- The Music Man on Broadway Final Performance at the Winter Garden Theatre on January 15, 2023. This video is FULL CURTAIN heartfelt remarks by Hugh Jackman thanking and acknowledging All at the Winter Garden, the many audiences who attended, NYC and the entire Broadway Community. In a touching brief speech Sutton Foster thanked Hugh Jackman for choosing Broadway and welcomed him back any time. This last show was very emotional for the Cast and throughout the entire performance there was much love, respect and tears shed on stage. The Music Man brought much Joy to NYC the past few years and in late 2021 was instrumental in the re-opening of Broadway, and bringing NYC back to Life. Took my 17yo grandson despite him not being very interested. He’d rather have been at a skateboard park. It delighted him and afterward he said, looks like Hugh was having fun, not working. I told him, that’s what it looks like when you love your job. Thank you cast, Hugh and all involved for a fabulous night which my grandson enjoyed so very much.
For every actor on stage, there are 10x more people making them shine and put on a production 8x a week.

I was so pleased to learn the actor's name is Kennedy Pitney- she made her Broadway debut in The Music Man at age 8 and has been with the production since June 2022. The audience was so supportive and loved her performance. It was an emotional night for All ! (cast and audience :)

Hugh Jackman, kindness and class. And leave it Sutton Foster to thank him for choosing Broadway. A tough gig if ever there was one, for an entertainer. Saw it early in the run. Pure joy. There is nothing to give one the "feels" as much as Broadway.
I’m crying watching those little band members crying. We saw the play in the autumn, fantastic!
We loved the show, everything about it, it was touching, fun, even spiritual because the whole aura of the show was that excellent. Perfection. Especially Hugh Jackman! Seeing his performance-an experience of a life time!
I was so touched by all the emotion of the children/actors . They will never forget this night!

ohhhh, little Winthrop. I remember being that age and having a show wrap and feeling so emotional about it. The Music Man holds a special place for me too, as it was my Senior year musical and I played Harold Hill. Hugh is such an incredible class act. This is cool to see, thanks for posting.

I had the enormous privilege of seeing this show in November of 2022, and was overjoyed! It was so beautifully done--as others have said, Hugh and Sutton are both such class acts. The whole cast performed it with such energy and joy! This is a special musical for me--my Dad was a retail music dealer ( a REAL band instrument seller!) and he always said that the final scene in the gym where the kids start to try to play their instruments and then the parents react with "That's my boy!" emotions expresses exactly why he did what he did. He gave so many kids the joy of playing music. Thank you to whoever videoed this and posted it. It was a thrill of a lifetime for me to get to see it on Broadway with Hugh Jackman!

I was there for the show on New Year's day and loved every minute of it! Everyone looked like they were having so much fun together. An emotional send-off, but everyone deserves too celebrate such a special show! Congrats to the cast and crew!

Thank you dear Brigid for posting this. I wanted so much to get to NYC to see this show , but was unable to get away from my life responsibilities. This gave me a sense of how wonderful the cast and Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster are! I sure hope that this cast was video'd for viewing at some point.

It's definitely all about the fans & the cast, as many broadway fans out there, will always give back to broadway cares. Of course the credit goes to theater staff & backstage team we love you all. Thank you for what you have given on broadway and in the west end, take care.
I feel the same way Hugh jackman does, having passion is what it's all about. I've learned not to make me special above everyone, the idea of having a speech made from the whole cast. ❤️

Saw this in February 2022. Must have been an off night, because Hugh and Sutton were checked out. He didn't have his makeup on in the first scene, I sat in the 5th row and he looked very ill. Sutton forgot her lines, broke the 4th wall and stood on stage head in hands. When you pay close to $400 a ticket you expect a little more.
So sorry that was the experience that night.
@@brigidnyc I think when the show first opened they still had kinks to work out. It's most likely that Hugh Jackman was probably suffering with some Covid related illnesses. It was obvious he was not well.

Note: in their Sept 2022 release, Apple stated that to record video in 4K at 30 fps or 60 fps requires an iPhone model of at least 256GB of storage (please verify with Apple).
btw, during 4K 60 fps recording, the still photos came out great too (to take a still photo while you're recording, tap the large white Shutter button).
