During a swarm on an arquarc mission on glacial strata i was running and tried to jump away but didn't know there was a massive fall ahead and this like level 300 something scout saw me, calculated where i was going to fall, and grappled to me to knock my body sideways and kill my momentum. saved me 95% of the damage. one of my favorite moments in that game.

I will never forget how me and a team of randos clutched a final Dreadnought kill during a Deep-Dive with nothing but our pickaxes.

The last clip with you tunneling the cosmetic down with a drop, when i was a greenbeard i was playing engi on this crazy azure weald map and we were at the bottom of this crazy huge pit and there was basically no way to get up, and someone died trying to do parkour to get out and then my gunner friend died trying ro revive him, i was scared so i put down a resupply pod while i was down there and accidentally did that with their bodies, sending them way back to the bottom so i could revive them.
No clip sadly but it was really cool. I TOTALLY tried to play it off like it was on purpose too

It's all the millions of little moments that make this game so special. I have hundreds of 15 second clips saved on my PS4 with no practical way of editing and uploading. So I just save em for myself 😅
There's a way! I think you can email them to yourself? I know I've pulled PS4 clips like that in the past.
@@DrillingInTheNameOf I'll do some more R&D and see what I see. I know I can upload right to RUclips but I can't do anything with the clip after that
Upload them as an unlisted RUclips clip and then you can use a third party site to download RUclips videos of off :) use this method all the time on my non RUclips alt lol
That scene of you in a tunnel with your whole crew down ... that is my life.
Although, if you had sticky flames on the CSPR, that would be a much safer tunnel

Have to say I've done the lost gear/cargo crate drop with the resupply. i was with some green beards and it like pulling off a stunt in battlefield 2 and they thought it was the greatest thing ever.
Beautiful. Maybe I'll try more driller builds, other than ice storm with epc mining😅

Any tips on using the cryo gun? I sometimes try snowball or spear but they hog so much ammo and lock your gun, i dont get the appeal. I 100% most likley use it wrong though.
Snowball and Ice Spear are both cool but in my opinion are more specialized than general use and probably not the best place to start. Try 2.1.2.2.2 with Improved Thermal Efficiency. With that build you get fast spin-up and can freeze pretty much anything before having to repressurize. You may already know this, but frozen enemies take 3x damage, so combining your Cryo with the EPC (with either TCF or Flying Nightmare) or the Temp Shock build from my Wave Cooker video are all really powerful. It also pairs great with Barbed Drills and Vampire because your drills will do 6x their base damage plus 5hp back for every medium-sized and above enemy you kill with them, and Impact Axes do big damage on frozen enemies as well. Let me know how it goes!
@@DrillingInTheNameOf i tried snowball again. It was okay. When hugr waves of enemies where clumped together u used it, froze everything and then wave cooked em and it was beautifull like fireworks! And like your video i also had the opportunity to fire em into a swarm of trijaws. Sweet revenge. Still not sold on icespear though.
@@lycon7000 Yeah I really only use snowball on mactera plague missions, since on that mission type it's incredible, but on every other mission I don't think it helps as much as just having a maxed out cryo cannon. As for ice spear, for a long time I couldn't find a build where it made sense, but when I started using @DrillingInTheNameOf's wave cooker temp shock build, I realized I wasn't using up as much ammo on my cryo cannon and I also didn't have an option for single target damage aside from axes, so I tried ice spear with that and I think the combination is awesome. Freeze and temp shock groups of enemies, freeze and ice spear single target enemies.

@@lycon7000 I also typically take improved thermal efficiency with 21222, like DITNO does. I think the faster spinup time in tier 1 absolutely crucial so you can freeze bugs before they kill you when you're getting overwhelmed/ambushed. Extra ammo in tier 2 isn't that much ammo, but better than the other options. Flow rate in tier 3 lets you freeze bugs faster, and an improved pressure gain rate doesn't matter if you never fully depressurize (which improved thermal efficiency helps you avoid). In tier 4, the extra ammo is twice as much ammo as the tier 2 bonus, but I find I rarely run out of cryo ammo, and having a bit more freezing power is nice, though if you do run out of ammo often then definitely take ammo instead. Then in tier 5 cold radiance is better than fragile for a bunch of reasons: 1) it functionally makes your freezing power greater because deals 60 cold to enemies within 4m every second and therefore it's a bigger freezing power boost than adding 1 freezing power to the gun, 2) it takes care of enemies that are behind you which you don't see, 3) it destroys all swarmers and jellies within 4m of you, 4) if you take fragile and bugs shatter spontaneously, then you can't drill them to get health back with vampire, plus flying enemies and swarmers/jellies automatically die when frozen anyway so fragile just isn't that good. But yeah, overall, what this build does is allow you to have high freezing power with plenty of ammo and the ability to hold down left click for a long time because the gun depressurizes, which basically means leaning into using the gun solely for freezing enemies since that's the most important thing it can do, rather than trying to do damage since you can do that with your secondary, your drills, and your axes.

That snowball clip was MusNothus! When he first showed it to me I was so focused on how many Tri-Jaws it killed (10 of the 12) that it wasn't until editing the video that I realized how many shots he dodged. Crazy move.
