      "The Pistons are undeserving champions." Jordan said on the games between 3 and 4 in Detroit in 1991. "The Bad Boys are bad for basketball."
      "Most people I know will be glad the Pistons aren't champions anymore. They didn't play the kind of baskettball you want to endorse."
      "I don't think people want that kind of baskettball. I think they want to push that kind of baskettball out. We may not have liked Boston because they won, but they were a good, sound baskettball team."
      Real classy Mike.

      @@melvynsngltn27 Oh wow Melvyn is here too. Like a sore loser? He didn't say anything wrong, it's factually correct that Detroit played a style of basketball that nobody wanted to endorse. He said, "most people I know will be glad Pistons aren't the champ anymore", even people that he knows around the league did not like the Pistons, and we know Celtics is one of them, given that Celtics walked out on Pistons without shaking hand after losing to them.
      Then Jordan went on to endorse Boston brand of basketball, "we may not have liked Boston because they won, but they were good, sound basketball team", did you missed that part? Doesn't sound like a sore loser to me.
      Maybe if haters are actually capable of reading between the lines, I wouldn't have to point out something this obvious.

    MJ talks better than any player, honest and commanding. Humble in defeat & you can also feel his hate for losing but hey never gave up, got back better the next year and STAYED with the bulls to bring to promise Land, he loves the city, he loves basketball and ONCE he became a champion, never looked back. Heart of a champion! Mind of assassin, moves of a wizard and IQ which is kinda lacking in today's players, he had the finesse and the best mindset in a game.

      @Kenneth Erickson That's only 1 year lmaooo. What did Bulls do his 1st 7 seasons in the league though??? Y'all make hella excuses for dudes mishaps for all those years & try to sweep it under the rug. Meanwhile trash Lebron for getting beat by the greatest team ever assembled in NBA history, the GS Warriors while MJ played tomatoe can teams like the old azz Lakers, wack Blazers & the dumpster juice Utah Jazz. Most folks can't even name 5 platers off those Jazz teams without the help of Google. Literally only 2 players on those Utah teams had made an allstar appearance before & we all know who they are. The rest of that lineup was TRASH filled with average role players. Seattle & Phoenix were the only 2 good teams Chicago played in the Finals. MJ had an easy ride through the 90s as he was the best player in a weaker defensive era. Keep the same energy with MJ that y'all have with other greats & quit riding the mans ballsack like he's the saviour of the free world... Oh yeah let's not forget the Bulls got bounced by Orlando when MJ came back until they got RODMAN the next season. You are a moron if you think the Bulls would have beaten Orlando without the Worm. Shaq & Horace Grant was giving the Bulls nightmares in the paint. I'm actually old enough to have watched all of this live so I remember most details unlike dudes who didn't get to see him actually play. Facts not opinions... I made a really nice living off of selling Jordans on eBay & I actually met the man during his Wizard run & I STILL think he's not the GOAT. I'm totally unbiased with everything in life & far from a moron jabroni.

      fish ball well actually I was playing basketball in a church gym several years ago and I lit this guy up for a couple of weeks and then he started with the hacking and holding, smacking me in my face swiping at the ball and after two weeks of the prison ball I told him “ if you don’t stop I’m going to get you back “ smashed me across the face once more and he went in for a fast break layup and I clotheslined him across his upper chest and he did a flip in the air and landed on his back. The guy to my surprise didn’t jump up swinging but his father was there and was trying to fight me and I was kicked out of the gym permanently. fish ball the basketball ball I’ve played is even more physical and dirty than anything in the NBA because there are no refs in street ball and fouls and physical play can get out of hand. I have had guys hit me with cheap shot elbows to the throat, chest, guys try and undercut you when your in the air all kinds of shit and I don’t cry or quit. I just wait to get even during the game and unlike most guys trying to be sneaky about playing dirty I’ll tell a guy on the court I’m going to get them back to their face. trust me pal you don’t know me.

And i think Isiah will always be bitter of THAT. Because Isiah deserved to be on the Dream Team over Stockton. Everyone knew that.

    • @sportingminds3311

      Ball Is Life Isaiah didn’t freeze anyone out. The leagues veteran stars did of their own accord. They felt mike was showing them up and he took backlash from it. Mike even said he was tentative that night in order to show how he didn’t want problems. articles.chicagotribune.com/1985-02-12/sports/8501080975_1_dunk-show-players-attitudes-star-treatment
      Mike and the bulls also berated the pistons before they knocked them off so it’s not like it was full sour grapes from the pistons for no reason. Every team was physical and could hit hard. Pistons just had the team philosophy that everyone should buy into it and not just the “enforcers” on the team.

    • @sportingminds3311
      @sportingminds3311 6 лет назад

      +DNICE41 If actions speak louder than words then Jordan should of just let his play speak and should of never threw a hissy fit about Isiah being on the dream team. Since he did then by your logic he's just as much of a sore ass as Isaiah. Jordan was also the leader of Bulls when they ridiculed the Pistons (which was done off the court in both post-game press conferences ruclips.net/video/lFK82GvfYyc/видео.html and articles articles.chicagotribune.com/1991-05-28/sports/9102170643_1_bulls-triumph-bad-boys-image-joe-dumars) so quit the holy than thou perspective of Bulls, they showed their petty faces when the time came. No doubt that Isiah was envious of Jordan because of the love he got from his home town of Chicago but considering that his team was able to taken down the Bulls 3 times as well as being embraced by Detroit he seems to be alright. As to the other people that wanted him off the team; everyone in the league had enforcers, the pistons made everyone on the team adopt that mentality. Other teams tried to do it but couldn't because they didn't realize it's not about just physically beating down an opponent you have to be good skill-wise as well. ruclips.net/video/ozCXf2zH-94/видео.html

    Broadcaster...GREAT JOB putting together the endings of the 1989, 1990 and 1991 Bulls-Pistons Conference Finals matchups like this, we can see how Michael Jordan showed respect and sportsmanship to the Pistons when he lost to them, while the Pistons acted like COWARDS and WEASELS by walking off the court with seconds left on the clock when they lost to the Bulls. It's not shown here, but John Salley stayed on the court to congratulate the Bulls, so he wasn't as cowardly as his teammates.
    The Pistons walked off the court with seconds left in 1991 because after the Bulls went up 3-0 in Detroit, Michael Jordan told the newspapers/press that the Pistons were a dirty team and bad for the game. The Pistons took offense to Jordan's comments and as the Bulls began to blow out the Pistons in Game 4, Bill Laimbeer/Isiah Thomas decided to walk off the court with time left on the clock as revenge.
    I understand that the Pistons were mad that Jordan was bad-mouthing them to the press while he was in the process of humiliating them on the court, but you can't walk off the court with seconds left in a game under any circumstance...YOU'VE GOT TO TAKE YOUR AZZ KICKING LIKE A MAN!!! If the Pistons were mad at Jordan, they should have waited for the clock to hit zero and just walked off without acknowledging him.

    In 1991, there were some members of the Pistons team who did, in fact, show class, and shake hands. Joe Dumars, John Salley, and James Edwards did.

      Yeah, of all Pistons, Jordan has a lot of respect for Joe Dumars. I think Jordan really only hated Isiah Thomas and Bill Laimbeer from the Pistons, maybe Rodman too but after they became teammates I think it eased up.

    Very Humble. No whining and complaining. Truly the best player in NBA history. Only player to win 6 Finals and 6 Finals MVPs when there were at least 20 teams in the league. Amazing leader! No player today will come close to surpass him to become the GOAT.

    Congratulate the winners when you lose. Shake their hands and answer any stupid questions the press may ask - "how are your emotions now, Michael, sadness? Frustration?" You don't walk off the court with time left on the clock (Pistons). You don't stand up and walk off the post game interview (LBJ). You handle yourself exactly like this man did here.
    As competitive as MJ was, you know this is the last thing he wanted to do, but he did it anyway.

      Yeah, go watch the interview. There's a huge difference between not congratulating the other team after a loss and exiting a media interview. That type of comparison proves your bias.

    • @Bionic_Fonzie
      @Bionic_Fonzie 6 лет назад +4

      angelofdeathjk - I did watch the interview. The reporter kept badgering LeBron about JR Smith. He asked the same question over and over. LeBron was obviously annoyed (I would have been too), put the mic down and left. He's getting paid 30 million. Answering stupid questions is part of his job description. If you or I walked out of a meeting because we didn't like the question, we'd be unemployed. James could have simply said "I'm done answering the question...next question" and moved on

    Imagine the level of hunger inside this man. To be denied a shot at the Finals for so many years, and to have to wait another year (year after year) to prove himself. Then consider what he did once he was able to prove himself. We don't wear the shoes to represent the champ. We wear the shoes to represent the struggle, disappointment, and hard work it takes to get to the top.

    MJ got the final laugh though when IT was excluded from the dream team.
