Great love it.
❤
Tiffany I love this 3 double crochet stitch ever since the day I Sat and watched this video 7 times to get it right and you are the best at telling all of us how to make the stitch. since then I have made 3 blankets with this stitch . So thank you and God Bless you.
I am thrilled for you!!!! Thank you so much for sharing your experience and that you have made 3 blankets with this stitch since. Love it! 🤗💖🧶
Wanted to make a blanket fast because the day I needed the gift was a literal week away! Began this blanket with 7 days to go and did a ton of rows the first day. I used a light worsted yarn held together with a 2 weight yarn and an 8mm hook. Didn't do any striping as the 2 weight yarn was a ombre yarn. Did 12 rows a day until I had a 50"x 60" throw in less than a week! Amazing! Thank you so much!!
Love the look of this! Lacy but not too many large gaps. Definitely on my to do list. 💚
Good explanation, Tiffany! I wondered what to do with that huge hook!
Love this pattern, thank you Tiffany for sharing. Absolutely on my to do list.🦋🦋
Thank you Tiffany. Beautiful blanket and I love your tutorials.
Stunning blanket, Tiffany 🥰 Lots of love and yarny hugs 💓
Very pretty and looks easy! Thanks for separating the videos. Everyone stay safe!
Really like the movement to this pattern. Now to find time to get it done.

Really nice blanket tutorial Tiffany, thank you 🙂.

Really love your projects! This is beautiful 💚
Awe! Thank you so much Gail! ❤️😊🧶
Beautiful blanket pattern, I really like it. Thank you for sharing. 🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️
I saw another video of this stitch and they called it the blanket stitch. No matter what it is called I've made several blankets using this stitch and I love it. Haven't tried it in a 5 weight yet but will now since I saw your video. Thanks.
Hi Sandra! Oh I'm sure there are so many names for different blankets using this stitch. I'm sure the name of the plain crochet stitch is called something different by itself. I'm so glad you enjoy it. I thought it was a brilliant pattern that works up so fast. Especially with the size 5 weight yarn! I hope you give it a try. 😊🧶🧡
Thank you Tiffany. I fell in love with the colors and pattern. It
took a while but I finally finished !
That's Great Jackie! I'm so excited you made this blanket. I had a lot of fun with this project and I hope you did too. 😊🧡🧶
Nice!! I will try this soon, thanks Tiffany.😊
This is the second blanket pattern of yours that I have followed and they are both so perfect! This one is my favorite though. I used a variegated yarn and the texture and stitch are awesome! Thanks so much!
I’m excited to try this blanket 💗
Your videos are great, so easy to follow.
Your crochet blanket is beautiful, thank you for the tutorials.
That is a beautiful blanket
This is a beautiful blanket and I think this is going to be at the next blanket I make cuz it looks very very easy and it's very very cozy but thanks Tiffany
Looks amazing!
Beautiful blanket instructions were great. Thanks.
You must’ve really been smart in math in school. You are the most detailed crocheter I have seen I am just amazed by what you know. Thank you for all your hard work.
AWE!! Thank you so much!! I am pretty good at math. I find that I use math a lot with my crochet projects. It's always been important to me to be as helpful as possible so people can really enjoy the crochet process. 😊🧶❤️
Just ordered the yarn for this beautiful blanket. Lion Brand has it on sale for 30% off if anyone wants a great deal. Thank you, Tiffany 🧶
Beautiful! 😊🧶
It’s beautiful !!
That is beautiful!
Love it! On my to do list
Beautiful shades perfect look 👍
This is a new stitch for me and I like it. The colors and pattern are very nice too.
Recently I tried a DC combination that places two DC's on the same stitch, forming a "V", without a chain in between, but it is not worked as a "V" stitch. Instead of placing the next row DC pair inside the previous row pair, you place the pair on a stitch. After a few rows it forms a very nice texture that is thicker than just DC after DC. It does not form the "V" stitch shape but one similar to a thicker and shorter herringbone stitch.
The way I do is to:
Chain any odd number plus three.
DC on the 4th chain from the hook and then *sk 1, DC2* across, ending with, sk 1, DC on the last two stitches. This would be the foundation row.
What follows is a one row repeat:
Chain 3 and DC on first stitch, *sk 1, 2DC* across, ending with Sk 1, DC on the last two stitches.
The chain-3 counts as a DC, so the repeat row starts with 2DC on the first stitch, and ends with an individual DC on the last stitch.
I have never come across this sequence of DC's, it just ocurred to me to try it, and I loved the result. It compacts the stitches giving a thicker texture than just individual DC's, without the "V" stitch look.
I am using this stitch sequence to make a pattern for small, travel size throws, (35" x 50") of two blocks of two solid contrasting colors and a divider thin one row line in between with another solid contrasting color (white is a general option). A three color blanket of two main color blocks that each take half of the blanket and a third color making a contrasting accent line in between. It requires very little yarn for the dividing thin, one row line, and more yarn for the two main contrasting colors that make half of the blanket each. I'm working on a throw with the colors violet and light gray, one for each of the two main contrasting blocks, and a soft white for the one row dividing thin line. It looks so nice! It resembles some the blanket from this video in stitch appearance and that is why I share it. You might like it too.
I also like making this two-block, three color throw with the 5DC shell stitch.
Hint: The travel size, 35" x 50" throw can double as a stole/shawl if you are a small person. This size and rectangular shape wraps around your arms and back nicely, giving a look similar to a cardigan.
Tip: When I crochet into the Ch-3 turning chain, I do it on the second, middle chain, not on the top one. It is easier to access and gives a straight border. I don't do a Ch-2 turning chain for the DC because it shrinks the length of the sides and the top stitch is hard to access, it is too tight.
Thank you for this beautiful pattern I am working on it now it's so easy and looks great. ❤️
Awww so pretty n looks soft n squidgy lol thank you

Wow I so want to learn crochet~ I am a visional learner ~ thanks so much ~ going to buy pattern ~ I think I can do this ~ Christmas presents 🤗 Thank you 💐
Hi Emma! You got this! If you are just starting out I recommend you also check out some beginner basics videos just to help give you a great foundation and avoid frustrations. I have two great videos that I think can really help. Check them out: ruclips.net/video/HM7i4mK_ndo/видео.html , ruclips.net/video/I6S8JdArqBY/видео.html 🧡😊🧶
So, so pretty! I always worry about using anything with wool on blankets because of washing/drying. Do you send yours to the dry cleaner? It's just too big and heavy to hand wash. 🤔
Thank you ❤️
Beautiful!! How do u keep track on what row u are finishing for next time?
Emeğinize sağlık kolay gelsin 🌺🌺🌺
Finally had the time and supplies to make this blanket. Mine is grey with variations of grey, white, yellow and variegated greens. I also used a size J hook so needed quite a bit more yarn to finish the project. Wish I could upload a photo as I had every intention to make this a Christmas gift but its so beautiful, I am tempted to keep it! I may have to make another one for myself ☺☺
Ooohhh I would love this blanket in the new colors that you used! I completely understand why you would want to keep it for yourself.😄😄 Maybe you should because it's always good to make something special for yourself. We crocheters rarely do so. I would love to see a picture of your beautiful blanket if you still have it! You can email me at into@crochetwithTiffany.com. Thanks for sharing Jackie! 😊🧶🧡
Thanks for sharing
Thank you for watching! 😊🧶🧡
Çok harikasınız çok güzel olmuş battaniye anlatım güzel
Thank you so much! I'm so happy you liked the tutorial Erdal. 😊🧶🧡
This blanket is absolutely beautiful! Love it!
Hola de MEXICO están hermosas ❤
Love it ❤ Guess I need to shop for more yarn!!! If made with a solid color how many skeins would I need???
I wondered that, too! In the drop down box I counted 12 skeins of yarn and she says at the beginning how much is needed altogether.
❤️❤️❤️!
❤❤❤
❤❤
Hi Tiffany! Abosolutely love this blanket and tutorial. I feel like I missed something. How are the stripes of the previous color made on e you change colors? Is that part included in your pattern? If, so, I can just check it out there. Thank you for your great tutorials 😁
Hi Diana! Hehe yes, I have colors integrated in transition. It’s explained in the pattern. 😊🧶❤️
@@CrochetWithTiffany Thank you!!😁
❤❤❤❤❤
Can l make this with a size 4 yarn? I know the yardage and hook size will change. Any other changes ?
Hi Diana! Oh yes! You can absolutely make this blanket with a size 4 weight yarn. All that will change is the yardage, the foundations row chain count, number of rows you will need to make and the crochet hooks size like you mentioned. Just keep in mind that the blanket I made was 50 inches wide by 60 inches long. So once you figure out the foundation row chain count to meet dimension, then just divide 60 inches by the number of colors you want to change and that will tell you how many rows will be in each section. 😊🧡🧶
You r good 👍
Tiffany, I just purchased a new N hook, and mine is a 9mm, not the 10mm. Is it the same as the 10mm? When and why did makers quit the 10mm? Thank you so much for your help, tutorials, and everything you do for us. I hope that someday I might be able to get notifications about your giveaways again. Yes, the bell is on. Thank you for asking. Lol. Just kidding. Have a great day!
Hi Cathie! Hmm, that is really interesting that they sent you a 9mm crochet hook. I double checked with 3 different crochet hook sizing charts and all of them said that the 9mm crochet hook is actually the M/N or more particularly the M size. However the N is more often joined with the P and will look like
N/P - 10.00mm. There may have been two options to choose from that would be confusing. M/N and then N/P. You wanted the N/P. If the website you bought from did just have your hook labeled as an N and identified as a 9mm then they have shipped you the wrong hook.
But neither here nor there, you have the 9.00mm hook. That will work. The stitches will be slightly tighter and smaller so prepare yourself that your finished blanket will reflect that. If you would like to follow the instructions for the blanket one size larger to accommodate for that you can. I am so excited for you to make this blanket! The pattern is so much fun.
As for my giveaways, I've put a pause on them for awhile. Your not getting notified is just because I don't have one coming out. However, you were not the only one not getting notifications. So I started posting alerts to things I have going on in the Community Tab of my RUclips Channel if you wanted to periodically peak in there to see what things you might be interested in. 😊❤️🧶
Thank you for reaching out to me with your question. I hope this helps and I hope you have a great day too!
This is great, good color selections by the way
BTW, subject matter around 3 minutes in, are you sure that your tension isn't the reason why some skeins seemed to have more yarn and some skeins seem to have less? I can see how the weight might vary, but if they measure the yardage or centimeters, I don't see how that can be. Our tension changes from time to time as we pick up and leave our work and things happen in our lives and between and then we go pick it up again....
Thank you so much Kaycee! I completely see what you mean about varying tension being a possible reason for the yarn length variation. I don't think that is it here. Great thought! But the amounts of yarn that each skein varied by tells me that they probably used a machine to roll the ball by weight and not by consistent length. If each skein was off by one or two yards I would think sure, maybe user error. But some skeins were sort 4 yards to get to the end and other skeins I had 6 yards left over after I completed the color. That variation is a bit to big of a difference for it to be user error. That's where I came up with the disclaimer....😊🧡🧶
Hello Tiffany....unless I missed it....could you tell me how many ROWS you completed in all to get the 60 Inch length? I have a ton of this particular yarn to use up and will simply add a row or 2 here and there using left-overs from another project to do the single and/or double rows so as to add color! THANK YOU so much for this awesome video and idea as I have to use up this yarn to make room in my stash for NEW yarns! lol!!
Hi Jackie! I had a total of 84 rows in this blanket. I hope that helps! I’m so glad you like this project and will help you to use the yarn you have on hand. Have Fun!! 😊❤️🧶
How big is your blanket? I have 1/2 as much bulky yarn.
