All Alone With You In a Little Rendezvous, Fox-Trot (Lewis-Young-Snyder) - International Novelty Orchestra, Victor 1924 (USA)
NOTE: The International Novelty Orchestra started appearing in record catalogues from 1922 to the 1930's, becoming popular as the best-selling discs in USA and Europe under tte same pseudoanym. No one seems to have studied the different groups that were hiding under that alias and formed as studio units to make records with the catchy dance arrangements. In the United States, the International Novelty Orchestra was usually the pseudonym for the Victor house band conducted by Victor's musical director Nathaniel Shilkret in the Victor studios. The pseudonym was first used in March 1922 until 1927. Within that time a total of 135 tracks were recorded; 36 of these were rejected and 99 were released on Victor in the USA. Simultaneously, the alias International Novelty Orchestra was used also by the popular musicians in Europe, mostly in the UK.

This side was indeed performed by the Victor house band under the baton of Nathaniel Shilkret. Despite the limitations of the acoustical recording process, Shilkret's great talent and skill can easily be appreciated in this outstanding rendition. Thanks a lot for sharing!
