Nepal is epic. And there's such and amazing hiking and trekking culture in Nepal. So, we headed to the Annapurna Circuit to see what the country has to offer in terms of photography opportunities.
This Nepal series is going to be challenging, rewarding, and beyond a thrill.

Looking forward to the Nepal video's, my favourite country in the world!!!
My daughter is over in Nepal right now I believe hiking the circuit. She gets back to the states on Sunday. I'm from Colorado, but she's from Homer, AK and hiking with a small group from Homer. She lost her husband in September and I think she's doing this hike as therapy. It would be really odd if you ran into each other as I've showed her your videos!
Brendan and Gregg! I have never teared up while watching a trailer before! That time-lapse footage around 2:45, when the snow was blowing off the top of a peak, just as the last few rays of sunlight were tucking themselves behind that mountain...OMFG! So beautiful!
It totally got to me that you guys were there filming that! Was, and am, so excited for you!

Nepal is like a heaven
Did this trek almost 20 years ago before i found photography and before all the roads. Amazing place. Went over the thorung la in knee to waist deep snow and temps that never got above -10c. Cant wait to see your images buddy.

Each time I've done some strenuous high-elevation hike over several days, I went into it thinking "Yeah, I'm out of shape and this is going to be painful". When someone commits to a long hike, it's rare that they can simply give up half way through; it's fairly mentally easy to keep pushing to the end when you don't have much of an alternative option. My expectations about the pain weren't wrong, either, but what I didn't expect was how good I felt after a day or two of sore misery following several days of hiking, climbing, etc. Maybe the pain will last longer and there won't be much of a physical payoff the older I get, but at my current age it's convinced me that much of the roadblock in doing this sort of stuff is mental, and the satisfaction afterwards is incomparable.
On a side note, I checked and saw you're running a workshop in Bolivia in May next year. It's overall one of the most interesting places I've been and though I can't go on your workshop, I can't wait to see the videos from you and Tom. Definitely surprised to see how underrepresented the country seems to be in landscape photography, as it is just incredibly beautiful and unique. To any Americans going on the Bolivia trip: double check the visa requirements 'cause it can be a pain getting them squared away; they're much more lenient for non-Americans. Looking forward to the videos from Nepal!

Whenever you do those voice-overs with a prepared script I'm always impressed with how creatively and artistically you write. And your trailer was incredible! I have a question for you that I've carried around for a while but was raised again as you listed off your coming travel schedule... you must have a group of people dedicated to planning and managing your travel and workshops, right? I don't mean you have a hands-off approach, but it sounds like that planning and coordinating work would be full-time work for about 5 people...
