Owner Passes Away and her Children want NOTHING to do with this OVERGROWN JUNGLE of a Property

- Today I have a lawn transformation with tall grass and a jungle of a backyard. The backyard of this property is more trees than grass! The owner of this property passed away about six months ago and it has not been mowed since. She has adult children but they are letting the bank take over the property. The foreclosure process is taking longer than the neighbors would like, so I decided to mow this lawn and get it looking good for the neighborhood. Let me know in the comments what you would do with a property like this. Hope you guys enjoy this video!

The lack of love and care in families today is heart breaking.
I can tell you what I did. When my mother passed away, I took care of her house, made sure that the lawn was taken care of and when it was time I sold the house. That was her wish. I made sure I did everything she asked of me. That is just what you should do with a parents home. You did a great job.
I love that you took your time in the flower bed, and not just wack it all down. Someone took the time to plant those with love. Thank you great job.
I'm sure the lady is in a much better place. I'm sure the neighbors are grateful to you. It looks like they keep up their homes

Hello! I think you took exactly the right approach here. You rejuvenated the property, making it look neat and attractive, yet you didn't materially change it by taking out a lot of the trees. After all, it is not your property, so making huge changes without permission might not have been appropriate. A beautiful transformation!

You were not kidding about having having lots of trees in the backyard!! It looks more like a jungle masquerading as a backyard but you made it look very welcoming and joyful!! It is a shame that the children are to self absorbed to care for the home. The lack of respect is heartbreaking!! Your hard work has made this neglected home look welcoming and beautiful. Great job!! Actually I LOVE homes that have a bit of a cared-for jungley appearance. Love the shadows they make, and love sitting in those shadows and watching and painting the birds and bees! I'm glad the way you left it, but just Cleaned it up! Good Job! 💗 I would paint a full mural in one of the bedrooms of bamboo and have nothing but a hammock in it!

I had to take care of my mom's house when she passed in 2012. It took me a year to deal with the reality that she was gone and it was up to me to step up and do what had to be done. I had the grass mowed so that the neighbors didn't have to look at a mess of a yard. It isn't an easy thing but the children of this person who passed away need to at least get someone to handle the sale of this house. Who would not want or need the money from the sale of this house? I know we don't know the details but to just let it sit there and not having the grass mowed is a shame. It looks bad for the neighborhood. I am glad that you took care of this one. As for the trees and things growing in the back yard I would have cut most of it down. It would be much easier to handle and it would make the yard look bigger. Good job.
This home probably had a reverse mortgage. I saw this all the time as a Real Estate Broker. The Mother lived on the equity and when she passed there is nothing for the Children. So now they have left the Reverse Mortgage Lien Holder to deal with it. I have seen where the Children even leave all the possessions and even food in the Refrigerator for the Lien Holder!
What a shame that there is no one to take care of this home. There are so many homeless families now. Thanksgiving is for us counting out blessings one by one. 😊 thank you
This is such an interesting property. The large variety of trees, shrubs, and other plants gives it a lot of character. You could probably have spent a few days just pruning in the back yard. I enjoyed the video. I found myself wishing it were longer.

I would remove as many of the trees as I could because if you are the last one to do this job for a large time period, then they would overtake the yard again! Just my thoughts!

Sure hope whom ever ends up with this property appreciates the value of a nice garden. The mature plants trees flowers and shrubs was obviously enjoyed by the previous owner and brings value to the property.

Thank you for taking such good care of this property. I just wish the neighbors had paid their respects to the deceased by taking turns mowing at least the front yard. So sad that a neighborhood can't help out in this situation. You did a wonderful job here, and did the right thing by not removing any trees. What you did was perfect.

Great transformation, you can see that the owner took pride in her yard. If it was my mother I would have come together with my siblings and would have sold it .... If cost effective. Until that time I would have maintained her yard. Keep on keeping on 😊

This has got to be my favourite type of garden, lots of plants, some grass and a beautiful Poinciana tree. You can see the love this lady put into creating her little paradise and I love how you tidied it up. Thank you, stay well 💚🐝

I agree there is just a few to many trees and bushes. Some types of trees are better then others becouse they offer great shade in the summer heat and shelter for animals. They are not at this house that I can see but I personally hate the palm trees/ bushes type of plant.

That was a huge job a lot of work for one man you did a fantastic job, too bad you didn't get there to do it before the dear soul passed away. It is done now it was once a beautiful grounds. It is terrible disgraceful the way some adult children are neglecting their parent's, or parent. Thank you for your kind deed, it is appreciated.

I don’t understand why would the kids walk away from the property, even at this point sell it to an investor even though you’re gonna not get as much on it unless it was mortgage to the hilt and it didn’t matter. This is an interesting yard. Its obviously the lady was a advid gardener and it is truly a beautiful and peaceful garden. Too bad she never power washed her driveway and walkways. It makes all the difference. Love you cared for the front beds. They look great now. Thank you for caring enough to work so hard. ❤

Even though I would prefer to open up the back just a little more.... it looks like a botanical garden now and the next owners might absolutely love it. I suspect this was once a well loved, beautiful garden and to strip it all out would just be awful.
I see too many plain, soul-less gardens without a tree, bush or flower in it, and it might just as well be green painted concrete.
Trees & bushes etc provide habitats for many creatures and it is seemingly forgotten that trees are vital for the health of this planet. We need to cultivate more natural places.
Just my opinion here.
Amazing work! Being older, I would make it easy for myself and remove all big trees near the house, all small bushes and keep the lawn clear of anything that is in the way of my mowing. I recently had my backyard done so that all I would need to do is mow and weedwack around my flower beds.
I would move the whole lot so it looked much tidier & lasted longer. Your work is absolutely amazing. Thank you for all you do. God Bless you.😊

If Mom left no will they are the heirs and it is up to them to decide together what should happen next.
