i just found out that youre still working on games, and i love how you didnt abandon the wooden battles community! As a fan of the first game, who has been making lots of battles and lots of experiments with the mechanics/ai of the game, IM SO HYPED!
This looks really cool! Something that should be added is manned guns on the humvee and maybe the helicopter. Right now there isn't a controller for the machine gun on either, and it'd be really cool if that were to be added. It also adds options if you were to add upgrades/sidegrades, like the first game.
Some vehicles will have manned guns, like technicals, but some will just have turrets. The current plan is to have around 10 playable factions, each with their own vehicles and infantry. The game will have different eras, Imperial, WW1, WW2, and Modern, each with it's own soliders and vehicles. In Conquest Mode, you can start with Imperial Era, and progress all the way to modern, but you can also select the starting era, and how far you can progress. In regular battle mode, you can just pick the era for both sides. Currently, I am creating the models for the modern vehicles. Then I will move on to adding imperial era units and cannons.
It'd be cool if you added troop transport vehicles, like trucks that have soldiers who climb out the back, helicopters that land and drop off soldiers, and planes that soldiers jump out of and parachute down
I would like to see an update to the old game instead of a new game. The old game is fine, why is there a need to release a new game? but you're still amazing
The new game is built completely from scratch, and the mechanics are different. In the old game there was no path finding, no vehicle support, it would be too difficult to add it now. The entire game would have to be remade from scratch, which is what I am doing here. I think it makes sense to just release it as a new title, then to completely replace the old game with a new game built from scratch.
@@staanislaw That will be in the game as well. The game will cover 4 historical periods. Imperial Age, WWI, WWII, and Modern Era. You will be able to select the age. While in Conquest Mode, you will be able to advance through the ages, but you can also lock into a specific age without advancing.
When do you estimate this game'll be finished? It looks super fun dude. Also, mod support? Like, custom characters or weapon support? Also, a cool idea: TABS-style unit controlling. That'd probably be hell to code, though.
I will make more videos soon. I have added most of the original units, with new textures, and some modifications. I still need to do WW1 and WW2 units.

I could create one, once the game is in a more complete state. I have been creating a ton of 3d models for now. I plan on having multiple factions, each with their own unique looking vehicles.

Suggestion- if a plane or helicopter is shot down, the pilot(s) will bail out and join the battle

also a real-time conquest mode like a traditional RTS would be cool, especially with this new modern take on the game you seem to be going for.
I am thinking about adding some troop transport, and paratroopers etc. But that will come later.

I'm not sure when, I think at least a year more. I will be looking into mods and customs units for sure. But I may add those after release.
