Offering to get himself jailed. Gives walker the tough choice of whether to own up to his own failing presidency or pin it all on a guy who just told you about his fathers near suicide
Indeed "im pulling my own trigger" Except he really issint now is he, even if the story is true or not he is doing the same to Walker now by putting him in that scenario of guilt knowing Walker has not the means too be cruel for the office sake.
I don’t understand how his wife was still close to Claire when walker realized Frank was manipulated things. After walker used the Floyd Mayweather analogy on how he studies his opponent, you would think both garret and his wife understood that the underwood’s should never be trusted at all.
@steverogers7601 The flaw though came in the Walkers' marital issues. The stress of the presidency was clearly another problem on top of the other issues they'd been having. Claire and Frank were united in becoming more powerful and influential that they knew how to work in tandem to get what they wanted, and that's why and how President Walker drank the Kool-aid from Frank's letter despite his Mayweather analogy.
“Seduce him, give him your heart. cut it out and put it in his fucking hands.”

The ultimate level of seduction. Making the other think he’s in control.

Outright the most powerful scene in the entire series. It really shows the level of manipulation Francis is capable of.

"Your life depends on your power to master words."

This is how you turn a truth into a lie.
What a great way to say it.
It’s not a lie if you believe it
“There is no truth, only who you choose to believe.”
The greatest and most effective lies have a nugget of trust within them.
I consider this scene the best in the entire series.
Agreed

Always loved how he stops typing and talks directly to us when he brings up his father with the shotgun.
makes me think that part may be true. I'm wondering, does he lie to us? that is, the audience. I get the feeling he is truthful to us.
So persuasive, best scene ever.
This was one of those episodes that capture ur attention the whole way through
a lie that sounds so sincere
If he tells you snow is white, he’s lying!
All of this, and Frank just ends up burning the confession letter lmaooo
Such an evil person lol
lol so evil. i always found that scene to be a bit cringe tho, a bit too literal.
I mean what else would you do with that, it served its function and gets discarded like many others who met Frank
@@stas6851 fair, good symbolism ig
Thankfully, Walker managed to get a measure of payback, and help his legacy.
@@matthewriley7826 i assume you mean when he didn’t plead the fifth? wasn’t that part of franks plan tho?
Fuckin' magic
President Walker: Jesus, Frank. I'm not your therapist.
