There's been an update to the Rich Text Editor! When you disconnect it from the CMS, it doesn't contain the content. Instead, it lists all the Heading styles. This allows you now to be able to style all the headings easily. 1. Click on the heading you want to style 2. Go to the sidebar and under the Style Selector, click in the "search box" 3. A list should appear - click on the pink button that says "All H1 Headings" 4. Beneath that, click on "[+] Nest selector inside of Rich Text Block (or whatever the class name is)" 4. From there, change whatever settings you want for the heading. Note: If it doesn't work, double check if the Dynamic Rich Text Paragraphs has the matching class.
damn this is so useful. u know what i recently did? i applied the styles i wanted in my rich-text-elements on their global scale (e.g. all images, all h1-h6's, all links, etc) and therefore i needed a class that would undo all of these styles i just wanted for my RTE xD that was some cumbersome s*** - but hey, its in the past now! thanks for the tutorial
what would be even cooler; if i can give elements inside an RTE classes-directly in the cms collection edit: sure, some code embeds will do this, buuut, the class names won't update automatically, and thats a pain for me to be honest
Hey Nelson - nice to see you around again! I'm enjoying this series - punchy and straight to the point! 👍🏻 One question if I may - after building it, I maintain my son's website, which also includes posting the blog posts he writes. No matter what I've tried I can't get paragraph text to flow around any of the images I add to RTE paragraphs. After pressing enter I can add the image and select the alignment (left/right/center etc.) but it just doesn't take. Any thoughts? 🤷♂️ Cheers, Mike 😊
Weird... Is this video out of date? Im not getting the rich text style panel on the right at all. That option doesn't seem available. Its just.the normal panel on the right with all the standard options....
Make sure you add a classname to your rich text element

For some reason I can't do it. Followed every step, but changed styles when disconected, gets lost once I connect it again. And the duplicating method also does not reflect the changes in the connected element...
Hi Nelson, I am curious: is there a way to enlarge the figure in rich text? It seems that no matter how I adjust it, it is still the same width. Thanks in advance!
if you're trying to make an image that is within a rich text element bigger, you'll need to double click the image, click the wrench icon, then click on the SIZE tab. There you'll see options to change the position or size. Hope this helps :)
@@pixelgeek Thanks for this. It seems they changed the unlink-rich text style to a different process. When I pulled up the new rich text, the default style only had different headers text styles without image
Nice, except... I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make "small" rich text pics not have that huge goofy mobile padding. I removed the margins from all figures but... nothing changed 😢 But, still... for the rest a life saver. If anyone who sees this comment knows how to get rid of those small image margins, please reply
