Don’t feel bad or apologize for your content becoming baby and motherhood focused… it’s not your job to stay relatable to everyone all the time! Your content is amazing!
Thank you for mentioning how you support modern medicine because that is really important and powerful. I am a pediatric nurse in a pediatrician office and the amount of times parents just dismiss the doctors and don’t trust science and modern medicine it’s just sad
To raise your child to be a light in the world - What a wonderful answer to how you feel about bringing a child into a scary world. Some might answer to put a bubble around their child, to withdraw from the world as much as possible.
I’ve watched you since you were I think a junior in high school, I loved watching you and Aidan grow up together and how you’ve developed into your role as a mother and wife. I look up to you so much and your level headed attitude and view on the world is so refreshing. I only watch 2 RUclipsrs now and you are one of them. Even though I’m 22 and single and no kids boyfriend or anything like that I aspire to be a woman like you that understands your identity as a daughter of God. Thank you for your presence on RUclips.
Michelle, I have been following your channel since you had less than 50k followers, and I feel like we are stepping into life stages and seasons together. It has been such a blessing to watch your content morph from young career, to married, to motherhood as my life has done the same! Don't ever feel bad for your content changing focus, I know many of us are just doing this life with you! Your content is the best
Hey Michelle, I just wanted to say that you have become my favorite RUclipsr since you are a mom. I suppose some people find your "mom content" too much, that's the opposite for me. Even if I'm not a mom yet, even if I'm not in your situation. You are an inspiration and I find you so good as a mom. You impressed me. Your videos are beautiful and very authentic. Thanks for all of your content, thanks for being vulnerable with us 🤗
I love how grounded you are, and how much you're enjoying this time with your family. I started out with a lot of ideas about what kind of mom I would be, and at every turn, I was humbled. Ultimately, I've learned that so much of this wonderful journey is not something I can control. Thanks for sharing this moment in your own journey!
I resonate with you so much! I love that you don’t weigh yourself or label yourself as a mom, you just do what you believe is best. That’s a great mindset to have!
I resonated so much with your comment around focusing on postpartum support more. I had the same experience of hearing so much online or from friends about the birth experience, but very little on postpartum. And for me, postpartum is where I needed more support and wished I was more prepared. Now we know!
Michelle, I can't express how refreshing and beautiful it is to see you grow and express yourself through all those seasons of life. I really respect how you reflect on and live your life. Thank you for sharing. We love you :)
I've noticed that people insult people's outfits/sunglasses because some of them are fashion snobs, some of them are insecure, some of them have honest opinions, some of them are mean, and some of them just don't like them.
I have 2 year old twin sons so my boys are a little older than Connor, but I love listening to your motherhood journey and hearing what God is teaching you in this season. It’s always something I needed to hear. I cried listening to the letter you wrote in your last video thinking about how faithful He is. So grateful for your videos- they always feel so refreshing 💛
I’m a new mama and I’ve been watching you for years, this video was so comforting and real. I appreciate your authenticity and genuine love for others. You’re amazing!! 💜🥰
💛💛💛💛💛A beautiful video. Thank you for sharing. I am in a season of being intentional with the content that I consume. I want to make sure that I am filling my ears and thoughts with content that honors family, healthy relationships, slow intentional living and most importantly God. Thank you for creating a safe space on the big wide web to come and learn. This was a great video and your perspective is of such value.
I have watched your content for years Michelle. From your first year at Kings College on. Many seasons of life. Your calming voice and your appreciation of all things has brought much light and joy to all of us. Your honesty and passion is so refreshing. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of it. ❤
Smart young woman. I’ve been married 37 years. Clear communication is so key. We cannot expect anyone to just know what we want or need. We have to ask and be clear. Took me a long time to learn that, so good for you having already learned it! 😊
I agree so much with your response about clear communication regarding household stuff. I think in a perfect world our spouses would just know exactly what to do. We don’t live in a perfect world 😊 I use a small whiteboard on our refrigerator to let my husband know what needs to be done. It sounds petty, but now he knows exactly what needs to be done without asking!
I relate to how aware you are of yourself and those around you. I am also very observant and constantly processing input from my environment which can sometimes lead to being overstimulated easy.
I love the longer sit down videos! I totally understand not wanting to restart the podcast since you have so many other things to focus on, but if you decide in the future to give it a go, I will be so excited! (:
Loved this authentic video, Michelle. I can totally relate to being more confident since becoming a mom and that really surprised me, it's like our time/priorities just totally shift once that little person joins us!! 🤍
18:17 re: I personally feel like I do see a lot (if not most) of ig/yt girlies “appearing” / “showing” to do it alllllll alone (even with a spouse), like cooking, cleaning, working on socials, and baby care, errands, etc! That to me is like huh! What’s the point of women working full time AND then still doing all the homemaking AND baby care! So it’s lovely to hear like true partnership behind the scenes! I think often it can appear these family men do the absolute bare minimum (just working full time), so it’s encouraging to hear not everything that meets the eye is the full picture!! I understand that most content creators husbands don’t want to be shown or families keeping things more private so that’s why it can look that way! I think the more it’s heard though that the spouses do show up, are devoted, committed, and do their fair share is encouraging not only to other women but other men too!
As a first time pregnant mama, your videos have brought me so much comfort, peace, and confidence for what lies ahead. I appreciate your authenticity and openness so much 💗
Thank you for sharing all those thoughts with us, i absolutely love the sit down chatty videos/pod cast style. Your podcast was definitely so relaxing to listen to and easy going, getting little glimpses of that same old style is so homey. It never felt like you were just uploading to upload, I was hooked to each life update. Totally understand that it might not be in the cards right now, but podcasting style videos/ audio are great content forms to listen to other people’s opinions and to learn from! We learn through stories and I always come out learning something new. Been here since NYC watching your 9-5 work videos since it’s most similar to my nyc lifestyle, please don’t feel any pressure when it comes to content. Motherhood is where your mind is at right now and your stage of life, therefore that’s where your videos focus on. Yes, it’s good to touch upon other things as you do, but don’t let other people sway what to post on your own account.
I love your mom content! I also had to formula feed after hoping to exclusively breastfeed! You sharing your story about that helped me to feel better!
The wedding clips look absolutely amazing !!. Hope you have an amazing day ! , don't overwork yourself , please have a good amount of sleep to you , your friends and family too Michelle ! :)) 😄.
Woke up to get a glass of water, ended up watching the whole video. Greetings from Australia! Loved your Cape Cod video, it felt like a vacation to watch.
Ahh Michelle! I love this so much and I am obsessed with your content! Thank you for being such an inspiration to me and I love your videos so much. You are so fun to watch and you are such an amazing mom to Connor. Ilysm and I hope you’re having an amazing day 💕
@@michellereedg also!! thank you for the POV of the scary world serving as a motivator for you to be a bad parents as opposed to a deterrent from parenthood. i feel like i NEEDED to hear this today / this year. thank you so!!
FTM here! 4 months postpartum & just want to say I love love love your content. You are a breathe of fresh air, Michelle! 🌸 (also are you no longer on Instagram?)
Oh wait. I think I’m blocked? 😢 I am not sure why.. hoping it was a mistake? We’ve dmed a couple of times, I hope you see this! I’ve been watching you for years.
I did love your podcast, but also understand you have to be intentional with what you focus time on now. So keep these occasional chatty videos coming!
I didnt gain a ton of weight while pregnant, but my body is just different now since giving birth. My hips are wider, chest is bigger, so clothes dont fit the same. I was pretty self-conscious about this in the beginning, but I've realized it's just not that big of a deal. My milk supply plummets if i dont get ebough calories so losing weight isn't a priority. It'll all work out in the end, but right now im content being a couple pant sizes bigger than before baby!
When you talked about no longer desiring to go out to restaurants with your husband it piqued my interest- what are some date ideas that y’all have tried or want to do together instead of dinner dates? I’m also a mama of a 10mo and we barely get to go out now so when we do we want to make it count and spend quality time together doing something other than eating! Lol
we saw a musical a couple months ago and it was so much fun! concerts, picnics… I need to find the vlog where I actually asked for date ideas, people left such good recs 🫢
I think school definitely depends on each individual kid like you said, but there are SO many coops and curriculum options out there now. Homeschooling is such a fabulous option. I was homeschooled all the way through highschool and was well prepared for college. I got through nursing school without any issues. I did extra curricular activities and sports through my local high school. I was not lacking in social experiences and friendships by any means. The best part, was I didn't have to spend 6 hours a day 5 days a week in school. It is a misconception that kids need to spend that much time in a classroom to learn. I got so much quality time with family that I would never have had. I am a part time horseback riding instructor and it breaks my heart when I have students come straight from school to their lesson. They are often exhausted and spacing out. When I ask them what they are going to do when they get home, they just say homework and try to get a full night of sleep. I live in Washington State, so my husband and I will be homeschooling without a doubt considering the cultural norms here and the politicization of the classroom. Perhaps it's not so bad in Texas. Or perhaps you will choose private school. I get it. I'm totally biased. But I wouldn't trade my homeschool experience for the world. I am so grateful for it. God will equip you to be your child's teacher. You were made for this 💓 thanks for sharing your beautiful and inspiring content each week!
Schools are much more politicized in the Dallas-Forth Worth area than anywhere in Washington. Conservatives have pushed such overreaching book bans that even the Bible had to be removed from libraries for inappropriate content.
