What's wrong with Chen Long walking off the court after the game, he is so happy in beating Lee Chong Wei, after all you saw him say sorry to the umpire and to Lee Chong Wei. In my opinion neither did any wrong, it still is competition anyways, balancing happiness, ego and tact is quite a task.

Because, the rules clearly state you have hands with your opponent and umpire before stepping off the court to celebrate.

Chen Long is still young, he can't control his emotion well.
Hope he will get better and better in the future.
In this match, Lee Chong Wei plays better for sure.

we all know CL idol is Lin Dan, I like Chen Long now, his still quite young u know, his got more personality to his own then just copying LD by taking his shirt off, he did change alot, learning sportsmanship. I can't imagine LCW flip out tho.

this is last month's game, where Lin Dan controversially gave Chen Long a walkover in the semis... not sure why it needs a repost though

Yes - very disappointing to see Chen Long react like that.
I was there when Kevin Cordon beat him in the first round of the World Championships in August - how would he have felt if Cordon had given him no respect?
Good match though. Chong Wei as dignified and calm as ever....

All the hate comments make no sense at all. Chen Long DID go to shake LCW's hand, and it was LCW that was not gracious in defeat. He didn't even want to shake CL's hand or look at him.
Furthermore, in the final set, there was a point where the shuttle CLEARLY hit LCW on the back, but LCW won the point and didn't apologize for it.
These are just 2 competitive athletes trying to win, neither is above or below the other.

Lee Chong Wei, don't worry about Chen Long! Even though you lost, the important thing is that you keep your head high, and show that you have class. What Chen Long did was classless and ignorant, but glad to see you didn't react back to him in anger. You're my role model!

  • @Miqilin7
    @Miqilin7 12 лет назад

Yes Chen Long was obviously trying to piss off the Japanese people in the stadium by showing off.
Boasting in front of LCW was not exactly his intention.

    Agreed wholeheartedly.
When you see Lee Chong Wei beats his opponents, he will stand at the net and start chatting shit to his opponents in a patronising way.
When he loses, his reaction was completely different but not walking towards to shake his opponents hand and instead his opponents have to walk across and embrace him.
His true personality as a prick is fully shown when he loses.
Does lin dan do that? I dont think so.

i mean, how would you feel if you have just lost a premier superseries final?

    • @Zheheng82

Something that I have been pointed out couple of times. When he win the game, he expect players to congratulate him at the net and chit chat a while. While when he lost, he is quickly hand shake and walk away.

Really Bad!! CL running off like that!! Unbelievable, no sportsmanship and even influenced the line judge. Even the commentator Gillian disagrees. He really does not deserve the win

That awkward moment when the whole crowd stopped clapping and felt awkward.
    what an embarrassment.
