With an O line like that and the Chiefs D being terrible, why not. It's a tough game plan against teams with good front 7s like the jags, pats, or Texans but it's basically the perfect game plan for KC. I hope the Colts make the playoffs. They built a monster o line to protect Luck and he retires but they still got that o line. They should try and get Melvin Gordon in the off season to put behind that line next year.

Ball control. When your offense has no vertical threat, pound the rock, run out the clock, and hope you can score more than the other team while keeping the opposing offense off the field. It's not flashy, but it can work if you have a decent defense.

Jacobi looked awful, he couldn't complete anything when he needed to. The o-line, the run game, and the injuries to KCs defense are what allowed the Colts offense to work.

Here after the Chiefs are SB Champs and trying to figure out how the 7-9 Colts were the only team that was able to completely shutdown their explosive offense. They scored 23+ in every other game.

To be fair going for it is one of the only things I think Andy Reid got right that game. I'd much rather trust a #1 ranked offence to pick up 1 single yard than a 31 ranked rush defense to get the ball back within 4 minutes, even WITH a timeout
I have to disagree. Because they didn't convert that 4th down, it resulted in a two score game. Meaning that they had to rely on an onside kick to have a chance. If there was 2 minutes left on the clock OR they were somewhat deep in Colts territory then by all means go for it, but not when there's 5 minutes left and you're on your side of the field.
And it's not like this was a shootout game where neither defense can be trusted to make a stop. I honestly believe if they had punted the ball in that situation and trusted their defense it would have set up the Chiefs for a game winning drive.
