I think there are at least two other Famicom idol games? Or maybe they're like boy band games? One of them is a JRPG where the battles are interactions w/ fans iirc
There's also a Nintendo game where you date an idol, which I think is one of the earlier dating games

I know this game has a lot of "give balloon to duck" solutions, but I'd say as this game is so comedy driven that it's worth flipping through its illogical logic to enhance its humor.
