11 years later from this video, I saw him live at Broadway doing this very show. The guy is just amazing! What a performance along Sutton Foster! 👏🏻 👏🏻
Took my grands to see him in The Music Man. They loved it. Their reaction was priceless when they realize that he’s behind the newspaper and has been on stage the whole time during the opening number. They jumped out of their seats. They were so excited.😂
The Music Man Is one of my favorite musicals. Way back when, when our son was in 7th grade he was in the production of Music Man Jr. put on by our local Seneca Falls NY theater group. I absolutely loved it and had the privilege of sewing the barbershop quartet vests. The kids were great!
A spontaneous talent with an unforced masculinity who has more talent than anyone else on the horizon. Mr. Hugh Jackman is a bright shining talent who can stand up to legendary performers of any era. MAGNIFICENT!
I just saw him play Harold Hill on the Broadway production of The Music Man and I feel like my wildest dreams collaborated with Hugh Jackman’s. It was a thrill for both of us.
How can you not love this guy. Can pretty much play anything, does musical theatre as well as acting, drop-dead gorgeous, fabulous sense of humour, happily married for 18 years, a dad of two. Other actors must hate it when vying for the same role as HJ.
Orlando Bloom also got into acting because of girls, and consequently the two main roles he is remembered for, Legolas and Will Turner, have made him quite the feminine heartthrob. ^_^
Can we take a second to appreciate how at the start the drummer has some fun by going form playing on the downbeat to playing on the upbeat before doing a little fill then back to the downbeat 😂
Jean Valjean can adapt to any situation. After all, he has adamantium bones, heals rapidly and even has retractable claws coming out of his knuckles. So why would you think he needs to breathe in order to sing?
I think the reason people love Hugh, besides just because he's a lovely human being, is because he simply loves/lives to perform. Loved the man from the first scene in Corelli, his debut role on Australian TV!
I know this post was 2 years ago but they asked him to be the phantom, but he was working on a mother movie so Gerard Butler was next it line to be phantom
Benedict Cumberbatch would have been a better 2nd choice Phantom . Gerard Butler wasn't very convincing as the Phantom. The ladies will probably disagree because they are too busy swooning over him
Kid he still had an amazing voice though. I guess to me he tried to be the sexy phantom when we needed more of the creepy phantom. So, in my opinion Hugh Hackman would have been a better sexy phantom, but we still need that creepiness. Okay I just did a HS play on phantom, so I know the difference between sexy and creepy because they had two phantoms (because it’s tiring for one phantom to sing four days) and one was “sexier” while the other was “creepier”
***** Or a doggone thing. He's just a bang-beat, bell-ringing, big-haul, great-go, neck-or-nothing, rip-roarin', every-time-a bull's-eye salesman. That's Professor Harold Hill, Harold Hill.
OH my stars, is there ANYTHING this young man CAN'T do?? Everything he tries ,he is solid gold talented! & Astonishingly fit & good looking. AY DIOS MIO!!!! 💖😍💞😍💖
Hugh Jackman is a true gentleman, and a fantastic family man. Since I'm Australian myself, I feel so proud of his singing , and acting. His actual looks make my lower tummy flutter.
The Music Man was one of my oldest brothers faavorite movies ,my parents had a good friends who’s father played a small role in the movie ,hus name was Deloss Jukes ,when we were growing up there was a t v station that had a program was called The Million Dollar Movie when the Music Man was on we could watch it twice once on Saturday then agsin on Sunday ,this brought back great memories.
11 years later from this video, I saw him live at Broadway doing this very show. The guy is just amazing! What a performance along Sutton Foster! 👏🏻 👏🏻
I literally saw the show tonight. It was incredible. He and Sutton had such chemistry.
Well, not "tonight" but the 2 pm show. Still, incredible.
I took my granddaughters to see this with Hugh Jackman. He is insanely talented! Sutton Foster was pretty good too 😉.
Took my grands to see him in The Music Man. They loved it. Their reaction was priceless when they realize that he’s behind the newspaper and has been on stage the whole time during the opening number. They jumped out of their seats. They were so excited.😂
Just saw The Music Man earlier! It was really cool seeing Hugh Jackman starring as Harold.
Hugh Jackman’s handsomeness is ridiculous here
Always
This is probably why hes gonna be playing Harold Hill in the Broadway revival of this musical.
Omg really
@@kittyfoxcat7802 Previews start in September this year i believe.
gir5o1 that’s awesome
this video aged so well
It. Will. Flop. He. Sucks. Mark. My. Words.

Seeing The Music Man this weekend! ❤ Hugh!!
After so many years, it is just marvellous to see Hugh Jackman actually plays Harold Hill in The Music Man on Broadway ❤!!!!! Dream come true 🎉
A spontaneous talent with an unforced masculinity who has more talent than anyone else on the horizon.
Mr. Hugh Jackman is a bright shining talent who can stand up to legendary performers of any era.
MAGNIFICENT!
Talk about talent
I just saw him play Harold Hill on the Broadway production of The Music Man and I feel like my wildest dreams collaborated with Hugh Jackman’s. It was a thrill for both of us.
I never knew that he was an EXCELLENT singer. This man has true talent.
Well he did star in Les Miserables.
He's won 2 Tony Awards. You should see Hugh in Oklahoma! His voice there is so beautiful and he's really charming.
.
Justin Russo Actually according to WytZox1 it's not rap it's "Patter". Probably the same thing either way.
He was actually cast as Wolverine because the director was impressed with the fight choreography he did in a West End production of Oklahoma
Hugh is phenomenally talented, drop dead gorgeous! The most perfect human specimen. No one even comes close...LUV HIM!
Firework hs
Have you seen pictures of him walking his daughter to school? He's just perfect.
Yes I totally agree 😍😍😍
Exactly
He thought a wolverine was a breed of wolf.
Almost a superb as me!
Next video: Hugh Jackman has discovered he doesn't need oxygen and now lives under the sea.
How can you not love this guy. Can pretty much play anything, does musical theatre as well as acting, drop-dead gorgeous, fabulous sense of humour, happily married for 18 years, a dad of two. Other actors must hate it when vying for the same role as HJ.
I love that Hugh Jackman got into musicals because girls
Can't blame him it was the only way to get into contact with girls in his time.
@@davevd9944 in his time? what?
@@Daniel-yo5es He was in an all boys' school not that it was that long ago.
hugh laurie also got into acting cos girls, must be a hugh thing...
Orlando Bloom also got into acting because of girls, and consequently the two main roles he is remembered for, Legolas and Will Turner, have made him quite the feminine heartthrob. ^_^
Full circle, Hugh! Congrats!
If they do a revival of "The Music Man," I want to see Hugh Jackman play Harold Hill.
ALL the parts!
Emily Holasek YES!
Disney did a revival, a few years ago, with Matthew Broderick as Harold Hill. Not his fault, but it was utterly wretched.
It's happening.
Check his twitter account or fb.
They are! He just announced it on his social media!
Incredible. Great actor. Great singer. Great dancer. Incredible entertainer with a commanding stage presence.
That is what ‘the business’ used to call a “Triple Threat “!❤
Hugh Jackman ! OMG Your talent & charm continuously amaze me.
Can we take a second to appreciate how at the start the drummer has some fun by going form playing on the downbeat to playing on the upbeat before doing a little fill then back to the downbeat 😂
Oh I so want to see The Music Man again! I grew up watching it and listening to the songs on mum and dad’s record. Please Mr Jackman, do it again!
He is the most beautiful man, I've ever seen. In and out.
I played in the orchestra for "The Music Man" several times. One of my very favorite musicals. Fun to watch Hugh do that iconic early scene. Terrific!
I love that he's handsome, talented, a loving dad and husband, a star...and a complete musical theatre geek. 😆😍
Yeah, you got the "husband" part wrong. Been cheating on his wife for years.
@elliebellie7816 Yeah, apparently my comment hasn't aged well...
Everyone else: he’s perfect...
Keane Reeves: your breathtaking!
Hugh Jackman: NO YOU’RE BREATHTAKING!
"Teddy that's good" I'M DYING XD and this is adorable
Hugh Jackman is one talented guy. I loved him in Oklahoma, too.
I'm a senior in high school and this is our Spring Musical! I'm playing Harold Hill! :)
Congrats
We're doing music man in like 3 weeks
We're literally about to do The Music Man this weekend. I, too, am the great PROFESSOR Hill! :D
+Steve Guy well we are doing it on Friday Saturday and Sunday
Hill?
He's such a cutie! and such fun to watch!
Who else is looking up this reference in Deadpool & Wolverine?
You’ll miss it if you dont catch that reference!!
😂😂😂😂😂
Australia. They produce the most talented men.
And cricketers too
the world is definitely a better place with Jackman in it!!!!!
Hugh Jackman is full of surprises~ :)
Who needs breathing? Not him...!
If they remake that movie with him in it, I will watch it.
Oh god. Please, Hollywood not another forced trilogy. Leave The Music Man alone.
I won't
Same! Even though they did a remake with Matthew Broderick and Kristin Chenoweth.
Wolf Gear same
He'd be perfect. See ya later Matthew Boredrick.
"But HE DOESN'T KNOW THE TERRITORY !!" "PARDON ME, BUT I DIDN'T CATCH YOUR NAME." "I NEVER DROPPED IT !" (HAROLD HILL)
This was Robert Preston's role, on B'Way & in the film. Nobody can touch him !!!
I'm so excited to play Zaneeta in my show but he made Rock Island sexy.
Whattaya talk, whattaya talk, whattaya talk, whattaya talk....
merloon BALCZAK !!!
CrooningForLeftovers i honestly didn't hear a word he sang but he sounded nice
(Just a thought) I think Hugh Jackman would make an awesome Phantom (from The Phantom of the Opera) I wonder why they didn't chose him for the movie.😕

YES
He was the first choice I believe. Funnily enough, Anne Hathaway was the first choice for Christine too.
This man is incredible. I love you Hugh
My 4 daughters adored Hugh Jackman in his movies, esp as Wolverine.
It's been a long week for this now Grandma, this clip made my evening, Thankyou!
hugh is incredible talent
I'm a proud Aussie and we LOVE our Hugh Jackman!!! He is AMAZING! He is also a really nice guy! Love from Australia!
I'm happy that I'm not the only loser who memorised the entirety of Rock Island at the age of fourteen!
But he doesn't know the territory!!!
What's the fella's line?
Doesn't worry 'bout his line.
+legonatter105 Never worries bout his line?

This is one of the reasons to adore this actor
I love this man. He is the best ever!
How does Huge do it... self confidence, looks, great performer, entertainer, singer, actor, but not cocky or arrogant or egotistical...... ❤️
You gotta absolutely LOVE Hugh Jackman!!
he is perfect
Huge Act Man…
He would definitely be a good "Music Man!" next to Robert Preston - he is the best!
It’s happening. Check his social media.
Just watched him on Broadway. Fantastic!
What a talent!
OH my stars, is there ANYTHING this young man CAN'T do?? Everything he tries ,he is solid gold talented! & Astonishingly fit & good looking.

How fabulous now that he's going to play the lead on Broadway!!! Best casting ever!
An amazingly talented man.
And now he’s Harold Hill in the revival.
Like we needed another reason to love Hugh Jackman ... this is great. Thanks viki.
I like the way he made sure the drummer got credit (and face time on air).
When God made him, he broke the mould.
the hills are alive with the sound of Wolverine
YES
Holy fuck, he transformed in Eminem.
Please it's not.. f-ing rap...rap sucks ASS...this is musical theater.
@@johncreighton908 Rap isn't that bad, some songs are actually good but most are just mumbling and flexing. doesnt suck ass but isnt perfect.
well excuse ME sir☝️, but this is not rap, this is MUSICAL THEATER
@@johncreighton908I take it you’re not a huge fan of Hamilton?
You didn't know rap was originally a Caucasian form of music.
The best part is when He does that groin/hip thrust...
I'm watching this after recently seeing him in Logan... what an adorable man & so talented _*drools_
