Well, Thurl is Geoff's role model, his favourite Bass Singer. I mean listen to him, Geoff's voice will definitely develop similiarly by the time he reaches 50-55 years old. But Thurl is between the lines of a true Natural Bass and a Basso Profondo, a deeper type of voice than Geoff.

@@GeorgeLifterMann yea, Thurl is amazing, he’s a great role model for bass singers. He was the most demand bass singer in the 50s and 60s. He actually said in a interview that the bass parts in Opera were to high for him lol.

    [Lyrics]
Stormy the night and the waves roll high!
    Bravely the ship doth ride!
Hark while the lighthouse bell solemn cry.
    Rings of the sullen tide!
There on the decks see two lovers stand
    heart-to-heart beating and hand-in-hand
Though death be near, she knows no fear
While at her side is the one of her dear.
Loudly the bell in the ol' towerings.
Bidding us list to the warning it brings.
sailor take care, sailor take care!
Danger is near thee beware, beware!
Many brave hearts, are asleep in the deep.
    So beware!
    Beware!

You need to add some tags to this so Buster Keaton fans will find it! This is the song that frightens Buster's character and his female lead in "The Navigator" -- but since it's a silent movie, of course, we can't actually hear the song.
