I would give Amazon Prime 5 stars if they would just introduce filtering of Movies by Release Year, Genres, IMDb Rating, Price, Movie Rating (G, PG, etc. ). For example, if interested in a Western released in the 1970s with an IMDb rating of 6.0 or greater. A filtering feature would greatly simplify my searches.

I don't like that you have to pay to rent videos after you pay the base price. Even for shows that are 40 years old are $1.99 an episode or $2-6 for a movie. Not everything but pops up more often than you would expect.

THATS ALL i need to know...NO WAY am I going to Amazon prime. Other streaming services don't BULLSHIT me with money costs AFTER i pay the base subscription entry cost. I don't like scams. Plus I have heard WAY TOO MANY people talk about the problems with the interface. I have a high powered PC. But I am told there are still some tweaking you must do to allow the "videos" you rent to play on your computer. Is it streaming or not?! Does it operate like Disney or Netflix? NO, IT DOESN'T.

Being a Prime member for the shipping, etc, I agree with all that you say, but the one thing I don't like about Prime video is the extra cost of the good popular movies that have been out for a long time. They seem to know what most people like and then they put a price tag on being able to watch them. I can see putting extra pricing on new movies, but also on older movies which many of us have seen in the past?????
Plus most the free video content I have seen in the past, so Prime video is not my #1 go to for movie watching. Note: I am mainly a Sci Fi movie watcher.

I love Amazon Prime. My Smart TV has the Prime AP and is programmed with ROKU. So, I use ROKU. Never had an issue with Prime. I go on my computer to scroll and find good series. BOSCH is a great series and there are many more. I don't think the people who complain about it gave it a good chance.

Another bonus, if you have a VPN, the content becomes even more diverse & multiplied.
Spain Prime has a tonne of Classic movies available, India Prime has lot of New Series & latest movies.
Every month the content gets updated.
    Thanks for the great videos.🙏

I agree prime video is very underrated. You spoke about their originals and they are good but I really like some of their original movies too & you didn’t even mention Thursday night football which is a huge draw too. Their hdr sometimes still gives me trouble ( too dark ) but it only happens sometimes ! Great video tho Craig !

My annual subscription is ending in two weeks and will cancel. Probably activate it for a month when second season of LOTR comes out next year.
Changed too much in the past three years and getting difficult to navigate around the pay walls and commercials.
Increasing foreign films, dubbed, and subtitled I don’t want and can’t filter out.
Slowly removing free movies/TV shows and I just noticed the “free to me” option is no longer there on my PC.
More tv shows with commercials and pushing this FreeVee.
    More “pay” channels.
It’s more like pay cable tv now.
It has gotten to the point that I might as well just start watching the basic cable tv that comes with my condo.
Makes no sense to pay for prime video then pay again for channels when I can just cancel Prime Video and pay as I go with an app of my choice for less than half the annual cost.

I’ve tried prime video twice, and twice I’ve had to discontinue it after about a week because of their formatting and interface nightmare which is particularly bad if your using an Apple TV… mine is the 4k version… their interface is soooo congested it packs things so tightly on the screen and it formats tightly in apples OS, not in a nice a spacious fashion which makes it SUPER hard to even read the name of a title, let alone what the title it about… and then there’s the quirk where about 50-75 percent of the time prime wants you to manually tell it you want to watch the next episode of a show, rather just continuous play which is also annoying… there should at the very least, be a setting where I can choose to have that option set for my viewing pleasure if I want it, rather than having to go and find the next episode and then relaunch after every episode… I really disliked that. That made Netflix worth the price hike, and peacock at 4.99 a MUCH better value… I joined because they had the sports packages, and left because I just couldn’t handle the interface

Being of an older generation, I do not buy things online. I paid for the subscription monthly. Then after getting prime video they tried to charge my credit card for the whole year. I later got a message on the answering machine asking for their permission to charge my card again. Now this was a recording while I was not at home. The message continued to say that they would go ahead and charge my card since I agreed. This struck me as if the company was unscrupulous, as Some other apps.
I do think they need to filter out the lesser rated content. I found myself spending hours each night trying to find something, only to give up. The newer content is geared more towards the younger generation. I would go months not watching much from the app. I felt like they were trying to scam me by only offering one season of a series and having to purchase the others. Anyway, I found myself more frustrated and upset by this app than most of the others. Once I deleted the app, I was relieved to not have to deal with the app any more. There is not much I would put up with like this. Thanks

I never liked to read as a kid until I read Tolkien, and I have loved to read ever since. Furthermore, Tolkien is practically one of the primary forefathers who invented the formula for what would become the fantasy genre. He’s not just an author; he played an impactful role in history itself. Tolkien’s literature is not only studied in universities, but it has also laid the groundwork for thousands of fantasy writers to this day.
Amazon using Tolkien’s writings for their own money making agenda is extremely disrespectful to Tolkien, his millions of fans, and to an entire subculture.
However, what takes this situation to an entirely new level of disrespect is how people are bringing racism into it. The fact that people, Amazon included, have insinuated that we are being racist and misogynistic for disliking Rings of Power is such a horrible insult and so off base. I find that personally insulting and enraging. How dare you insult people with such a horrible accusation without even knowing them.
It’s so disgusting that Amazon has even tried to play this race card in order to avoid the real issue of how they have ruined one of history’s best writers, because they wanted to make bubble gum entertainment just to make money. They fired the Tolkien scholars when they wrote the script that’s all you need to know. Amazon…it’s shameful what you have done, and how you’re reacting to your mistake is even worse, shameful.

My only experience with Amazon Prime is taking a 30-day trial and getting my free deliveries. I had my fire stick delivered free took about a week but I love it. The movies and shows and such I really didn't get into very much. The key point that I took away from ordering Amazon items and having them delivered was that I had my most horrific experience of online purchasing ever. Making a long story short is that I ordered a portable desktop ice maker and had it delivered to my best friends place for his wedding. They gave me a delivery date and said it was shipped so I started tracking it through UPS. UPS shows they never received the item. So I called Amazon explain the situation and they said there's nothing we can do until after the delivery date because certainly it's on its way. Total BS. So after about 12 days they sent me a letter saying that we can put the money back in your account apparently the package is lost. So then I requested that happen and for 5 days they put me off and then after about 16 days plus another 10 the money (and the item wasn't cheap by the way) was back in my account. So then I order it from Walmart for a few dollars cheaper and free delivery, it was delivered from a few cities away from his house in 3 days. Never again Amazon!

I'm sick of Netflix, they hit users with the same old crap in every genre. Prime video has much better content, but on the other hand prime video doesn't meld well with the Google infrastructure that I've installed in my home some while ago. In fact Google actively make it difficult to view prime content on my existing Google devices. Netflix monthly subscription plans are convenient at £5.99 on a tight budget, as opposed to Amazon automatically deducting a large annual payment immediately after the first month's free trial period ends. On top of that, I found Amazon love to constantly bombard you with Prime music too, they make it all too easy to accept it's trial period, not realising you've accepted another completely separate big annual subscription.

X-ray is annoying. I don't want to know who is in a scene and what are movies they've been in. All I want is to know how much time is left in the movies. But you can't do that with X-ray. And if that weren't bad enough I am worried you might actuall be taken to a page tell you to how watch those other films. I don't want to watch other movies. i want to watch the movie that I am watching. NO MORE X-Rays. Please get rid of it.

Don't get it. Dont buy any digital content on amazon. The prime app wont let you watch your paid for content, movies, after 30 days. Once the 30 are over it takes them away from you and makes you re-download them for offline viewing. What they wont tell you is that you will start getting erros and have no means to get help with this. I bought a few movies. Yeah, i cant watch them when i am online but once off line you wone be able to watch your paid for content. Amazon is too big now for their own good. The customer matters not anymore. It just sickens me to listen to this syncophant rant about amazon. He was prolly paid to say this crap. Take it from me. Dont buy it. Dont use it. If you want to buy digital content fine. I posted 2 movie reviews on Amazon in the last 5 or 6 months. The reviews were for "The Wheel of Time" and "The Rings of Power". Both were not liked by me for their massive changes to the books' story-line and the obvious, repetitive kowtowing to woke/gay agendas. I did not curse or swear, but I did freely express my disgust. Guess what happened?
That's right, just like conservatives on Disgracebook or Titter, I have been banned. I tried to review 6 things I had bought giving, 5 stars, but no - I am banned. My life will continue anyhow.
