My deepest condolences for the loss of your siblings. Pole sana. You have such a calm, and balanced spirit, that your videos are truly therapy. We are in the same state, and thanks for helping me accept and understand that I can view professional rejection through several other lenses, and not always race. Asante my brother.
Congratulations. This is incredibly insightful, Professor, and much of what you shared today truly resonates with me. Failure is a natural part of life and I truly believe is a good thing; we experience it to pave the way for success.
Thanks for sharing Wuod Odidi. Only those who make mistakes and reflect on their failures learn something. One thing to note and very important at least for me, Is to look forward as opposed to wasting too much time blaming a particular situation.
Just be strong and forecast as you always do. Happy to hear one from our village is being recognized and received a global a ward thanks and God bless you more.
You are so authentic and helpful. By the way, you are one of the most humble Luos I've ever encountered. I'm sorry for the loss of your siblings, and may God give you peace. Most people would not share their vulnerabilities, but through it all, God has blessed you, sidang, and I glorify him for that. Marrying late may have an advantage: more maturity, and the love your family exudes reflects that. You are in your 40's still young and have accomplished a tone. Hope to meet you someday Prof, met your lovely wife in Seattle when she was prepping for college. Thanks for sharing, truly uplifting:)
You make me smile with your American accent 😅....what makes a kenyan never think of visiting home leave alone relocating. My bro went yo America around july 006 when i was in 3rd form.upto date he hasn't visited home...recently started investing though...but i think still he has no plans of visiting
We brag on your behalf 😂 Congratulations 🎉 Sorry for your loss, I am dealing with the loss of a new born right now, grief and loss is such a dark place to be but by the Grace of God, we shall overcome.
Indeed failure is not final and it is also said that people who are successful also have the highest number of rejections and failures, it's our determination to succeed that makes the difference
Awesome. I just like the kind of spirit coz i appreciate it whenever I fail or fail to get results but then, however much im wounded i just never like to let it ground me
I think and I have said it to my relatives as well with similar problems. If you sacrifice one term of your children's education by putting them in a village school where hardly any English is spoken, they will emerge fluent in Luo and kiswahili. The rest is maintenance.
Your children can still learn dholuo fluently as they are still in the pupil stage or lower. So long as they are within their formative years they are on track. Don't give up. I made sure my children spoke dholuo ( though with an English accent) and they feel very proud of it. As for Swahili😮 but they pick it up as they are always keen on Kenyan music and news. They are now adults.
Luckily you are parents from the same community,lt shouldn't be an issue just always talk to them in dholuo, kiswahili is easy. You can as well buy luo beginner books.
You have described me. I have failed many times and still do but it's the attitude that we approach it which matters. We got kids late too. First kid @ 40 but now they're grown up . We also tried teaching them both DhoLuo and and Kiswahili but failed especially in DhoLuo. Kiswahili has been partially successful because they 100% fully understand but struggling with articulation. But we grab the small wins and move on I am currently redoing part of my roof due to mistakes I have learned from your channel. Thanks for your vulnerability. It is important that moving to diaspora has many unplanned challenges that we may have taken for granted before we came abroad. Blessings
In my opinion, getting kids early is good but the risk of raising them separately or alone as a single parent is higher. I see more stability in older couples who are mature and have aligned their goals. Just my opinion.
American grant world, it's a tough world. God is always working His way I our lives so that we can be sure that we made it in life because He is with us.
Everything happens as it should. Remarkable observations! Hongera, prof., and keep soaring, my friend👍🏾👍🏾

That is an interesting option!
Very well put. Your kids will grow up before you know it.
Thank you so much :)
As for Language, the kids will learn ,be intentional...games&plays with peers, music&local languages movies will do the trick
i hope they do! Thanks!
