Howard will benefit more from the talent pool at Ohio state than Ohio state will benefit from having Howard at qb
They won in 2002 with Craig Krenzel all is required is leadership and limited turnovers.
I'm a Kansas State fan. I really like Will Howard and will probably watch a few Ohio State games this year just to see how he does. Will has a tendency to overthrow/underthrow the long ball and force some really bad throws (which kept us fans on the edge of our seats), but I think the talent at WR should compensate for that. If Will can get the ball anywhere near his receivers, his stats are gonna look great. Also, I expect him to tuck it and run, which is gonna keep opposing defenses guessing. Should be a very interesting season for him.
What is so wild to me is Oregon gets so much hype for bringing in both Dante Moore and Dillon Gabriel.. like no one questions their QB room at all. But with Ohio state, they get Julian sayin who is the #1 QB by both ON3 & 247 who is rated higher than Dante Moore, and Will Howard who is also rated higher in portal ranking than Dillon Gabriel in both ranking platforms as well. And Ohio state has a significantly better run game to take all that pressure off the QB that Oregon doesn’t have. Genuinely confused why the narrative between Oregon and Ohio states room is so different

There always a point where the QB needs to do something special no matter how good the team around them. Stetson Bennett and JJ McCarthy weren’t asked to do a ton, but both had to lead their teams to a game-winning drive in the playoff semifinals. I think Howard is experienced enough and talented enough to do that
K state scored TDs in 42 out of 50 tries with Will Howard in the game, 84%, best in college football by a wide margin. The offense is more than talented enough to move the ball between the 20s. Just need someone to consistently finish drives.

Any of the Ohio State QB should be competent, protect the football, have pocket presence and be able to run.
Howard can get us enough points, that our defense will shut them down. We had a first place defense last year and we got WAY BETTER!!!
