    My dad was 5'6, 140 lbs with 13 knee surgeries between both legs. That said, he owned a gym on main street for about 5 years when i was young, and was in GREAT shape his entire life. He was the oldest of 4 boys, and they all were super aggressive and competitive and fought bare knuckle back in the 60s and 70s.
    I was small growing up (i was probably 5'1, 130 at 13) but i was the youngest of 3 boys and had been made tough by all the older guys in my neighborhood. I hung out with people 8 and 9 years older than me my whole childhood because of my brothers. One day at 13, my dad and I were playing in the kitchen. somehow, both of us stepped perfectly into distance while throwing full speed punches. My dad managed to open his hand but still caught me on the side of the head. It rang my ears and almost knocked me out, but i managed to stay up. What i didnt realize was the hook i threw to his body had landed even better and broken two of his ribs. By the time i shook off the punch, i realized he was already laid on his back on the couch trying to catch his breath. He stayed there all weekend LMAO
    We swore not to tell anyone. He passed away february 3 of 2021. Miss you Lil Rick!

I’d been kickboxing for 2 years at this point, and although 2 years isn’t much, I genuinely feel like I could have beat him up. I chose not to, and settled for evading his punches, since he wasn’t really trying to kill me. But I’m actually proud of myself for that.

    "Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth" - Mike Tyson
    I think we as a group of men today give women way too many excuses to act irrationally. In reality, when a person gets hit, any expectations you have on how they will act, is based on the presumption that they're in their right mind. What happens if they're not? It's best that you don't find out, if you're smart.

    • @regrox
      @regrox 2 года назад +7

      Exactly, It's never right to hit someone unless you're in a life or death situation. Women (and everyone) need to take more responsibility if they start a physical altercation instead of blaming the man if he strikes back.

My parents never hit me out of anger and I've never raised my hand towards my parents in anger. My dad always said, if you feel then need to hit your kid with a closed fist or in anger, then it's your fault you failed, not his/hers. It's your fault cause you didn't find a better way to teach that child a better way besides anger. There's a big difference between discipline and being mean to a kid...
