do you know What's weird about this?
all songs, all ost, all op, all ed... they are not talking or even they describe the evants of the manga or the final episode even
specially the lyrics, just read all of the lyrics from all the ost only and Compare it to the final ep
I will say only this, eren is still alive but inside the paths waiting for someone and the last op show that when he was seeing memories...
actually you don't know what really happened Behind the curtain and This is something bigger and deeper than you expect
just watch mikasa ova and you will know why and then watch all the videos that talks about the aot ANR ending which is the true ending

This being played in the final chapter with Levi giving the ONLY salute and TEAR in the whole show literally broke me😭
I really appreciate the ending and the whole show.
But I do think they missed some opportunities to use some OSTs, (like Reluctant Heroes, which is literally Levi's song), Red Swan, Call Your Name, and maybe a few others.
Either way, theDOGS was definetly a necessary song to appear in the ending, specially since it wasn't used in the show before, and it is to precise and prophetic about the show.

If you want to have your mind blown, I recommend re-checking the song "Call your name". The song came out in season 1. And you can easily tell what the lyrics refer to after watching the finale lol

Will you react to the ending song "To you 2000... or maybe 20 000 years later" that concludes the anime ? It's a masterpiece : incredible composing, mind-blowing lyrics, exceptionnal vocals (Linked Horizon of course but also Mikasa's voice actor). Pleease you can't really end SNK without this. 🙏
Eren's voice actor also sang with her in the chorus and in the end chorus with Linked Horizon. He even said the title of the song in Japanese in the end.
Idk if I can listen to this song without feeling like crying. This song playing while Levi giving his salute, Jean and Connie seeing Sasha, Reiner telling his mom he’s no longer a Titan. So much emotion sin this song

“Even the music is an Easter egg for the future” so true. That’s the genius of Hiroyuki Sawano. I have been listening to theDogs for years as it’s in the S2 OST but i never recalled hearing it in the show. Now it just has a different meaning after the finale. Oh btw are you going to react to the live version of “Counter attack mankind”?
I feel like another story like aot is certainly possible, and many people might be making it at this very moment. But the real question is, will their stories be ever published or gain attention?
Isayama had multiple times to not get aot in the main stream, most publishers denied to publish his Manga because of his weak art skills and "not being Shonen enough". Isayama also had an editor who nagged him to publish his Manga. Isayama was also lucky enough to have control over his anime, many mangaka have their animes way different than their mangas and sometimes even ruining their story or get canceled.
I feel like to get a story like aot to be publish and be mainstream will be a once in a decade or century thing, it really is all about luck to have those stories to surface.
Seeing your genuine love for this show is so awesome, being able to watch someone fall in love with a show from the very start to the very end and having all of that documented is truly special

Brother, you have no idea how every song has a meaning, in this show, nothing is wasted. I always recomend to re listen the ost with lyrics, it’s just a must if you want more from this show.
PLEASE Do Barricades! The Hiroyuki Sawano one! I don't think anyone else has done it and it's so good. It's the song playing in s4 when the scouts take out the Titans zeke turned
It was released in season 1 so I think that the lyrics are from the perspective of the Scouts, but knowing how this all ends is amazing how this can be seen from everyone perspective

3:06 yes!!!! we will, Warner's version of Attack on Titan has been in development since 2019. It will be directed by Andy Muschietti and produced by the producer of the Harry Potter series. Isayama was so happy with this team that he even drawed the Joker from "It" in the scene where the crowd fell off a cliff in the manga page(it's big crowd, he draw very tiny).

I watched everything what AoT offers and rewatched it multiple times and i just cant believe how good this show is. AoT is easily the best show ever made and it will probably stay as #1 for decades
From 3:00, the language this man speaks is truth and truth alone. Let haters be haters, but AoT is the best series ever made. It's unique, it's special and it's masterpiece.

This was the PERFECT way to wrap up the end of Attack on Titan. Couldn't have chosen a better song for that ending. I didn't even know of this song until that Episode.
Hiroyuki Sawano is one of the best composers out there. Anime or other. I have YET to come across a show he has touched and not felt big emotions. ❤
You should really do more of these AOT osts now that you've finished the series. Call Your Name, Zero Eclipse are my next go-tos after this one and they just hit so hard. Call Your Name has a ton of versions that plays throughout the series but the main two ones are the female vocalist version and the original.

btw after season 1 a spinoff was released called Attack on titan: Junior high which is both lighthearted and at the same time mirroring events from the main anime. It actually featured stuff that kinda spoil the later seasons. Imagine that...
Also since you asked - there is anime so similar to AoT that it was called by viewers "AoT clone". The anime is called "Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress"

Call your name is such a good song so as many others have done, I suggest you to listen to it.
But another one that I suggest to listen to and used only one time in the anime is “Attack on D” whit the final part with children singing that hits so hard (the part in which Hannes dies)
if you like series where there is inherent injustice and brutality, I’d recommend reading the red rising trilogy
there are a lot of book series that, if ever adapted, I feel like would totally quench the desire for another show like AoT

"man,woman child prepare to bleed" "can´t delete all the mess that i have seen" can be erens visions of the future. he was walking all the paths but there is always just that one outcome. bc there are cycles that can´t be broken. who sees the end of aot know. he wiped out the titan powers so that his loved ones can live a life without living in a cage. that was his goal from the beginning and he did it, so to say. whatever crap happens in the future doesn´t matter at that point. his beloved ones are free from these chains. even though they go through a lot that had changed them for the rest of their lifes. they are in their early 20´s or mid 20´s at the end. experiencing their young years as what all of them are...child soldiers/survivors. i dont think what happens after was easy going. having to build up everything from point zero. no cities left, no infrastructure etc. i imagine a hard life for them anyways. 07:28 💔

Personally I view Fate Stay/Night and Kara no Kyoukai(The Garden of Sinners) as the same level of writing as AoT. Honorable mention is also Code Geass for its writing. Evangelion is also excellent

Can you believe that we can just kill them all, in season 1~3 it means titans outside the wall, in season 4 it means people outside the wall, in the finale it literally means every titan, a cicrle back to episode 2 eren said he's going to eliminate every titan from this world.

Oh man AOT is my favorite show ever! You should react to My Hero Academia you will love it (also in terms of OST). Unlike AOT, MHA has some weak moments but they don't last and globally it's a real amazing show

SPOILERS FOR FINALE…
I’ve known this song for a long time and thought it was okay, but after the finale I now can’t hear it without crying. This plays during the scene where the dead Scouts and Sasha reappear to Levi, and Connie and Jean, and now I just picture that every time. And cry.
I’ve seen many refer to this as Erwin’s song and I don’t know exactly why that is, but listening to the lyrics it makes perfect sense.
I have the same thought as you often-will there ever be another AOT? Maybe. I can’t imagine it right now, because it’s just such an amazing story, and in my mind nothing can compare. Also, I tell people all the time that it’s better on rewatch and you really can’t appreciate the true genius of it until you see it a second time. Like you said, it blows your mind all the little things you pick up that you missed because you didn’t know any better the first time.
Anyway, thanks for reacting to this! I’d love to see more songs from the OST! 😊
