Theming around Lego Zoo Red Panda Exhibit

- Red Panda are one of my favourite animals and the space between the Botanical Gardens and the Otter enclosure is a perfect plot for a red panda exhibit!

Since Red Pandas are "escape artists" and you are building in Lego, a Red Panda needs to be out on the loose. I don't make the rules 😂😂

Something that would be cool is if you create different lands in the zoo. This could include like Asia or Africa, and would include all of the animals found in those areas. Then you could do like a petting zoo in the back or even an aquarium! Just a recommendation since I think this would keep the zoo more organized and look way more pretty with the architecture ring different in each of the lands! Great content as always!

So good to see what you are doing! Your red panda arch makes me think of the friendship arch in China Town in Washington, DC. I used to work just down the street from there. I look forward to seeing the red pandas in their new home.

Yeah it doesn’t look too big. 👍 Then you said yourself the idea I was going to give you which was to build up a bit of fence at the side of the structure. Trust the process 😃 It won’t look big once you start adding more into the enclosure and surrounding areas.

I feel your frustration of building things that don't work - I think 5 rebuilds of one set of windows was the worst case for me. Your pagoda looks great!
Have you thought about upscaling the pagoda in the Tranquil Garden set? LEGO has that new Asian building corner roof piece now (this isn’t a dig at your moc, I was just curious)
For the wall, you can make short segments of brick wall and have them attach via jumper plates to the base, then you can fill the gaps with ornamentation using bars to traverse both sides of the wall. This way the straight segments of the wall could be of any length (I hope this makes sense)

In China, they have their version of the Torii gate called *pailou* which are easy to build and would make for great simple entrances to an Asian animal exhibit, habitat or whatever the term is
These are great - just googled that, and I’ll try add a few bits to my thing to make it look more authentic! I don’t know why I didn’t look them up beforehand to be fair, I just built it completely out of my head. Also - love the idea of doing an upscaled pagoda - maybe for the keeper house 🤔 🙏🏻

It looks really cool and I love the idea of putting the otters and red pandas next to each other! Are you going to put all animals near other animals from the same continent?
I think that would be the best idea… luckily everything is modular so I should be able to shift things about within reason if I add more animals to the themed areas in the future. 🤷🏻♀️ thats the idea anyways! 😅

Maybe the entrance could be used for tigers etc?
Yess sumatran tigers perhaps - the new tiger piece lends itself nicely to be a sumatran 😁
