As a straight guy who thinks the other fellas all look gangly and fragile I'm in agreement on some level. So is Olivia Wilde though so he is the obvious looker here.
"You guys know how I like to dress up in a full scuba suit then hide in the bottom of porta potty and take pictures, right?" "Yeah" "Sure" *"That's how we met"* Has anyone noticed that?
He's probably just one of those people who doesn't have a lot of confidence in their singing voice. He's an impressionist so it makes sense that he would be a decent singer at least (since he's used to forcing his voice to switch between different specific pitches), but some people just naturally find it easier to sing in groups where the sound of their own voice is hidden by everyone else's and they don't feel so self-conscious.
This is hands down one of my favourite skits ever. The synchronisation, the song, the guys, everything is perfect. I don't know how many times I've watched it, and will always come back for more.
This was a string of sketches, and I wish I could find more of them. It's the same premise everytime, they listen to a catchy old tune and give worse and worse confessions every verse. I remember Will Ferrell was in one long before this.
thank you for this comment. I've been trying to remember Ed's name but they didn't put in the description and the comment is full with whether people are attracted to Bill or Andy.
“you guys know how i like to dress up in a full scuba suit and then hide in the bottom of port-a-potties and take pictures right?” “yeah, it’s how we met” so subtle, so disgusting, so good... 3:07
i know this is all jokes but this sketch reminds me of this kid i knew in high school who sorta acted like this. he didn't do anything fucked up himself, he'd just seen some shit and was just totally unaffected by it all. he'd tell us insane stories at lunch, but honestly he's still one of the nicest people i've ever met in my life. kinda wish i'd stayed in touch with him tbh.
@@TCt83067695 The four guys are obviously douchebags. I didnt watch the movie "human centipede" but maybe the guy who made it just chose people because of their douchey behaviour.
Happens on SNL quite a bit, sometimes they know they have a good sketch but they just have no idea how to end it, and given the nature of the show they don't have time to think of the perfect ending and sometimes they just go with something crazy.
This Cat Steven's song has been my mom's song to me since I was about 15 yrs old...first time I've been able to listen to it and LAUGH!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU

@@hd-xc2lz I thought it was to avoid turning completely their heads away from the audience/cameras. Though Bill is always the one I notice this from, I first noticed it on the Kissing Family skits, he would talk to others but look straight in front of him.

this must have been incredibly hard to film with the music sync...
The background music could have easily been edited to match the script.

They can all sing. Pacing shouldn't be that hard for them
Well-rehearsed I reckon. They all nailed the timing and there were no line flubs or breaking.
As a DJ you can put any part on a loop. When the line is done you can remove the loop and the chorus will play. They just knew the crescendo cue.
Bill Hader is so precious.
Ioana B. Yes
jake peralta
jack danger

one of the most beautiful and ingenious sketches by SNL. These guys are intimidatingly talented. :)
