It's an unenforcable law. If they could enforce it, they would. Cops in general, are ego manical drones that love power and control. They wouldn't hesitate to dome you with a double tap and brag about it at the station. Don't think for one second that they're your friend.
I have the same model as you. Newer models purchased are most likely the gen 2 or updated versions. Initially release of these had problems but I got my a few months back and it’s been flawless. Let the haters hate. Zero malfunctions and I have it with converted Tula plum mags so it’s like my “AMERICAN 74”. If it has a problem, palmetto fixes it for free so I don’t really worry about it. I too am a sucker for imports but realizing how hard it is to obtain 5.45 and seeing the prices of those guns made me realize that 5.56 is the wave. For now atleast.

@@richardgarrison3085 depends on the ammo. 77gr I’ve gotten like 1.3-1.7. 55gr probably closer to 3. 62 grain steady low 2s. It’s delivered fine accuracy for me. It loves the AAC 77gr sierras.
A few things, I have the same rifle (mine isnt a folder). The handguard is the problem with the cleaning rod, I replaced the handguard with a real soviet one and the cleaning rod inserts fine now. The magazine that comes with the rifle is a proprietary one made by PSA and it is a very good magazine.
The problem with PSA is they don't dimple the receivers and they don't use swell neck rivets if they did I would buy one. last Russia NEVER ever wanted to join NATO period.
I see the psa and ac unity mags work in yours, have you tried others? I just snagged some of the Bulgarian 556 mags and they don’t lock in positively. Time to gonsmif them.
No, Zastava’s 556 rifles are patterned after 7.62 in the magwell. PSA’s are modeled after the 74’ which has a thinner magwell which don’t accept 7.62 width mags.

I have their 102 variant, shot 300 rounds down the range with no issues last weekend. So far so good. Going to order more ammo soon.

I never had any issues with any of my PSA AKs. Have 3 and all 3 operate as they should. Mine are 7.62 but soon to get the 5.56.

They’re more for Bulgarian and Russian spec guns but they’ll fit in Zastava and beryl as well but a bit more wiggle
