again.

brillant idea for a colour study...and gorgeous painting...bonus!!! sooo love this!
It looks fine the combination of gold with those background, congrats from Guatemala

I’m so obsessed with this one. I hope I can achieve something even close to this.
This is so lovely and I love the waves of colours that you have created.
Those golden circles are just so luxurious.

I love the way you think!!!
Nice metallic nails to match! 😀
I am feeling a little inspired to do a few color studies of my own!
I’ve recently started watching your videos. This is one of my favorite so far. I love color and the nuances with just these three are incredible.
Beautiful, always enjoy your video's. Thank you for sharing your art. 👋🙃💜
