I use this liquid for screen printing logos. Photo sensitive to light . 👍 good idea.
it's similar but not the same as screenprinting emulsion, it's specifically designed to be resistant to the acids used in etching.
@@ThisDesignedThat yes similar & identical process . green red pink & blue emulsion I've use for etching on glass ceramic & printed as well . nice video
very interesting and thank you for providing interesting and informative video!
Thank you so much for this informative video! It really helped me to successfully etch brass sheets!
Glad it helped!
Great piece of art work.
Thank you! Cheers!
this is a very nice information to etch on metal :)
and just how much did this entire set-up cost? also seems quite labor and time consuming
not much at all, you can electro etch with a cheap bench power supply, they cost $50
@@ThisDesignedThat 😎👍🏼
Awesome!
Great vid! I'd love to know how you created that texture?
Its a print from eucalyptus bark, i'll be posting a video about the process next month, stay tuned
@@ThisDesignedThat Awesome! Can't wait to see 😁
Hi. Beautiful etch. Is there any danger in salt water electro etching? The internet is full of info about this and people have different opinions.
Very little, hydrogen is released so just make sure you are in a ventilated room
@@ThisDesignedThat thank you

How much detail can you get for this? I want to etch a photo of a face.
Its the same process you use for intaglio printing so you can get very detailed.
Can you etch with Ferric Chloride instead of electro-etching? Does that work for brass or just for copper?
Yes Ferric C works well on brass and copper
Would white vinegar work instead of soy sauce?
Not sure, sorry. Ask over on the non toxic printmakers facebook group. Im sure someone will be able to answer for you
Acetone would i’d say
What is the thickness of your metal? I want to get metal that’s sturdy/durable but not so thick I cannot cut it easily
For me its so expensive way.
