I wish I would have kept on after I had 16 rows of my granny baby blanket from your 1st. Tutorial but kept getting negative messages saying that it wasn't a good idea because baby's toes or fingers could get stuck or hurt etc. So I frogged it😥😞😭😢 but I know there will be another Thank you for all you do 💜Tina
This border is simple yet beautiful! I've been looking for a way to border my current blanket and this looks perfect! Thank you for the tutorial - yours are always so easy to understand and follow! ☺
Hi Tiffany, Wow!! Great blanket and I love the border 💖 Thank you so much for sharing everything with us!! Please take care and stay safe and healthy 💕💗💖
That blanket is gorgeous. I have a lot of autumn color yarn that I can make this blanket in and it would look beautiful. Thank you Tiffany, love your channel.
I really love this pattern. I've done this before but I've never put a border on it and this just sets it off. I would never have thought that yarn worked up that way. I love the colors and I'm going to check it out.
Love this blanket and the beautiful colors of that yarn!! I love the border you chose. I’ve never seen one like that. Thank you so much for your videos!!
This is really beautiful but I can’t get that yarn anywhere. I love the colour palette and the fleck, can you suggest an alternative which will give the effect, please?
Oh gosh, there are so many yarn options now. Just look for a size 3 or 4 weight yarn that has a beautiful color combination. Check out Red Heart Roll With It, some Mandalas, and really just checking down the yarn isle for something that speaks to you. 😊❤️🧶
It should! I tried to show how you could make adjustments to the corners if your count was different. With this adjustment information you should be able to apply this border to any basic granny square blanket! Have Fun!
Hi Tiffany. The link you put in to locate the yarn YarnBee colour sage in song doesn’t work. Can you let me know where I can order this yarn to make your blanket please.
Thank you so much for the heads up! Here is a good link that should work for you. I just grabbed it for ya. I'll be sure to go swap out the other link now as well. 🤗🧶❤️ CLICK HERE: www.hobbylobby.com/Yarn-Needle-Art/Yarn-Tools/Yarn/Sage-In-Song-Yarn-Bee-Glowing-Yarn/p/80784220
Honestly you can use ANY granny square you want. But I do have a tutorial for the basic granny square right here: ruclips.net/video/qaiqq0sejjA/видео.htmlsi=EljSMUegQDcZLnoN . HAVE FUN!
I love your tutorials. They're so well explained and easy to follow! Thanks for this tutorial. You're so close to reaching 100,000 subscribers! I have a question. I don't know why, but it's just been bugging me lately. I just felt like asking someone. Are crochet stitches copyrighted? (I don't mean to offend anyone.)
Hi Katy! I’m so happy you love my tutorial! Thank you so much for watching. That is a very good question! So, crochet stitches to my understanding are not copyrighted. They are too general. However, a completed project or pattern for that project can be if you protect it. And even that can be tough. Especially if the pattern is so simplistic that someone could randomly create the pattern themselves by accident. However, I have heard of certain patterns or projects made and sold and then copycat people will try to recreate and sell an exact duplicate. That’s wrong. It’s not completely black and white.
Probably a very sill question. I notice your size is 44x45, so if I wanted to do this for a bed cover - say for a queen or king I would just keep going until I reach the size I want? Or would it be better to do large squares, say 4 x 8, and join them together.
Hi Marilyn! If you are trying to make a queen or king size blanket you could absolutely do either way to get there! Though if you were to continue the granny square it would end up a large square shape opposed to smaller sections you could make more of a rectangular shape. 😊❤️🧶
I was doing the repeat for one large square following your granny pattern. I noticed my square started to get out of shape, is this expected or am I having a tension issue. Using # 4 with 5 mm hook. This is first experience asking a granny square. TIA
Hi Vickie! Don’t even worry about it. That happens. If it bothers you, you can always “block” your project when you are done and that will shape it the way you want it to look. I made a video tutorial on how to block your project if you’re not sure how to do it. 😊❤️🧶
Also, it is more noticeable with some yarn than others. This can happen from not turning after every row, the stitches start to slant one direction which cause a sort of twist in the pattern. If I am using a yarn that you can see that "twist" I will turn after every row. But sometimes that cause an unintentional line going up the project because of the way the color flows. So i might change every 2 or 3 rows
This is a beautiful blanket but as a beginner I am disappointed in this video. Well the title. The video as it is is fine, but you titled it as a Blanket pattern. Its not that at all. Its a Border Pattern. No where in this video did you show us how to start this blanket. You directed us to a link to the start but you literally showed us how to end it! I can't end something unless I know how to start it. You really should concider renaming this as Blanket Border Pattern.
I understand where you're coming from here Amanda. For the sake of this video I was trying to avoid being redundant by repeating the Basic Granny Square stitch tutorial I had just released. However, I can see that after some time it does make some sense to change the title for more of a border type video. Thank you for your feedback.

Actually yes! Great catch there. I did use an I/9 - 5.50mm crochet hook to make this project. 🤗🧶💖
