Same reason Donald Trump ran for president to repeal everything Obama did, after he was humiliated for his bullshit at the corrospondent's dinner :D Thank god Trump is a moron and not a Frank Underwood^^
Zoe’s death wasn’t actually unexpected. She sealed her fate when she went to the Underwood home. No one likes a snitch especially an “ambitious reporter”. Zoe’s biggest flaw is that she isn’t aware/doesn’t know when to walk away or to run. She played with two people who have the biggest poker faces. Even the audience didn’t know how deep Frank’s poker face was until Zoe was killed. With a man who lies as easily as Frank, the audience knows he is vicious, but we didn’t know the depth. He murder’s before because of opportunity and threat, but Zoe was murdered because she was beginning to become a fly. Moral of the story is be aware in this game of life, you can’t play scared, but you also need to know there are players who are callous about life itself. Run from those people if you are not willing to shoot first.
#10 - so the most shocking moment in that episode was when Claire looked at the camera. I got goosebumps! Claire breaking the 4th wall was terrifying because up until this point in the show, IIRRC, it was only Frank who spoke to us, acknowledged our existence.
I think that episode ruined the show, claire being vice president was already too stretched and unrealistic but she breaking the 4th wall in that way… they could have done it better. The episode concludes with frank trying to kill cathy in the dumbest way possible
When Frank killed Russo, I thought "oh shit, he's willing to do anything". When he killed Zoe, I thought "oh shit, how many times has he done this before? Is this the norm for him?".

A lot of these you could see coming like Frank becoming President or Claire leaving him, but my jaw dropped when Zoe got hit by a train!! Impeccible timing on that one.
Claire contradicts Frank in regards to Russia at which point he completely loses his shit. Then turns to the camera and ends the episode with "What the fuck are you looking at?".

The most shocking House of Cards moment is season 6 in it's entirety! I knew it would be impossible to lose Spacey and finish the series satisfactorily, i just couldn't believe how badly they managed that! Such a shame.
