Still rings very true today.
My dad was 5'6, 140 lbs with 13 knee surgeries between both legs. That said, he owned a gym on main street for about 5 years when i was young, and was in GREAT shape his entire life. He was the oldest of 4 boys, and they all were super aggressive and competitive and fought bare knuckle back in the 60s and 70s.
I was small growing up (i was probably 5'1, 130 at 13) but i was the youngest of 3 boys and had been made tough by all the older guys in my neighborhood. I hung out with people 8 and 9 years older than me my whole childhood because of my brothers. One day at 13, my dad and I were playing in the kitchen. somehow, both of us stepped perfectly into distance while throwing full speed punches. My dad managed to open his hand but still caught me on the side of the head. It rang my ears and almost knocked me out, but i managed to stay up. What i didnt realize was the hook i threw to his body had landed even better and broken two of his ribs. By the time i shook off the punch, i realized he was already laid on his back on the couch trying to catch his breath. He stayed there all weekend LMAO
We swore not to tell anyone. He passed away february 3 of 2021. Miss you Lil Rick!

His dad found God after that near death experience 😂
I also had an alcoholic dad, and he tried to fight me while drunk at 20… threw punches, but not really trying to knock me out, just wanting to hit me. I’d been kickboxing for 2 years at this point, and although 2 years isn’t much, I genuinely feel like I could have beat him up. I chose not to, and settled for evading his punches, since he wasn’t really trying to kill me. But I’m actually proud of myself for that.
I’ve felt bad about hitting other people, let alone my dad, for all his flaws.
I don't even know you. But I amproud of you my dog. It takes a real man to know when he is stronger than the next.
Then there's me, at 25 I had enough and rocked my dad right in the jaw. Haven't spoken to him in years. No Regerts 😂
Coulda been man of the house but I reckon you knew your dad would fuck U up
My dad tested me for years. Strangled me when I was about 20 and I told him it was silly and I wouldn't get revenge. He kept on testing me for years even up until he was 70. Because I'm a gentleman he assumed he could beat me up and used to try to bully me in places. He broke my rib swinging a big piece of wood 3 years ago, so I had to put hands on him
@@jerry-gees fix it.. you'll be rewarded in afterlife
Man back when he was fighting I used to hate Rampage's personality but now finding out he has 4 kids and just acts way more mature and respectful. Rampage is awesome!
Dude, that woman made the choice to hit a man, if we are to abide by the "everyone is equal" philosophy then what he did is not news worthy or wrong.
They all want equality until you hit them back. Me personally would never hit a woman but if you are going hit a man expect one back off certain men.
Equality means both sexes have the right NOT to get smacked. Equality doesn't mean you get to assault someone back lol. Getting tired of ppl not thinking for themselves and parroting every comment they see
So why not just hit her once? Why multiple times? And if we really going on equality train in what world is it equal for a mma trained man to hit (“defending himself”) a clearly small woman 😭😭
Imagine feeling justified in hitting the mother of your children, a woman half your size... you "guys" are pathetic.

"Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth" - Mike Tyson
I think we as a group of men today give women way too many excuses to act irrationally. In reality, when a person gets hit, any expectations you have on how they will act, is based on the presumption that they're in their right mind. What happens if they're not? It's best that you don't find out, if you're smart.
Exactly, It's never right to hit someone unless you're in a life or death situation. Women (and everyone) need to take more responsibility if they start a physical altercation instead of blaming the man if he strikes back.
If I see or hear that Tyson quote one more time I'm gonna puke.
That quote don't apply in this case so stop it

Are you slow? What you just said did not contradict what he said. You just gave an example of how YOU reacted. He didn't say literally everyone would react like Dana. He said you don't know how you will react until it happens to you.
People tend to forget that rampage use to be a savage back in the day
Yup
I'm proud that I was raised with respect and manners. Was raised Old School I guess you could call it that. My parents never hit me out of anger and I've never raised my hand towards my parents in anger. My dad always said, if you feel then need to hit your kid with a closed fist or in anger, then it's your fault you failed, not his/hers. It's your fault cause you didn't find a better way to teach that child a better way besides anger. There's a big difference between discipline and being mean to a kid...
That's a Huge problem in homes today...
Bro knocked his dad in sobriety 😂
My pops loved his whiskey, and was physically abusive towards me from as young as I could remember until I was about 23-24. After 18-19 I was strong enough to fight back, and probably put him out, but I never laid a hand on him. Took it for 5 years knowing I could put an end to it but for some reason I just couldn’t. That shit requires a level
If discipline that I can’t put in words. My heart is w everyone who goes through physical abuse from parents, stay strong 🙏🏽💙
You ain’t have your finances in order that’s why you was still living under his roof you had to deal with his bs
Had to choke my uncle out a couple times, he was 16 years older than I was and always instigating everyone. First time I got him I was 14, he was bullying me, and I choked him out in front of everyone. Then he cried like a baby and it took him a long time to get brave enough for me to have to yank him off the couch for messing with my dog after being told not to 3x, now we haven't spoken in 10+ years and he's afraid to look at me but it's the best possible outcome because he's pure evil.

Dad tried to fight me when I was 5 years into Jiujitsu, even though was a semi pro football player, big mofo. I was 150 at the time for competition. I had to get in in a leg lock because he kept swinging on me drunk. Almost broke his leg, now we’re semi cool. Who else has had to scrap with their pops?
Thankfully my pop backed down after I pushed him. Think he was surprised at how I took the punch. I was probably 18. Now at 40 we work together.
