- Hey everyone, welcome back to Biglin Lawn Care! Today I am mowing an overgrown lot that destroyed a neighbors fence. The overgrowth from the grass, vines, and pepper trees weighed down the chain link fence to the point of needing to be removed.
The neighbors reached out to the owner of the lot and the city but neither was willing to maintain the property. So, I decided to step in and help. I cut the tall grass and made sure to cut down the vines and pepper trees at the back to clear the area for a new fence one day.
This job was a lot of work but I'm glad I did it. All of the neighbors were incredibly grateful. Throughout the day different neighbors would bring me water, the neighbors who asked for my help set up a cooler with ice and drinks, and one neighbor gave me a $50 tip. This neighbor asked if I would mow around a fruit tree he recently planted on the lot to which I said "of course." This was in no way an inconvenience to me but he was so grateful that he came by and gave me the money while I was mowing.

I counted 34 of those huge bags of just grass clippings plus the whole trailer full of brush ! What an Absolutely Amazing job you did for those three neighbors ! Im sure they were in such delight to see what a beautiful job you did ! The owner should be ashamed of themselves for the neglect they put on all those around them . I truly enjoyed and was stunned With the results ! Im sure the satisfaction of a job well done is fulfilling ! Thanks for another community project for the betterment of all ! A faithful subscriber ! Yes the edging need work but he does more than most. I just saw him today and he is my #1 for now.
Omg you are actually pulling up the bushes. Everyone just cut through with their big rider mowers, instead. I finally found someone who get it. Proper lawn care. Yes awesome.

When I was growing up..
I am 81 years old....the city owned the streets and sidewalk. If you fell because of a crack in the sidewalk it was the cities fault.....WHEN DID THAT CHANGE? Overgrown grass is the same as a crack I would think. Just the mussings of an 81 year old lady.❤❤❤❤😂

Boy I was shocked at the outcome. Hopefully now someone can see the potential of the lot and build a house that compliments the neighborhood. Houses around are beautiful. That lot needs a family to make memories.

You must see Tim the Lawnmower from Australia when he takes on overgrown jards with his flyelmower, it cuts down small trees, busches and grass all in same time and you dont have to rum over multipel times

Let's see, Palm Trees, Pepper bushes, and drainage ditches out front, you must be North of Palm Beach, or North of the Lake.
I lived in South Florida for 34 years, and no drainage ditches out front in most neighborhoods. Well Done.

Bryan, when it's a huge job like this and the neighbors knew it, I wish they had helped with bagging the grass or help with the branches. They should have at least given you water! Bless you for taking this on🙂 Wonderful cleanup!

Thank you for not using plastic bags for the clippings. It's a WAR ON PLASTIC landfills and oceans. JUST AWESOME 👍😎❤😍
It's plastic bag not disposable but reusable mostly made from polypropylen.
Amazing job! I'll bet you just became the new best friend of the neighbors. Did you ever think of using a tarp to transfer the branches, twigs, etc. to your truck or curb? Might save you some time and energy. Thanks for what you do.
I hope you were paid $5000 for this huge and hard work. and I’m very glad that everything that was mowed was removed. All the trees still had to be cut down.
Great job. Part two would be great if you go back and shape those bushes and trees. Maybe get a tarp to pile on all those branches and save yourself unnecessary trips.

By the way, a little tip that I saw others do is when you’ve got a pile of brush to throw it on a tarp and tow it with your mower if your mower is available especially when you’re just by yourself and you got a long way to walk to the trailer.😁

Did anyone say if there was ever a house on that lot ? . . It would be unusual to have an empty lot like that in an established neighborhood for all those years. That was really an eyesore for the neighborhood, too - MUCH better now.

You are correct. We think alike. He pull some of the bushes too instead of running the big mower over them. He stillnrun through some though.
